PostSubject: Doctor Mack in Felarya (Chapter 4 is up)   Doctor Mack in Felarya (Chapter 4 is up) Icon_minitimeWed Dec 19, 2007 9:01 pm

Ok this is the first chapter to the Fic i'm currently working on. I wanted to put it on here first to gage it's reaction. If it goes well i will post it on my da account. Please tell me what i can do better before i post it (it is actually my first fanfic Smile ) PS - I suck at beginnings.

:Edit: After debating with myself, i finaly posted it Here

Location: Spaceship “Lone wolf” In orbit around Primeco

Mack walked the halls of the lone wolf, looking for the Captains quarters. The Captain had requested to see him personally before they set out, probably to lecture him about the chain of command and that he wasn’t in charge and blah blah blah. He sighed, he hated talking to Siruleon officials, they were always so serious and stuck up. Plus, they thought that he could memorize the map of the ship by looking at it for ten seconds, so now he was hopelessly lost!

Luckily for Mack an Engineer passed him by. “Excuse me?” Mack asked, grabbing the Engineers shoulder, “Can you tell me where the Captains quarters are?” The Engineer looked him over curiously, most likely looking for any sign of rank. “That depends,” He finally said, looking suspicious, “who’s asking?” “Survival Expert Alex Donavan, That’s who.” Mack Rudely replied. “The captain summoned me personally to talk to me.” The Engineer looked Mack over one last time, and finally said, “Take the stairs to your left two decks down. Turn Right, it’s the third door on your right. “Thanks.’ Mack Replied. He then turned and walked away, hurrying himself toward the captain.

Why was Mack calling himself ‘Alex Donavan’? Well that was an easy question; it was an atlas to protect him. You see Mack wasn’t exactly liked by his government. In his youth, he was a member of the Neo Human Rebellion against the Siruleon government. When the rebellion failed, he went underground, taking on multiple atlases and jobs. Now, after two hundred years of running, Mack just wanted to get off his home world, start a new life and all that, on another world.

Mack barged into the Captains quarters, not even bothering to knock. He spotted the captain, looking out to the planet below, a trail of smoke coming from his hidden face. He took out the cigarette from his mouth saying, “Don’t you ever knock?” “Well, I’ll start knocking the day you start giving out maps for this stupid ship.” Te captain chuckled, and turned to face him. Mack was absolutely stunned when he saw him. He had herd that the Captain was only in his late twenties, but one look at him and Mack thought he was in his Early Sixties! ‘Poor kid,’ Mack thought,’ is the war that stressful?’ The Captain motioned for Mack to sit, so Mack plopped himself down in the nearest chair.

“Now Mr. Donavan,” he began, “I asked you here so that we could clarify some things before you begin your mission.” ‘O here we go…’ Mack thought, getting comfy in his seat. “Alright, shoot”

“Ok, well first I would like for you to respect the chain of command. For military purposes, you have been given the rank of private.”
“Ok”
“Second, you are to only advise your superiors, which in this case will be Lieutenant Lincoln. If you do anything without there consent, you are respectable for your actions.”
“Ok…”
And finally, there have been reports of spies on our ship. If you have any info on this, report to me only.”
“Fine can I leave now?”
“Yes you may.”

As Mack got up to leave, a large explosion rippled through the ship. Before Mack could relies what was going on, he was thrown from his seat and onto the Captains wall, fallowed closely by half the things in the Captains room. The captain didn’t even pause to ask if he was alright. He jumped from his seat onto the wall and hit a communications switch. “This is Captain Sam to the command deck. What the hell is happening?” “It’s the Delurans, sir!” A very panicked voice replied, “They came out of no where and attacked us!” ‘Damn!’ The Captain thought, ‘The spy must have told them about the ship.’ “Ok, don’t panic. First fix the artificial gravity.” Mack, who had just dug himself out of the junk that fell on him, attempted to ask if the captain was ok, but was interrupted when his face slammed into the floor, accompanied by all the stuff that he had just dug out of pileing up on him again. The Captain jumped to his feet, and without another word, rushed out toward the command deck.

