What is your favorite curseword? (In your native language)

Mine is, of course, the F-Bomb; the F-Word; in other words, Fuck. It is such a useful word.

Danm is my must used (more often then not when playing pokemon)

Too many to choose from Bloody is mine was considered a swear word for a while

My fav is definitely "bastard!", usually preceded by "You..." or "You're a pack of..."(plural).

Probably bastard. As in, "Aren't I a cheeky bastard?"

Most are religious blasphemies in Quebec. But I would have to go with the French "Putain", "Merde", et "Bordel."

Fuck being an acronym is almost certainly a myth. (As an acronym it can be said to be many things like "Fornicated Under Consent of King", "Felonious Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" etc. etc.)

Fuck has, as far back as we know, retained its current meaning as a vulgar reference to copulation.

Way to miss the point. I recommend watching the documentary movie at some point to catch the humor. Its self-titled, so it shouldn't be difficult to find. The first known reference was in code, most probably to avoid the anger of those it was pointed at. The actual use of the word at the time is unknown.




On topic, the other term I use the most is goddammit, which is interesting considering I'm agnostic. Not really sure where/when I started using it. I don't use fuck that often, and I know bloody hell came from spending too much time around Brits.

Oh those Brits must have been kind seeing as bloody is used in everyday conversation it's not considered a swear word any more.

The amount of swearing I do in regular talk would be enough to get a fine but hey it's all good. I'll add "tosser" in aswell as "prick"

In Bleach: Shattered Blade for the Wii, there's a trick you can do with that phrase. Pit Mayuri Kurotsuchi against Grimmjow and have Mayuri hit Grimmjow with his downward strong attack. Mayuri will yell, "You bastard!" which will be followed by Grimmjow replying, "You bastard!" when he falls down. OIt's so much fun to do that over and over again! <3

My favorite will have to be xsiol (damn it in Draconic), only because nowhere I look has translated fuck yet. I also like riika (bitch), even though I'm sure they translated it thinking of female dog instead of the usual description of another person.

I'm really not much of a curse using person. Sometimes I like to say damn now and again, but that's it. I don't really like cursing, but damn can be funny at times. It has a quality dang and darn don't possess.

My people often love playing with words, even in curse words, like:

"Con đường cách mạng còn lắm gian truân" = "There are still many hardships on the road of revolution"

Sound pretty normal, right? But if you take the first letter of those Vietnamese words, you will have "cdcm clgt", a short form of the phrase: "Mother f*cker, what the f*ck is this sh*t?"

There is more, such as: "Vì công lý" = "For Justice" => "vcl" = "wet down there"...

Of course, it's not like I love cursing people, but those are funny to read on a forum (not to hear in real life as those curse words are extremely disturbing to Vietnamese). Sorry if it offend someone here ^^

Btw, "Sun of the beach" sounds fun too XD
