| [Well most of you should know the drill, just leave a bio or a link to your bio and make your first post, have fun ^^ Oh, and no eating/killing people without my saying please.]
In the streets of Negav, fliers are being handed out to many strong and capable adventurers, travelers, mercenaries, and especially military men. You receive one of these fliers, a job offering as a hired gun to protect one of Negav's largest trading companies, The Centari Caravan. Their cargo is nothing too special, it usually holds spices, trinkets, and cloths of various kinds. Their worry isn't much of bandits seeing as they travel in heavily armed and technologically advanced space aircrafts, but their main concerns is that their technology alone would not withstand the possible confrontation of predators. They'll pay anyone who will help them get their way across Felarya to trading outposts, as long as they are able to make it out in one piece. Your particular offer was made by Admiral Shays of the S.S. Alpha Centari, who stood by the enormous spacecraft for your arrival. Next to him was the Magic Bureaucrat, Alister Smiley, a man who's been to many places in Felarya. He was now the Admiral's hired bodyguard seeing as how the young Admiral preferred the protection of magical users more than anyone else.
[Oh btw, if you have any plot suggestions, feel free to talk to me about it in the chatbox, or leave me PM and we can discuss it]

| I'm not a fan of having my character be in two places at once and don't feel like making another one, so if your caravan happens to run into Ella's Adventure Troop at some point I'd be interested in joining. | |

| (Nyuuu, as much as I would LOVE to join, especially seeing you back, Beefy, <3, I'm afraid Falcon had a good point when he told me that I'm already involved in enough RPs. Quality over Quantity. And besides that, I have a similar problem to Paramecium; the two characters I think would be best suited for this RP are already doing other ones at the moment.) | |

| Well, I've only got two of mine around here. I'll join, if this guy's okay. - Spoiler:
Name: Maalt Gender: Male Hair: White Skin: White (not "fair", actually chalk-white) Eyes: Pink Age: 18 Height: 5'10"
History: Maalt has a very specific namesake: his name is based off of the Dutch word for "meal". He was born in Kortiki town. His mother was a cowardly person, and named him what she did in preparation for her journey to Negav, a place that she always wanted to go. When he was born, she disliked his coloration, and decided to use him for a practical purpose. He was three at the time she left, and she brought him along solely as a bargaining chip. As she went, she was caught by a Fairy, who she managed to sway by giving her the child, instead (Of course, she was eaten by a ghost before she was out of sight).
The fairy decided that the little thing was too small to eat, despite how delicious he looked, with his creamy white skin and fluffy hair. So, she chose to raise him to be a little bigger before she ate him. Not surprisingly, she ended up becoming attached, and became a mother figure to him. Eventually, by the time he was 7, he was essentially a member of the pack, accepted by his new family as one of their own.
Even so, rather than being a hunter, his place in usefulness for the pack was to act as hunting practice for the young ones. He got pretty good at evasion and stealth, because of these games. He also became rather self-sufficient, as he refused to eat the spoils of the hunt with his family, at least the human ones. This is because he remembers his own species, if not entirely his connection with them. He also found out that he prefers to kill and cook his meat, which his pack see as just one of his "quirks".
Growing up, he got to hear many stories of heroism and adventure (usually from his family's victims, trying to impress their way out of being eaten), and fell in love with the idea. He also trained in magic with the rest of his family, and, to their and his surprise, he actually has a bit of inborn magic, which he trained strongly. He also managed to get a hold of some training manuals for the martial arts, which he enthusiastically threw himself into. Once he was strong enough to journey by himself, he left to explore Felarya, and promised to bring back trinkets and souvenirs to his pack when he returns.
Personality: Maalt is a happy person, being raised by fairies, and thoroughly enjoys life. He especially enjoys traveling and fighting. Specifically, his most notable hobby is punching things. His family's dietary habits have deprived him of meaningful interaction with his own race, and the serious, zealous nature of humans interests him greatly. He likes people (and has never eaten one, despite peer pressure). Maalt has a lot of energy, and it takes a lot to faze him. Activity captivates him, and he simply adores Negav for its hustle and bustle.
Abilities: He has a powerful sort of inborn magic, which he trained heavily after discovering it, alongside the martial arts books he loved so much. The specific ability in question is his ability to "coat" his body in magic, or simply release magic pulses out of his body. This he uses both to increase his overall damage output, and to deal damage to incorporeal foes, an ability that saved him many times when he was still in the Fairy Kingdom. He has also had a chance to hone his martial skill on his journey from the Fairy Kingdom to Negav, turning it from a crude, book-learned repertoire to a serious asset in the interim.