The whole Command deck was in chaos when the Captain arrived. Everyone was rushing everywhere. The junior officers were barking orders trying to maintain order. The remainder of the officers were barking orders into microphones, attempting to keep the ship in one piece. The Captain took in a deep breath, and yelled, “SILENCE!” With that command, the entire deck became dead silent. With a in human swiftness, the commander and order. “What is our current situation?” A frightened officer made his way up to the captain. “Well sir the Delurans came out of no where and attacked the main fleet. We suffered major casualties from that alone. Also, the two ships that were assigned to escort us have been completely totaled. So all the fire power were left with is the main guns, which are only loaded with minimum ammo due to this is a test jump.” “So in other words, we are totally doomed.” The captain said, without changing his facial expression. “Pretty much.” A huge shock then hit the ship, knocking everyone off there feet and onto the deck. “Report!” The Captain demanded. “Hull integrity down to Fifty Five percent sir!” A young officer yelled from behind a console, “If it gets to below forty, there’s a chance that the ship could implode!” “No, The Delurans wouldn’t want to destroy this ship.” The Captain proudly spoke, “They need the Light Drive intact.”
The Light Drive was the Siruleon scientist pride and joy. It allowed, in theory, for ships to travel to locations in space extremely quickly. It was much faster than the slow portal system that the Delurans had. The Lone Wolf was supposed to test it out today. Unfortunately, a spy onboard the Lone Wolf had told the Delurans about the Light Drive and its location. Now the Delurans were giving the Siruleon’s hell to get it for themselves. If the Delurans got the Light Drive, they would quickly mass produce it, and swiftly conquer the entire Siruleon Empire.

The Captain was not about to let that happen.

“Helmsman!” The Captain barked, “Activate the light drive and let’s jump out of here.” “I wouldn’t recommend it captain.” The helmsman said behind his station, “The light drive is still experimental, so there’s no telling what will happen. Also the navigation systems were hit during the first attack, so there’s no telling where will end up either!” “Oh I’m sorry.” The captain sarcastically said, “Maybe you would like to take your chances with the Delurans!” The Helmsman took one look at the monitor, and developed a bad twitch. “Booting up light drive now.” The helmsman announced, pressing random buttons. Another explosion was felt throughout the ship. “Hull integrity down to Forty Four percent.” The officer panicked, “Were not going to make it!” “Light Drive powered up! Jumping Now!” There was the sound of the ship accelerating, then a fantastic bright light.

Ooh! A science fiction novel, eh?

I like it. It would be great to see the rest of it, especially if you can get it on here or DA.

The second chapter is finshed. I will post in on da later.

Crisis played with a young neko in her mouth, savoring the taste of the poor thing. The neko had tried almost everything to escape her digestive fate. Now she was attempting to plead with Crisis, to no avail. Crisis was so engrossed in her flavor that she couldn’t hear her at all. Crisis enjoyment of her meal was interrupted, however, by an explosive noise that could be heard throughout Felarya. Crisis was so shocked by the noise that she swallowed the neko without even thinking! Eager to find out were the noise came from, she climbed the nearest tree she could find right to the top. When she arrived at the top, she scanned the canopy, looking for smoke, fire, anything that could lead her to the source of the explosion. Crisis was shocked to find, that there was no trace of anything wrong. The naga was puzzled, how could a huge explosion like that leave no trace at all? Just then a shadow passed over the pondering Naga. When she looked up into sky, she saw a large metal object floating far above her. Crisis watched it in awe. She had never seen anything like it. Crisis quickly rushed down from her tree, and hurried to tell Anna.

