| I just heard about a game exclusively for the I-pod made by Square Enix called Song Summoner. If you have an I-pod, I suggest you take a look at it. I thought a game this awesome would be worth sharing. | |

I think it's a cool concept, although the Monster Rancher series did something (somewhat) similiar over a decade ago. Song Summoner is more of a Final Fantasy Tactics-style strategy RPG instead of a Pokemon-style "collect them, train them, battle them" game, though. There's a few technical issues they still need to work out, and I'm holding out for an iPod Touch version, since playing with the click wheel seems like it would be a hassle. I do like the idea a lot, though, and for people who want to check it out: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/songsummoner/en/index.html

| Sounds like a reason to get an iPod. | |

| Heh, Penny Arcade ran a joke the other day about Song Summoner. http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/7/11/ This does have some interesting potential, considering the sort of... taste some people have in music. I mean, you just know somebody is going to try to convert William Hung's version of "She Bang" into a Tune Trooper. I'm almost afraid to think about what the result would be. | |

| I think the TUne Trooper for my fav song ("it Is Finished", by Petra) would be a crucified Jesus. O_o
ANd I'd HATE to see the offspring of "2112". The song's awesome, but it'd be one messed-up thingy.

| My initial thoughts while looking through the sommonable types...
"Original Gangsta" - He's white... He's angry... He's got gold chains. "Afterburner" - Holy crap, that can't get more stereotypically emo... "Punk and Disorderly" - Highlander blue face paint, but he's skinnier than the emo. "Hip Hop Monk" - Huey Freeman grew up... And will kick some ass. "Freedom Fighter" - Bob Marley in battle gear... With a bow and arrow. "TR-808" - 'Mr Anderson, we meet again... And this time I'm wearing spandex.'
I think if I get this, I'm gonna end up with a lot of TR-808s and Hip Hop Monks.
Not sure what all my Nine Inch Nails and dragonforce would turn into though.
