Spine Mountain

Spine mountain is a small series of incredibly tall round-tipped mountains that are located in the middle of the Sea, far off the southern coast of Chioita. What makes this Island remarkable is the lack of any ground cover around it at all - its just several connecting in a line.

The region is also home to an unusually rich concentration of minerals, magic, life, and other resources even by Felaryan standards. Mermaid lore suggests that it is the corpse of a huge creature, and some clans of mermaids even suggest that it is the corporeal remnants of one of their deities - belonging to the "Mother Leviathan". Many mermaid groups hold it sacred and protect it fiercely. Multiple underwater shrines have been built by mermaids around here.

Indeed nobody from Chioita, Kelerm, or the more technologically advanced groups on Felarya have been able to get close. The mountains also contain large caves and caverns, some of which go deep into Felarya.
