More crappy ideas!

Well it's a nice idea I think ^^
the race is interesting but it's a bit hard to get an idea about them. What do they like for example ? you also mentioned they were developped so are they artificial beings ?

Also I think it's not very realistic to have such a huge and advanced city there.. It just creates too much change ( why no stories until now mentionned it ? )
The garden of carnivorous plants made me chucckle though, as I imagined gardeners trying to make them grow, instead of trying to get rid of them :p

There, I fixed it up as best I could. I'm not exactly the greatest at describing things. I'll be writing a story about it when I finish the current one. If anyone feels they can give better descriptions feel free to voice them.

Perhaps you should move the location of the city to somewhere just off the map, such as the Southern edge of the Mist Ocean.

As for the anti magic crystal, perhaps making it weaker or greatly decreasing its range will increase its "realisticness".
