Barack Obama has become the first black president in history. What do you think will happen in our future?

I heard a psychic say he'll be assassinated.

Personally, I think he'll introduce many socialist policies into the U.S., in some misguided attempt to help people. Over time, there will come a Stalin to his Lenin, and our country will die.

I think that socialism will be tried again, on our nation... and, once again, it will fail.

On another note: what do you mean, first black president? He's half-Kenyan. The whole "black, white" thing is society's incessant need to place everyone into categories. Oy vey. We'll never advance in understanding until people move past that. But if you insist on using categories, why is he considered "black", if he's half-white? The same reason Tiger Woods is "black", even though he's more Asian or Caucasian than African-American. It goes back to Plessy v. Ferguson.

I very much doubt that he's the reason our nation will die over time. I mean, if what I heard is correct, a higher number of precincts reported in - in lesser time - on the topic of Proposition 8 in California than for the President of the United States.

Let me repeat, people felt more interested in banning homosexual rights than electing their nation's leader.

And I'd say an Obama assassination, while unlikely, is much more likely than a John McCain one would be to occur.

Yeah. But I'd rather have Palin as President than Biden.

Obama is a douchebag, and I forsee many, many screwups in the future. I don't care if he has a ridiculously high favor with the foreign vote, FOREIGNERS ARE NOT A PART OF THE EQUATION. THEY don't have to live with him. And I for one am sick of all these speeches of how awesome he is, when the person giving them is NOT, in fact, a resident of the US.

I don't trust a man who considers the military evil, and ignores large groups of soldiers who go out of their way to greet him at his plane to shake his hand. I don't trust a man who apologizes to terrorists. And I don't trust a man who acknowledges the race card.
I don't trust him as far as I can throw him.

My prediction:

If Obama does a good job, hooray, you made history, kudos, good luck with re-election.

If he does a bad job, however, I bet everyone will quickly jump to blame it on his race, and America will turn into a great big racist hurricane.

But...if he just does a decent job...the reaction will probably be the same as if he did a bad job. Chances are, he'll be assassinated sooner or later.

First sign of terrorist attack on his part, I'll assassinate him myself.

I mean, I think our President should get along with other countries, but I do admit that Obama's cult following freaks the living shit out of me. When is the last time anyone fawned over a politician this much? Have you SEEN how many Obama-themed works are on DA? How many students wear Obama stickers? It doesn't do well to put down all those Antichrist rumors! If the Beast was indeed a single man (I've always thought it's more likely to be a nation or organization), this is probably how it'd come on the scene.

Shit will hit the fan if he does a bad job. He's got to, at least, keep the things where they are now and not let them get any worse. At most, he needs to dig us out of this hole and bring us back from the edge. Perhaps put up some hand rails.

And Pen, you still have to worry more about the US becoming a Christian Empire than a Muslim Nation.

I know, Malahite. But when you're shot on sight because you have your own opinion (AKA a muslim nation) then a Christian empire seems slightly less evil.

Still, I just wish the whole government was Agnostic, leaving the religion to the actual people.

It sort of is, right now. Well, I'd actually say the government itself is more Atheist than anything.

A Christian Empire would be a gross misuse of the faith... which would be exactly what the Enemy would want... it would probably make people more opposed to us than ever... hm. I should think about that. Perhaps that works into the plan somewhere.

Oh for Christ sake, Obama is not Muslim! and who CARES what religion he is? All of America has different religions and beliefs, no matter what others thing of them. Thats what makes America. The freedom and the uniqueness of Americans. And who cares if Barack Obama is black? face it, people. We are all human, we ae all PEOPLE, and we all have the same color blood and the same organs and the same bones inside us. ALL of us. Not just Americans, but the entire world. And another thing, how are you so sure that those stories that bash Barack Obama are true? They are probably just stories that people made up to make Obama hated. Honestly, I think this whole Presidential election was stupid. I stoped caring about five weeks ago. Whatever happens happens, and there is nothing we can do about it.

And Mikeimp, the thing is there's three people when it comes to Obama [for the most part]. First, those that feel he is the Anti-Christ and we're fucked for putting him in office. This can be further split into those that feel we may have a slim chance in survival, and those that feel we're already doomed and now we just need to hurry up and wait. The second is the people who are going ga-ga over Obama and see anything said against him that is not positive as an insult. The third, and a minority, is people who are apathetic or logical when it comes to the matter.

I predict millions of people are making pictures of Master Chief turning out to be Obama as we speak.
