| Hey, I realise I haven't commented on anything in a while, but I've been busy. I came back and started reading the orphaned nekos thread (which, BTW, would probably survive on sheer cuteness, the lil' ragamuffins) where a neko version of Batman is mentioned. Now, I don't really like the idea of catman, but I do like the idea of some kind of costumed vigilante (only one though, not a league, but maybe with a sidekick) going around, fighting crime in Negav. No super powers (beyond the ones already in Fearya, i.e. magic n' stuff), though, so more like Batman than Superman.
I realise this idea probably has the same chance of becoming canon as the Republicans have of getting rid of Obama now that he has killed Osama, but I still think it would be funny to hear everybody's suggestions for themes and backstories.

| Oh, BTW, keep it in Negav. Prowling the dark, cramped city streets, keeping Negav safe sounds okay, but let's not have him (or her) heading out into the jungle and besting preds with their bare hands (cough, Mary Sue, cough). I realise I'm probably not the best example of a writer to say this, but still.
Also, above all, make them silly!

| Heh, well I was planning for my newest character to do a bit of "Vigilante" work on the side... ...But that's because she's a Dusk Nymph, her two human contacts ARE nerds, and they needed some way to keep her fed between Assassination jobs. - FalconJudge wrote:

Well I once had an idea for the Nitro Negav Neeras Rangers...

| @ Fj XD. Sounds great. By day, they are ordinary mild-mannered mouse peoples, but at night, they become... NEAT!!! | |

| Well, this IS Felarya. It might be funny/cute for there to be a Neera defense force, but pushing it too far would make it unsuited for the setting. | |

| Awesome! ^.^ It's nice to see someone else drumming up the silly around here! They'll need costumes. Capes, anyone, or would that be too flashy? How about the leader has a cape? Ooh, what kind of tiny gadgets could we give them? | |

They'd have Longcoats! HEY! >:[ DON'T underestimate the power of a cape. There's a reason they've been around longer than 80 years.

Bah! A cape in Felarya is just giving your predator something to wipe their mouth with!A long-coat is actually functional.

| Actually, they need the almighty cloak. And a mini-rocket launcher. | |

| ... Maybe 4 could have longcoats and the leader could have a detachable cape (detachable for escape purposes)?
Anyone think they should be arranged by color? The leader being red?

| I don't know... a cape sounds sillier than a longcoat, but I really like the detachable capes idea. It can be a new innovation developed from years of experience! And they could each have their own colourful little costume!
I think rocket launchers might be going a little overboard though. Try to think more small-scale. One of these guys shouldn't be able to take on mulitple nekos by themselves, maybe just subdue one if they all work together. Grappling guns sound good to me.
Ooh! Idea! What if they were mostly neeras, and had a token tom thumb to avoid being called racist?

| Well I would think that wearing a longcoat that gives you fire protection with a flaming cape would be the best because of the style . | |
