| I just finished reading the pages which are put up so far, and I have to admit, I'm impressed! Not just the whole story has a sort of "Felarya - The Cartoon" feeling with all the expressions, references and other antics (And in my opinion, it fits nicely), but the storytelling is also enjoyable. Yes, it's fun to read! Anyway... it's only my opinion, or does Dodge's appearance and style (and the ways how he avoids the dangers) are kinda familiar to Dirk the Daring from the Dragon's Lair game? Is it intentional, or it's just a common style for "cartoon knights"? Anyway... keep up the good work! | |

Actually you are right on the mark. I designed Dodge Dareum to be a parody on Dirk the Daring. But the more I played around with the concept the more I felt like I was making a different character all of my own. Dodge and Dirk do have some similarities. But the only difference between the two, as you may have seen in the comics, is that Dodge's luck is WAY worse then Dirk's. But that's what makes it funny. You never know what is going to happen to that poor knight whenever he steps out of the door. Also Don Bluth is one of my favorite animation heroes. His films just have a different and unique sort of charm to them. He's someone I look up to. In a way Dodge Dareum pays homage to his Dirk the Daring character. Its just I wanted a bungling and funny knight of my own.  There you have it. | |
