Here are most of my main characters. Some of them don't easily fit into a single threat category. Smile

Marsha (giant slug-girl): Medium prior to meeting Nicholas. Currently Low due to a hasty promise she made to the human. Marsha likes to talk, especially to those who do not see her as some sort of monster. She does not consider herself very attractive, due to her plain brown slug-portion. She is quiet envious of other slug-girls who have more colorful slug bodies. The easiest way to get off her menu is to simply speak, or get her to speak. Once the chat begins and introductions are made, you are mostly safe. Flattery works, as long as it is sincere, but is not required. She prefers to hear about things outside the marsh she calls home. The issue, however, before she met Nicholas, was that she rarely gave people the chance to utter more than a scream or two before slurping them down. Screaming prey often attracts other predators, which is not a good thing for a slow-moving slug-girl. Because of her promise to Nicholas, she no longer eats humans. She also no longer eats nekos, since becoming "queen" of a tribe of them. Nagas are by far her favorite meal. She will go out of her way to track them down and eat them whenever possible. One characteristic that her human friend, Nicholas, commented on early on in their relationship was the fact that Marsha has no sleep cycle; she never needs to sleep.

Normeda & Maasma (giant slug-girls): Almost always encountered together, these two might make it up to Moderate on a good day. The problem is, while Normeda loves slurping humans down, Maasma equally loves talking to them. If you can pique Maasma's interest (and this does not take much), your odds of surviving the duo are quite high. Maasma has become adept at "distracting" her mate away from potential prey, even to the point of slurping them right out of Normeda's mouth, if necessary. Because of their status with Marsha, they too would currently be classified as Low. Neither of them eats humans or nekos, for the same reasons as Marsha.

Nicholas (human): Moderate due to his training and equipment. Nicholas maintains a strong sense of duty and honor, despite no longer being on his native world. He does not shy away from danger, which causes Marsha no end of worry. He is not violent by nature, but will not hesitate to return violence in kind if attacked or threatened. He has learned very quickly of the dangers of Felarya. Of course, it also helps that he is being taught the ways of world by a trio of giant slug-girls and a whole tribe of marsh nekos.

Felecia (human-sized slug-girl): Off Scale High towards domesticated melons and other non-feral fruits, vegetables, and fungi. If you are one of these, you are doomed. Otherwise, she's at the bottom end of Very Low. Felecia is a kind-hearted soul who wishes harm upon no one. She won't even eat non-sentient animals or insects, subsisting entirely on plants and fungi she grows in her homestead. Her slime makes for an extremely deadly weapon, but even if attacked, she would only use it to paralyze, never to kill.

David (human): Very Low, the same as his wife, Felecia. David does not believe in violence. He would much rather be about his way, working with Felecia, or studying the plants and wildlife in and around the Howling Forest. He does carry a specially built needle gun that utilizes a concentrated version of Felecia's slime. He can count on his hand the number of times the weapon has been necessary.

Stephandra (dryad): Very High (and possibly even higher) due to her connection with the Howling Forest and her immense age. Her size is deceptive, for while she appears as a massive, gnarly, oak tree, her true form is much, much larger. Very few beings that are still alive have ever seen this form. Situated in a grove of equally massive trees, she uses long, sinuous vines that descend from her canopy above to manipulate objects and creatures below. The packs of howler wolves that roam through the forest are sometimes used as an extension of her will. David has made the comment that the mind of the dryad can be seen through the eyes of her wolves. Even those who know they are safe around her feel uncomfortable in her presence. The only exception to this is Felecia; the two are linked by an unusually strong dryad bond. Very few things will provoke her to act with more than a smidgen of her power. She prefers to let nature take its course, using only the gentlest of nudges to shift things to her liking. When moved by hunger, Stephandra has been known to eat two full-grown mumansi with little difficulty. Unlike most dryads, she has no preference as to what she eats and no one species is any safer around her than the others.

Verdoya tribe (aka Felecia's tomthumbs): Very Low for the most part, though Felecia sometimes considers them an Extreme threat to her sanity. Led by Quincy, when they are not sleeping, eating, or playing (which is most of the time), Felecia's tomthumbs practice all manner of tactics in the homestead to ensure they will be ready to defend it, should the need arise. There are weapon stashes in strategic locations throughout the area that can be accessed by the tomthumbs. Special containers are used to preserve and concentrate Felecia's slime, which is then coated on these weapons for deadly effect. Lately, Quincy and David have been attempting to milk venom from Serimela, to see if it can also be used. The dridder has been reluctant, but David insists it is good for her to exercise her poison glands, while Quincy is fawning over the prospect of adding another weapon to the tomthumb arsenal. If a human or group of humans were to somehow make it into the homestead with the intention of doing harm, the tomthumb threat level would escalate to Moderate or even higher. After all, nobody expects the dreaded Quincy maneuver (rush in and throw everything you have at your foe, while Quincy remains in the rear ... supervising).

Serimela (miniature dridder): Very Low due both to her size and gentle nature. Serimela was never a great hunter, being too afraid to step foot out of her birthing den in the earliest stages of her life. Now that she is in the Vorchek homestead, she has received extensive "combat" training with Quincy and the rest of the tomthumbs. She looks up to Felecia, trying to emulate the slug-girl in many ways. Because of this, she too will only eat the plants and fungi grown in the homestead. If her friends were ever truly threatened, she might possibly jump to a higher threat level. Thus far, that has not happened. She is innately stealthy by nature (she can sometimes sneak up on Satasha). Her venom is deadly, even to human-size targets, and she has become extremely accurate with her web-shooting skill.

Satasha (neko): Moderate if she decides you need to be dealt with, for whatever reason. Satasha has finely tuned senses, even for a neko huntress, and is peak physical condition. She will generally be encountered with a pack of howler wolves. She prefers tracking and observation to direct confrontation when dealing with interlopers. She can and does render aid to those in need she comes across. She has an intense distrust of strangers, especially towards non-nekos. She also has a very close tomthumb friend named Frisca. If Frisca happens to be with her, she is a great deal more sociable and more apt to help strangers.

Galya (giant fire naga): High if she decides to attack and/or eat you. Otherwise, she's Low to Moderate depending on her mood and whims at the time. She does not eat nekos, they make her physically sick, not to mention she has "adopted" a tribe of them. She may like to claim otherwise, but she is not particularly voracious. Nevertheless, she finds humans quite tasty and will sometimes hunt and eat them, even when she is not hungry. She is able to gain sustenance from absorbing heat via her scales, which she does most of the time. Her home is a searing-hot lava cave at the base of Black Mountain. She is fascinated by magic, so even a hint of magic-use will stay her hand (assuming you were about to be a meal in the first place).

Rosalak (neko): Very High. As one of the elder shaman of the Black Mountain tribe, Rosalak has dealt with many predators, giant and small. Now that Galya has established the area as her territory, these confrontations have dropped off considerably. He never aims to kill with his magics, powerful though they may be, seeing death in such cases as sad and wasteful. However, if he feels his tribe is threatened, the gloves come off. Galya has seen this happen once, but will not speak of it; suffice it to say she has a great deal of respect for the shaman's level of mastery. Galya was Rosalak's apprentice in training for many years, which is one reason she has become so masterful with her own fire magic in spite of her youth.

Xulia (giant orchid mantoid): Very Low so far. She may be huge, strong, and pink, but so far, she has resisted the urge to gulp down any humans. Of course, she has also only had the opportunity to do so with those she considers her parents. What will happen when she meets total strangers, or worse yet, those who mean her harm, remains to be seem.
