This.
THIS IS MY WEAPON.
It has a spring-loaded projectile with a wide surface area and a seven foot cord to quickly reload. It is superior to weakling butterfly net. Some say that fairies can outgrow me. Maybe.. Maybe. I have yet to meet fairy that can outgrow surprise impact. I love you. But yeah, I think the idea of an experienced, scary fairy hunter is awesome. I've always had a vague idea for a creepy Australian hunter stereotype who catches and sells sentient creatures, because I like nasty pieces of work. I must have not gotten enough hugs as a child or something.

| That'd be cool. My own theory used in my stories is that fairy wings can retain all their magic after being lopped off the fairy, or it can at least be re-accessed - so they are veeery valuable, thus leading to the lucrative start of fairy hunting.
Or I could just be crazy...
Still, I really like the idea of a fairy hunter that knows what he's doing, instead of the usual - "Money for fairy wings? You mean those cute little fluttery girls. Sure! Aw, I'll almost feel bad hurting the cute little gals..."

| And in the grim dark depths of my mind, I see fairies as being useful resources for tons of reasons! Firstly, they make a fine stew, yum. Second, the fairies' wings can be used as small one use sources of magic. Third, the fairies themselves can be ground down into 'Fairy Dust' a powerful drug. Fourth, the fairies can be imprisoned and used to generate power for technology. Fifth, they make wonderful pets for the kids, batteries not included.
The list goes on and on. The demand for fairies is really high I would say. Just really hard to get.

Really? Because he makes me laugh and wish good luck to the Fairy Hunters. Though we detract from the point of this topic. We are looking for resources, fauna, flora, etc. FLORA Dieinox Berries These somewhat rare berries grow only in the Evernight Forest, growing in two varieties (Or, more accurately, sizes). The first variety can grow as large as a blueberry, tends to resemble a small purplish bead, and grows only at ground level. The second variety grows much higher - several dozen to even a couple hundred feet into the canopy - and resemble purplish watermelon with blue stripes. Each of these berries grows on a vine-like plant that tends to wrap around larger plants, those bearing the bigger fruit thicker than those close to the ground. The interesting attribute of these berries is that they have differing effects on their consumer depending on what time of day they were picked. During daylight hours, these berries are a decent source of nutrients: A handful (regardless of your size, though what qualifies as a 'handful' obviously does vary) of these berries may give you the energy to go another day on their own, and when eaten alongside other foods may temporarily increase your awareness & stamina. At night, these plants will make you extremely sluggish: Your consciousness dims, and you find it very difficult to stay awake even with a full stomach. If taken alone at night, these can work quite wonderfully to knock someone cold for a prolonged (3+ hours) period of time. While this could be seen as advantageous in other parts of Felarya, this is potentially life-threatening in Evernight Forest: Without any mean to tell the time of day, a careless traveller risks falling asleep in the dangerous forests, and a half-full predator their skills dulled to be inefficient hunters. Those capable of flight could check manually by flying through the canopy, but this has its own risks: It announces where you are to onlooking Predators / Hunters, and any Dieinox berries exposed to direct sun- or moonlight for even the briefest moment instantly shrivel into dried raisins.

he makes me laugh Thank you! Glowing reviews all round! I'll be here all week! Very nice flora Mal, though I wouldn't call it a resource. I'd say that's a wiki worthy flora if I ever saw one. And trust me, I've seen plenty. ^^