The Captain rubbed his head as he pulled himself up from the deck. His head felt like it had been bashed open with a sledgehammer, making it hard to assess what had just happened. Then it came back to him, they had activated the light drive to escape the Delurans battleships. “All stations,” The Captain struggled to say, “status report.” The remainder of the bridge crew, who were just getting up themselves, struggled to there feet to obey there commander. “H-hull integrity down to forty-one present sir.” One of the Officers struggled to say. “Light Drive has overheated. Its safeguards have caused it to shut down temporarily until it has cooled off.”
“Weapons System is disabled. From the looks of it, it will take around two hours to fix.”
“All decks have reported in. Looks like the casualties were kept to a minimum.”
“Systems Diagnostic complete. Looks like four systems are offline sir.”
“Read them to me” The Captain demanded.
“Yes sir!” the officer said looking back at the list, “Systems offline are, Long and short range sensors, targeting systems, and…” The officer read it again, puzzled, “and Artificial gravity?”
“Artificial Gravity?” Another officer exclaimed, “Why the hell are we not floating!” The Captain was puzzled as well. “Are the external cameras still functioning?”
“Let me check sir.” An officer said behind his station, “Yes sir, most of them are still online.” “Put one on screen.”
The cracked central screen sparked for a moment, frightening some of the officers near it. The screen then lit up, revealing a never ending forest underneath them. Everyone on the bridge was silent, trying to comprehend all that they saw. The Captain was stunned, for once in his life he had no idea what had just happened. First they were in the reaches of space, fighting battleships, next thing they knew they were floating around an unknown world, somewhere in the universe if even there own! The Captain regained his composure saying, “Is the air on the surface breathable?” “Well seeing that we haven’t suffocated from the air leaking from the holes in the ship, I think we can assume that we can breathe the air.” An officer rudely responded. The Captain didn’t even pause; he hit two buttons on the side of this seat, bringing up two men’s faces on the screen.
“Major Daniel, Lieutenant Lincoln mobilize your squads. Have your teams report to the medical unit, then get on to the Surface. Major Daniel, you are in charge of setting up base camp. Lieutenant Lincoln, your team will scout the area and find out about the wildlife.”
“Yes Sir!” Both men saluted.
“Good. Captain Sam over and out.”

Mack pulled his head up from the captain’s desk, his head hurting like hell. He tried to open his eyes, but a sharp pain in his left eye forced them shut again. Mack slowly opened his right eye and looked to his left, revealing one of the captains pens lodged deep in his left eye. “O for the love of…” Mack said to himself, reaching for the pen. With a deep breath, Mack yanked the pen violently out of his eye socket. Mack let out a small whimper of pain as he did this, but this was not the worse that had happened to him. What was really painful was how he was going to cover this up. Mack eye could regenerate, but that would take time. Much to Mack’s surprise, his vision in his left eye blurred, then slowly came back into focus. Mack was astonished; he had never healed this fast before, not even from minor wounds like scratches! “What the hell is going on?” Mack said to himself again. As he said this, a devise began to beep on his belt. He plucked the devise from his belt and held it up to his ear. “Attention, Alex Donivan, your team has been requested for a surface mission. Please report to the Medical unit to see if you’re ready for duty, and then proceed to the hanger to receive further instructions.” “Surface mission?” Mack thought, strolling over to window (which was surprisingly not broken) and looked out into to amazing landscape. “Where the hell are we?”

Please tell me what i can do better.

Doctor Mack in Felarya (Chapter 4 is up) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Doctor Mack in Felarya (Chapter 4 is up)   Doctor Mack in Felarya (Chapter 4 is up) Icon_minitimeFri Jan 25, 2008 3:45 pm

Sorry for the long whate people. But when you get hooked on WoW, its very hard to stop. Oh well Anna's in this one!

Mack walked down a hallway, rubbing his soar neck. The medical unit had checked his rebeather unit in his neck. God, he hated getting a tube getting stuck down his neck. What was worse was the shock to his neck to check its functionality. All and all, the whole process hurt like hell.

