The Hunter and the Hunted

Lula, still focusing on the giant tree thing coming towards her, was caught off guard by the elbow to the jaw and took a couple steps to the side before tripping over herself and falling to the ground. The Treant did not want to waste any time. It took hold of one of the Dridder's legs and began pulling her away from the clearing, towards the river.

Despite what the dridder had done she didn't want to see her hurt, putting Oma on a branch, she rushed over to help the dridder pulling her away from the treant "stop it you've made a point now she's going to go and leave us alone" she snaps Jen realised then that she'd left Oma alone but wanted to focus on the matter at hand, she pulled the dridder Lula free of the treants grip "go on get out of here" she mutters to the dridder, Oma watching from the branch, jens attention now focused upon the treant and not her friend or the now free dridder.

The Treant was confused to say the least. It was not given any orders for an occurrence like this, and was lost. It turned to look at Poe, the person that had given it the orders to get rid of the Dridder, for what it should do now. Poe turned to Aster for any opinions. Part of Aster wanted to tell the Treant to keep fighting the Dridder because of being thrown by her, but another part of him wanted to be nice to her, because she is a woman, and a hungry one at that. He couldn't decide, so he shrugged. Poe figured he might as well do the right thing and call off the Treant. He waved it over to him, and it lumbered over, kneeling down so it could better hear it's master. "Go blend in with the rest of the trees," Poe said to the large tree. "I don't know, just leave that Dridder alone. For now. You never know when someone like her might crave someone like me again." The Treant still looked at Poe with a confused look on it's face. "Go deep into the forest and protect any passersby!" The Treant understood and stood up, walking deep into the forest only to blend in with the rest of the trees and probably be forgotten.
While this happened, Lula got back up. "This is more trouble than I'd like," she said, turning and walking away. "I'll go get some food elsewhere."

Jen nodded "ok suit yourself go on now but be carefull you could get hurt out there" she says a soft smile on her face before she turned her back upon the dridder staring out across the lake. Oma smiled watching the dridder coming twards the are where she now sat, she smiled watching the dridder with much interest grinning "good luck no hard feelings miss" she says a pleasent smile on her face as she watched Lula, she noticed that Jen wasn't paying atention at this moment in time and everyone else seemed preoccupied. Oma sighed watching Lula with interest kicking her legs back and forth "maybe if we meet again you can show me your home that would be nice I'll bring food."

Lula stopped for a moment when she heard the word 'food'. She was very tempted to turn around and ask the little elf if she really wanted to come, but considering the trouble the little elf helped cause she decided against it. She kept walking away, not wanting to talk to any of the other people as she left. When she was well away, Poe and Aster reentered the clearing. "So, uh..." Poe began. "Any idea where the nearest form of civilization is?" Aster shook his head.
"Do you ever think of anything other than books?" Aster said. "It's not like a book is going... too..." He stopped talking when he remembered it was a book that helped save them. Poe just nodded at him.
"Yeah, I thought so."
"Well, we can at least stay here and ask these elves if they need anything."
"Fine. Go ahead and ask."
Aster gave Poe a nasty look before turning his attention to the elves. "Can we repay you in some way for saving us?" he asked in a tone that should be loud enough for the elves to hear.

Oma watched Lula leave, she smiled softly not paying attention to what the others were doing, she sighed turning her back on the dridder shaking her head. Jen smiled shaking her head slightly a pleasent grin upon her face "No your welcome though and the nearest human settlement is just west of here"

(aww was kind of hoping Oma'd be taken when no one was looking, ah well)

"Alright, let's leave before another predator comes this way!" Poe said, walking east before Aster grabbed his shoulder.
"Thank you very much for the help," Aster said to the elves while turning Poe to face the right direction. "We'll leave you two to what you were doing before we interrupted you." Aster and Poe began walking west. Poe couldn't wait to get those books, and Aster couldn't wait to relax and recover from the fight.

Jen smirked nodding happily a pleasent smile upon her face, she moved over picking up Oma before they ent walking into the jungle, seemingly in the same direction as the dridder.
