Friday Movie Nights?

It was an Idea I had a while back where someone (Most likely me) would host a live stream and we all would watch a movie voted by us from 3 or more different movies that I own or could get. As well I was thinking you could have our Ocs watch the movie and have them discuss and react to the movie. Just an Idea floating around in my head. So if you think it's a good idea lemme know.

It seems like a cool idea, having our characters watch movies from our reality and talking about them. :3 Sadly, my time constraints online don't permit me to take part in such an interesting endeavour. :33

I'd be glad to suggest a few movies, although at least for the near future I won't be able to do much other than text-based comments in or out of character. After my new computer comes I might be able to participate in art screencasts, though there's no guarantees it'd be any fun to watch me.
I suggest we either use the chatbox or (probably a better idea) the IRC or a special chat channel for these. Depending on the livestreaming service, there might be a chat there, but if not... we should consider that. Because not everyone has a microphone / wants to talk in-character in their own voice / wants to discuss Felarya out loud where other people can listen in.

I would really enjoy doing something like that with everyone.  And keeping in character really would be awesome.

I'm working on it as we speak by next week hopefully it will be set up.

So guys I've been trying since I posted this topic to get my livestream to work but it keeps giving me the same error message saying.

Producer does not support HD mode for an SD camera. PLease change your DV camera to SD

And well I don't have a clue how to do that. I have a Alienware Mx14. With an integrated webcam. If anyone could help me or give another livestream service that would be great.

I looked into it - it does, but it's based off Google Plus Hangouts, and AFAIK everyone needs a Plus account to watch.

If you broadcast a "public" stream, anyone with the link can watch and chat about it, which seems perfect for our purposes. I didn't scrutinize the resolution (I recommend at least 480 vertically if we're streaming movies) or anything else, but I think it's worth a look.

Man your a life saver. I'll try it and maybe this friday will be the first movie day!