The rebeather is a standard devise for Siruleon equipment for survival missions. It allowed the user to breathe any substance, even toxic or liquid, and convert it into oxygen. It was a very handy devise when going on off world missions.

As Mack walked down the hall, he hurred the sound of metal clanging in the next room. He put his ear to the wall, and a sound of grunts filled his ears. He stuck his head threw the door, unnoticed, and saw a horrifying sight. One of the solders was on the ground, being kicked by two other, much taller and stronger solders. In a flash he saw there ranks. The one on the ground was a private third class, and his attackers were Privates second class. One of the two gave the solder another sharp kick to the gut, causing a painful grunt to come from the solder on the ground. Mack couldn’t watch any longer, he burst through the door, yelling, “What’s going on here!?” The assailants quickly should at attention, while the solder on the ground looked up at Mack.

“Sir, we kindly asked this private to get us our guns and he refused, sir!” One of the Solder said to him. “So you attacked him!?” Mack exclaimed, restraining himself from backhanding the man right then and there.
“Sir, no sir! He attacked us after we asked again.”
“Really… You don’t look injured.”
“Sir, he’s a bad fighter sir!”
Mack rubbed his eyes. There was no way he was buying this story. “Ok, look. Most of your superiors would tell you to stop and would let you off with a warning. I don’t role like that. Instead I’ll leave you with a threat. If I ever see you unnecessarily attacking a solder again, not only will I tell the higher ups, but I will also break your arms and legs, so you will never hurt another person again. Am I understood?”
“Y-Yes Sir!” The solders exclaimed, looking very scared.
“Now,” Mack opened a locker and tossed two guns at them, “Get the hell to the hanger!” The two Solders didn’t even salute; they just bolted down the hall and never looked back.

Mack extended his hand to help the solder up. “Jerks, you ok kid?” The private stood up, a bit hunched over from the soreness of his gut. “Yes sir, I should be fine.” “Good, what squad are you in kid?”
“L- Lieutenant Lincoln sir.”
Mack smiled, “Good same as me. Come on; walk with me to the hanger.”
The two walked together down the hall, the only sound coming from the sparking wires or the clanging of there boots against the deck. Mack felt the tension in the air. “Sooo… what’s your name kid.” He finally said, desperate to break the silence.

“Private Third Class Jason Bishop sir.”

“Hmmm. How long have you been in the service Jason?”

“About Seven years sir.”

“Seven Years! Without a Promotion?”

“No Sir.”

Mack wasn’t buying this kids story either. He had never met a solder in the Siruleon army or anywhere else that didn’t have at least one promotion after five years. As they continued to walk down the hallway to the hanger, Mack asked him more questions. By the time they got to the hanger, Mack was convinced that this kid was hiding something important.

“So Kid,” Mack said, knowing that it would probably going to be the last question he was going to ask, “What did you do before you enlisted?”

“Uhh.” Jason fumbled with his words, obviously not expecting such a question. “Umm, well you see, Ohlookthere’smyteamseeya!” Before Mack could stop him he bolted off into a small crowd, preventing Mack from getting him without starting a fuss. He sighed, but smiled, there would be time for there ‘chat’ later on the mission. Right now he needed to find the Lieutenant.

_________________________________________________________________

Anna was sleeping soundly under a tree, oblivious to the noisy arrival the Siruleons. She was having a great dream, chasing the ever allusive “Running Cigarette”. Most of the time, the Cigarette could easily out run her, But this time she had the advantage. Usually when Anna drempt, she was still human. But in this dream she was a Naga. That Cigarette had no chance with determined Naga at his heals. With a swift movement, Anna used her tail to whip the Cigarettes legs, causing him to fall flat on his “face”. Before he could get up, she quickly coiled herself around him, preventing his escape. “Now I have you Mr. Cigarette.” Anna Proudfuly declared, “And now I shall get what I deserve!”

