Stumbling Skyward

"i don't care aobut the humans" Verira said between her weeping. "but all the blood ruined my cooked lunch"

Well, that's okay." she said. "I'm smaller and can pick some bits out of it. I'm sure there's at least two humans here - that's about the same amount of food. I'm sure we'll find something." She said, hugging the larger naga as best she could. The two girls hiding began to suspect they were the only things available for lunch and tried to be as quiet as they could be, despite Katie's shaking and Lise's squeaks of fear.

Verira suddenly stopped crying and got a serious look on her face. She reached down, grabed the wagon, that Lise and Katie was hiding under and tossed it into a nearby tree, smashing it to pieces with lots of noise. "This is all your fault human. If you had just kept quiet, this wouldn't have happened" She yelled agrily at Katie. She then placed a single finger finger onto Katies stomach and pressed it downwards. "I'm gonna keep this up until you BEG me to eat you, just so you can get away from the pain" She growled.

Katie screamed. "Let go of me you bitch! This is just the sort of thing you nagas do! Ahgh! Let me go!"

Lise jumped on Verira's hand, punching and biting it uselessly. "Let her go you jerk!" she screamed.

This continued for a while while Katie began to cry involuntarily from the pain. She tried everything, until finally screaming out.

"Fine, fine eat me, whatever, just stop, stop it!"

A psychotic smile formed on Verira face. "Now now, i told you to BEG, not agree with me" She said and increased the pressure a little bit more.

"Agh! Please, please eat me! Please! Just stop this! Please!"

"Damnit Katie! You wimp!" cursed Lise. She hurried back to the wagons, amid the wreckage. If she could just find some weapons that had been dropped - she could put a rocket in that naga's eye.

"Now your just asking nicely" Verira said. "I'll say it again...BEG" She pressed even harder, once again.

Meanwhile, a fairy with bright red hair and green eyes had been fluttering through the forest when she saw a giant naga apparently torturing a small human. The fairy grinned sadistically, seeing the perfect oppurtunity for a fight, since this was how she got her kicks. She changed her size, now predator-sized as a fire orb appeared in her hands.

She threw it at the naga, the orb of flame slamming into her back, the fairy's grin growing wider as she waited for Verira to turn around.

Verira just turned her head slightly and sent an impatient glare to the fairy. "I don't have time for you, fairy. Can't you see i'm busy punishing this human" She said with a bored voice and turned back to Katie, to give her more pressure.

"Yeah, I can see that...but does it reeeaaalllly look like I care?" the fairy said nonchalantly, now forming a larger fire orb and throwing it at the naga again, fixated on getting her angry.

Katie would have asked the fairy to help if the pressure had decreased, but it had only worsened. She had trouble breathing She'd rather be eaten by a naga than a fairy that went around throwing fireballs at people.

"Please, I'm begging you, I'm begging you to eat me just stop crushing me! Just not this, I'm begging you stop this and eat me!"

Lise saw the horror of the situation. She ran out, past Verira and too the fairy. "Please! She's going to crush her! Shoot more fireballs!" She didn't consider the very bad decision of running up to a full grown fairy.

Verira lifted her tail and hit it against the orb lightly, altering the course to fly right past her. "would you leave me alone already" She said without even looking at the fairy.

"Now THAT'S, what i wanted to hear" Verira said with a smile and picked Katie up, dangling her infront of her face.

Katie could barely move after that. She could only cry tears of frustration.

"See?" she said hoarsly. "This is all you nagas ever do...eat people!" She cringed at Verira's smile, which showed her tongue right down to her throat.

The fairy growled as Verira ignored her, obviously not amused that the naga was ignoring her. Seeing the other human ask for help, she thought for a moment, and said, "Hmmm....no. I will do THIS, though." She then grabbed the human and flew over and plucked the other human out of the naga's grip, saying, "Well, if you're gonna be such a killjoy, I'm gonna find someone else to fight. Bye!"

And with that, the fairy flew off, flying fast enough to let the naga chase her, but not too fast so that she' lose her, certain that snatching the naga's food would get Verira to chase her...then the real fun would begin.

Katie barfed slightly at the shock of being jolted upwards after such pain.

"Stupid...fairy..." she managed to mutter. Lise was less confident. "Please, no, put me down!" she said, panicking. "Please, I'll help you with anything, just let me go!"

The fairy completely ignored Katie's insults considering that she had nearly gotten crushed by a naga's finger, and turned her attention to Lise, responding to her begging with, "Hey, human, can you tell me what 'on' is backwards?"

"HEY, give back that stupid human" Verira yelled after the fairy. "She deserves to die" She picked up serena and slithered after the fairy as fast as she could. "That human is the cause of a massacre"

"No, please, it's not my fault, it's all her fault!" she said, pointing to Katie. "Her and the naga! Please, I don't want to die! Surely you can find someone else to eat? I think there were little people with the naga, you could eat them, just please let me go."

"Can it, you backstabbing bitch." spat Katie. She dealt with the situation as she knew how, biting and hitting the fairy to try and release her so she could try and make it to one of the trees.

The fairy grinned as Verira chased after her, but her interest grew when she said that the nearly smooshed human caused a massacre. "Oh? And how'd she do that? She set off some explosives or somethin'?" she asked, ignoring the humans and changing her position so that she was flying away while facing the slithering Verira.

"How did she do it, you ask? She insulted me, that's how" Verira yelled after the fairy.

The fairy stopped in mid-flight, fluttering in midair as she took in what the naga had said with a shocked look on her face. A grin then formed on her face, and she began to bust out laughing, pointing at Verira with the hand with Lise in it as she did so.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!! You mean to tell me that you let what a human said get on your nerves?! A human?! You're freaking pathetic!!" she said, continuing to laugh at Verira.

Verira got up to the fairy and stopped before her. "anyone would get angry after being called a dumb animal" She said and snorted.

The fairy landed on the ground in front of Verira, cocking her eyebrow in confusion as she said, "Really? They would? Hmm...would you give me a moment?" She then lifted Katie up to her face, saying, "Hey, human, could you call me a dumb animal? I wanna know if I'll get mad."

Verira sighed. "you know, there is a difference between them calling you that by their own free will and you telling them to call you that" She said kinda sorry for the fairy.

"You are a dumb animal!" shouted Katie, biting down harder on the fairy's hand.

"Stop it!" said Lise. "You'll just make her mad!"

"Shut up, snackfood!" retorted Katie, pounding on the fairy's hand.
