I'm going to be creating a tournament featuring MANY of the characters here in Felarya.

There will be two tournaments.

One for Preds. And the other for any human/etc. sized characters.

If you wish to sign up a character. Please let me know. Would love to start working on it soon, but I need participants.

Will need the name of character and a link to their bio. And anything else you would like to add about them to make the fight that much more entertaining.

much like all tournements. gonna be a fighting one. gonna get as many preds and human sized characters together and im gonna have them go through a series of stages against one another. mainly just for the thrill of writing battles. make sense?

So it's a tournament arc in written form?

Sounds awesome. I'm in- just let me select one from my 30 + list of "special" characters...

Cool idea. But naturally I hope you plan to lay down a few ground rules governing what can and cannot be done. Wouldn't exactly be fair if a guardian was participating for example. I might be reading too much into it, but I say the more thoroughly defined each possibility is the more fair the results will be. I for one suggest making a point of knowing all the characters' attributes in advance so we can know in advance who would actually win.

For example I might say a character's attributes might be something to the effect of:

Upper Body Strength: *
Lower Body Strength: ***
Stamina: *
Durability: *
Dexterity: ***
Exertion: ****
Awareness: **
Magic Affinity: *
Technological Affinity: **

Skills: quiet movement, climbing, ranged weaponry handling.

From this you can get a very clear idea what is and isn't possible. If in the duel a character with stats like these does something like "Punch the heads of 10 different enemies clear off their shoulders" we could call BS, immediately knowing that just wouldn't happen, not with such low upper body muscle and stamina, and no special skill that says otherwise either.

(They counteract each other)

I fear that due to the phenomenon of alternate character interpretation, the final result of this idea will be nothing short of way off base to put it lightly. For another thing, I find it would be difficult for a wide cast of characters to have any motivation to come together en' mass at all, let alone actually have a straight up rumble. '

Besides for that, because everyone bears differing preferences when it comes to characters, this is certain to lead to some sort of backlash due to a dissatisfied somebody. Quite frankly, there is no way to do this without really upsetting someone out there.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, except that there will only be a backlash if people start involving canon characters with out permission etc.