Using her tail, she made a small spark to light the Cigarette. Anna took a deep breath in, savoring the sent of the Cig, a sent which she had long missed. The Cig struggled franticly to escape her grasp. Anna smiled at the sight, and tightened her coils, preventing his escape. She then lowered her face, ready to take the first puff. Before she could, a loud annoying voice rang around her.

“ANNA!” The voice shouted, shaking the world around Anna.

“Oh no.” Anna said, shocked at the sound, “Oh no no no no.” She recognized the sound quickly. It was the voice of her annoying friend Crisis.

“ANNNNA!” Crisis shouted again, disturbing the world yet again.

“NO!” She shouted, looking down at the Cigarette, “Iv worked too hard to get you Mr. Cigarette! I will get one Puff!” She quickly rushed downward and put her mouth around him.

“ANNAANNAANNAANNAANNA!” Crisis shouted yet again, causing Anna to shake violently. And in a flash, Anna woke up, very pissed off. With a voice louder than the noise that shook Felarya just an hour ago, Anna yelled at her friend. “WHATTTTTTTT!”

Crisis backed away from her friend, looking a bit frightened at her reaction. “Umm, Hi Anna.”

“Crisis…” Anna said in a deep voice, “Did you wake me up just to say hi.”

“Nope!” Crisis happily replied, “Why are you so mad? Were you having a good dream?”

Anna remembered her dream with a tear in her eye. “*sniff* I finally caught the Cigarette!”

“Oh that dream. Well I have something to show you Anna!”

“*sniff* What?”

“There’s a thing in the Sky!”

Anna looked a bit irritated. “That’s a cloud.”

“No, it was flying!”

“Then it’s a bird”

“Bigger than a Bird!”

“Than it’s a Harpy.”

“*grown* It was made of Metal and was like a ship!”

Anna’s ears peeked at that sentence. “A ship?”

“Ya! It’s floating above the forest.”

“You mean up those trees?”

“Yep!”

Anna groaned. It was going to be a long clime up those trees to see it. But if it was real, she would do anything to see it. “Ok” Anna finally said, “Let’s go see it.” She coiled tightly around a tree, and began her slow clime upwards.

Ok heres the next chapter. Im having some issues with it so could you please tell me what i can do better with it? Thank you.

______________________________________________

A guard named Dan looked up at the Moon, board as hell. He hated being on night watch, especially looking at the forest. Nothing had ever come out of the forest, alive that is, and anything that went in was dead by the moment they stepped foot in there. Plus, the bugs make so much noise in there that it was impossible to sleep there. Tired and board, Dan looked out at the edge of the forest, hoping that something would happen.

Mack and Patil saw the edge of a forest, after two hours of unnecessary walking. Patil shot Mack a nasty glare.

“Well were finally here, after two hours of walking around in a circle!” Mack looked back at Patil. “Hey, Don’t blame me! Blame that stupid Map that I found! It was made horribly!”

“No. You just don’t know how to read one.”

“Oh really?!”

“Ya, Really!”

As they continued to argue they walked toward the edge of the forest. The broke threw it, and began walking back to there house.

Dan saw brush begin to rustle at the edge of his vision. He quickly took out his spyglass and looked directly at it. Two figures burst out of the forest, looking very angry at each other. From what Dan saw, the darker figure was taller, holding onto a suitcase, and was wearing a (very hard to see) black coat. The other one Dan recognized immediately. It was the street urchin that he was sure he killed off two or three days ago.

Dan began to panic. That boy was still alive, the only person that know what he and his friends did. More over, he was talking to a doctor, a person of high standing in the kingdom. If both of them reported him to his superiors, he would get in a ton of trouble. There was only one thing he could do. He pulled out his Ax and hopped down from the post he was on. He would make sure that he killed them both, one and for all.

Mack and Patil continued to walk down the street, looking very irritated at each other. The argument had ended when Mack told him that he was right and if he disagreed, there would be no food tonight. Patil, not wanting to miss out on the great food that he made, shut up right then. As they walked down the street Patil got a good look at Mack’s coat. The gash that he had gotten from the Harpy was completely gone, no scar at all.

