Diyeyaki
These carniverous plants are generally about as tall as a humanoid, with traps about three feet high that can move and capture prey. While its size alone doesn't make it a large threat to humans (unless they're very short), its pollen does. Sitting at about head-height, the flowers of the diyeyaki release a pollen with strong hallucinegenic properties. And they release a lot of it.
A small grove of these plants can release enough pollen to cause hallucinations across a large village. Naturally, humans, elves, and nekos alike try to kill these fast-growing plants so they don't become sitting ducks for a large predator. In rare cases, a diyeyaki can grow large enough to ensare kensha beasts in its traps. However, dryads, who are immune to the pollen's effects, usually try to get rid of these, as they're a strain on potential prey resources.
