Mice people/ Neera's

They are a common speices in Felarya. Mice people or Neera's as they're more commonly called are one of the main food sorces of nekos and other smaller predators.

Neera's are usually between 2-3 inchs tall though larger speices exist. They usually have hair in more earth human colors (browns, golds, reds, and blacks) they also usually have some fur in other places too. As there name says they have mouse like features too, large rounded furry ears along with a hairless mouse tail and there hands are often paw like but still with thumbs.
They're a very intelligent race just as much so as Nekos and Humans though because of there small size Nekos eat them and humans usually don't even see them. In Negav some have manged to become part of the community though this is fairly rare. Most Neeras live in small villages throughout Felarya which are nearly impossibly to find and impossible to see.
In Chidoki forest some of the Neera there have taken to taming murises who they already get along with very well, the Neera's feed the Murises and the Murises help carry and protect the Neera's.

You want Nekos to have a prey now?

Nekos do have a prey, they just haven't been defined yet. A smaller sentient race fits the bill fine, particularly mice people.
And it's pretty easy to imagine humans not noticing or caring about any races that small. They're too busy looking up for predators!

I think there is clearly room for such a race

I like this idea. A community of tinies would be a lot of fun to write about! There could be many tiny races living in the hidden corners of Felarya unseen or ignored by the giant predators around them. All those nekos, snakes, lizards etc have to eat something after all and it would make for some good vore too!

In fact-this gives me an idea for a story!

I like the idea. Finally, I can incorporate one of my characters, Amber (Named after my late Guinea Pig), into ideas for stories!

It would also be worth noting that Neera's would be everywhere you looked, once you started looking. Small, prey species generally reproduce super-fast, trying to make up for the fact that they get eaten or killed quickly by producing lots of babies. I'd imagine the situation is only exagerated in Felarya.

I have such a soft spot for mice-people, anyway. I definately want moar! ^^