“Hey Mack,” Patil started, “What happened to that wound that the harpy gave you?”

Mack quickly looked down at his chest, shocked by the statement. Mack did not want to tell Patil about his abilitys just yet. In the past, people have abused his powers and trust and, although Mack was sure Patil was not like that, he did not want to take any chances.

“Umm, well you see…OH! I healed it while I was healing Solana!”

“Really! Then why don’t you have a scar on your chest?”

“Uhh. Well…Hey! Aren’t we close to the house?” Mack responded, quickly changing the subject.

“Oh ya! Come on it’s just down this alley.” Patil said, rushing down the alleyway.

“Alri-” Mack started to say. The only thing Patil could hear was a pained gurgal from behind him. He quickly turned, seeing the doctor with an Ax wound carved into the left side of his chest. His arm was hanging onto his body by a small hunk of flesh. He fell to the ground, much to the horror to of Patil, into a pool of his own blood.

Dan smiled as he saw the Doctor fall. He quickly removed his ax from the corpse, and turned to his next victim. He smiled; soon there would be no one to speak of that incident. “Hey kid, remember me?”

Patil stood in shock. The doctor, the only one that had helped him in his life, was dead on the ground. The man that had almost killed him, was his killer. Patil lost it. He rushed toward the guard in blind rage. With all his strength, he nailed a blow right in his jaw, sending the guard to the ground. Patil went for another blow, but stopped when the side of the ax hit his face.

Dan quickly got to his feet and slammed his foot into Patil’s chest, pinning him to a wall. “Well now peasant, you put up more of a fight then before.” Patil tried to respond, but the kick had rid him of most of the air in his lungs. Dan swiftly picked up the ax from off the ground. “It’s a pity though. In reality though, I’m still going to kill you.” Patil tried to struggle out of his hold, and was stopped by a smash in the face by Dan’s fist. Dan grabbed on to Patil’s hair and rouse his ax. “With you dead, no one can snitch on me!” Patil shut his eyes, and braced himself for the ax to cleave of his head.

Dan plucked the severed head off of Patil’s limp body. He moved his foot causing the body to fall to the ground and began to leak blood from its new wound. Dan took one look at Patil’s head and began to laugh hysterically. He was safe. No one could ever get him now. He was safe.

Dan was knocked out of his splender by a swift punch to the face. Before he could even hit the ground, he was grabbed by the neck and forced agenst the wall. “What! Who the hell…” The moonlight shown down onto the alleyway, revealing the face of the attacker. The Doctor looked up at Dan, looking very pissed off. “Y- You! I thought I killed you!” Mack quickly tossed Dan down the alley, then turned his attention to his limb. He grabbed his his torn ligament with his good arm and forced up agenst his body. “Come on, just a few nerves and tendons.” Mack muttered to himself, closing his eyes. His arm was motionless for a few moments, then suddenly twitched, then formed a fist. “Good, good.” Mack muttered, moving his arm in various directions to test its mobility. Dan just stood there in shock. “Wha- What the hell are you!?” Dan threw his Ax straight at Mack, hitting him straight in the chest. Mack didn’t even flinch. He quickly grabbed the ax and ripped it from his chest. Mack grabbed both blades on the ax, and quickly broke the blades off.

Mack began to walk toward Dan, ready to land another blow, but his foot hit a dense object. He quickly looked down and saw Patil’s severed head. The doctor quickly picked up his head and set it next to his body. He quickly turned to Dan, with a face that would have scarred a guardian.

“Did you do that to him?”

Dan could barely find the strength to speak at first, the soon the pride of his kill gave him unending confidence. “YA! Ya, I did that to him! It was easy, like a hot knife threw butter! The only part that I didn’t like was that he didn’t scream before I-” Mack quickly grabbed Dan by his armor and forced him against the wall again. Dan didn’t lose fath. “So are you going to kill me now? Ha! That wont bring back your friend. NOTHING WILL!”

