Kensha Beast Size

This just popped up in the chat, but for the size of Kensha Beasts, around 20 feet, is it their height from foot to shoulder at their tallest, or is it their length from tail to nose?

well wolves often keep their head down when walking or whatever, but I always thought it was about 25 ft, and from head to paw.

It's 20ft to the shoulder.

Kenshas are about as big as a medium-sized dog to an average sized hybrid pred. Their numbers and poisoned claws are the biggest threat. A Kensha may not be able to take down a naga one-on-one, but a pack of them, getting a few bites and claw swipes in here and there, will slowly wear it down with their poison.

I had this discussion with /Fish/ a long time ago when he was still around, he said pretty much the same thing as rcs619.
It should be made clear on the wiki that the height measurement is paw to shoulder.

yeah. although it's weird in my opinion. why measure only up to the shoulder when there's a whole head above that?

Not really above. They're not holding their head high all the time. On humans the height of the head relative to the body is pretty static, but in dogs, wolves, horses and other animals it's not.

I know, but often the max height of someone counts. Like a human that is naturally 6'0" but slouches and usually ends up standing at 5'10".

Like I said, that's humans.
Dogs (and therefore wolves) as well as other animals are measured differently.
Kensha beasts are similar to wolves so their height is measured at the shoulder.

I know, I'm just speaking relatively, since their head is not always below their shoulders.

Necroing this thread, sort of, but for the spine beetles, is the height of 10 ft again from their feet to their head when on all six, or would it be if they somehow stood on hind legs?

this is for kensha beast size, not for spine beetles. or is that the sort of that you were talking about?

It's kinda on the same vibe such as, is it length or is it height from paw to shoulder?

well we're measuring kensha's lengthwise right? why wouldn't the beetles be measure the same?