Mack just looked at Dan for a moment before finally speaking. “Its true that killing you wont bring back Patil.” Dan smiled big, severing those words. “But, who said that I cant.” Dan’s smile quickly faded. “Wha- What are you saying?”

“Sorry, but I have to work fast, and having someone intervene is something I wish to avoid.” Mack’s hand begin to glow a bright light, crackling as it glew. “Although I really don’t want to use this, but it’s the only for sure way you will die.”

“What the hell are you!” Was the only thing Dan could say as Mack grabbed Dan’s armor, shocking him with thousands of Watts off energy. Dan soon fell to the ground, now nothing more than a Charred corpse.

Mack quickly turned to Patil’s remains. He cleared the area around him of as much trash as he could, then layed Patil’s body on his back, with his head on his neck as best as possible. Mack took a deep breath, and slit his wrist with a knife.

“Ok lets begin.”

Commander Davidson was completing the last of his rounds for the night. He didn’t have to patrol the Ruined district, he had guards stationed there. He just wanted to make sure that everyone was safe. He loved his kingdom (Although not necessarily its king), more then anything, and just had to make sure that it and its people were safe.

As he was about to report back to the castle to give his report, a green glow caught his eye. Looking over the edge of building, he saw a figure in an ally. The figure was too small to see, so he fished into his pocket and retrieved his spyglass. In it he saw an astonishing sight. The figure in the Ally was standing above a boy with his head cut off. His hands were emitting a bright green light, surrounding the boy. Suddenly, a liquid (Davidson was too far to tell its color) came from the mans wrists, and went right into the boys neck. Slowly, the wound closed, sealing the neck back onto its body. The mans hands then changed color again, now a bright light. The light flew toward the boy, hitting his heart. The man simply repeated this over and over, as if waiting for something to happen.

Davidson nearly fell off the building when he saw the boy suddenly cough. Foolishly, he dropped his spyglass catching himself. When he could get the eyeglass back up to his eye, the man was walking away, the boy in his arms. David quickly followed, wanting to know where the man was taking him. He could barly get a glimpse of him as he entered a house. David made a quick note, then rushed off to the castle. Finaly, a powerful Healing Mage was in the kingdom. The king would be very happy to hear this news.

Patil, layed in darkness, for sure that he was dead. He just lied there, waiting for the angel of death to come and get him. Suddenly a voice shot threw the darkness.

“Kid, its time to wake up.”

Patil recognized the voice. It was Mack’s.

“I can’t, I’m dead.”

“Your not dead. Don’t say such things.”

“But I AM dead. That guard chopped my head off. He killed you too.”

“But you have your head on. And I’m still alive”

“That’s because I’m a spirit. And you cant be alive. You were chopped almost in two.”

“No, its because your alive. And I am in one piece. Now WAKE UP!”

Patil shot upwards, back into reality. He instinctively felt his neck, and much to his shock, his head was on it.

“Finaly! I figured out the anti-venom! I knew that plant was the answer.”

Patil quickly looked over at the voice. Much to his shock, Mack sat right at his table, like he said, in one piece. Mack looked over his sholder, seeing Patil get up.

“Oh good your-“

“How…”

“Eh?”

“How am I still alive? How are you still in one piece?! Dr. Mack, What the hell are you!”

“I don’t suppose your going to buy ‘that was some crazy dream.’ Are you?”

Patil looked mad. He quickly grabbed Mack by his coller and pulled him down to his hight.

“NO! I want an answer NOW!”

Mack looked troubled, trying to find the answers to his questions. Before he could open his mouth to answer, a loud crash was heard as the door was kicked in. Three men in armor rushed into the room, there spears ready. One took off his helmet and points right at Mack.

“You. The king wants to see you. NOW.”