| Name: Damien Smith Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Human Skin Tone: Tanned Eye Color: Red Hair Color: Red Height: 6'2 Weight: 186
Quote: "From my experience in this very interesting world I conclude that despite their size advantage the Giant Predators here are nothing more than fodder for my experiments, as well as the native barbarians that dare call themselves 'human.'"
Equipment/Clothing: Wears leather boots, blue jeans, a dyed red leather jacket over it, 100% fire retardant. Carries a high caliber sniper rifle on his back, a machete at his hip and a pistol on his left leg. His right arm is fake and he can shift his hand from normal to a sword, the arm also has extendable blades on it and it can absorb energy and fire it back.
Abilities/Skills: Damien is very agile and swift, able to make his fluid movements hard to follow or predict, though he prefers to fight from a distance. His main power is he can create and manipulate fire at will, giving him the ability to incinerate anything in his path with little or not effort. He can make the fire take forms, come at someone from all directions, though he prefers to just clump the fire in a massive wave, to overpower anyone in his way.
Personality: Damien is highly intelligent, his study of biology, anatomy, and genetics are rivaled by few people, and he has been known to kidnap live subject to use for his tests, mainly fairies, young nagas, and local humans, to study the differences, most don't live long under his care. He does this in private, and the dangerous nature of Felarya easily covers up his crimes as "fatalities of nature." He hides most emotion he feels to the best he can, his anger gets the best of him at times, but he hides happiness, sadness and other simple emotions. He is not a sadist despite his hobbies, but he does take pleasure in pain inflicted on him, it drives him more into a fight, enjoying it that much more when his opponent can fight back.
Backstory: IN PROGRESS, WILL POST IT WHEN I AM READY!

| Let me try with this one. - Spoiler:
Theresa Minas
Description: Without any implants, Theresa is a limbless woman missing a good part of her chest and face, whose entire body is covered with burns, scars, metal slots and plugs. She weighs an approximate 35 pounds as she is, counting metal, and her ghoulish countenance barely reaches two and a half feet long: the number of organs she's got left can be counted on one hand.
But she's rarely found like this. In general, she's clad with artificial limbs and wears a layer of worn synthetic skin over her face and torso, even going as far as to wear an ash-blonde wig to compound the effect. The dense metal all over her body adds up to 312 pounds of rolled steel, machines and transistors, hoisting her up to a height of 5' 11". She covers her entire body at any opportunity, including a pair of sunglasses to hide what eyes she has now, standing unnaturally still all of the time.
Personality: Bitter and cynical describe her well, but unlike many of that persuasion, she doesn't have much of a wit to match her attitude. She's quite bold in what she says, though, even when saying utter bullshit she knows no one in their right minds will believe. Despite her mean attitude, she gets cold feet quite often and is pretty easy to intimidate.
Though on some level she's yearning for a connection, she barely spends any time thinking about what she wants. She mostly goes around on a whim, doing and saying whatever comes to mind, rarely thinking things through- which leads to consequences piling up faster than she can accept them. It's fair to say she has issues.
Background: Long story short, she ran away from home, one thing led to another, and then using her cyberlimbs she escaped the arena before a fight she knew she would die in if she attended. Hoping to be able to avoid doctors for a while, she decided to go for Felarya- where, albeit in growing discomfort from her prosthetics being deprived of regular maintentance and her body of medical care, she's managed to survive. However, the need for money and -she congratulated herself for figuring this out- medical attention led her to try and take a job as a merc, preferably one that had her somewhere she could get the drugs and care she needs to reduce the discomfort her limbs cause her- before it degrades into damage caused upon what little's left of her body.
Abilities: Aside from the fact her strength has to be measured in horsepower and that she weighs the same as a motorbike, she has noisy joints and a barely responsive face: it's never a challenge for her not to move, and getting a read from her body language is impossible. There's plenty of empty chambers inside her limbs, too, which allow her to hide some stuff inside.

| (I'll go with this character) - Kinara's Bio:
Name: Kinara Race: Yamarashi Gender: Female Age: 25 Height: 6'3" Hair Colour: Deep Forest Green Eye Colour: Brown Predation: Opportunistic Food Category: tinies 0.5 - 4 inches, animals 2 - 18 feet prefers: duikers The yamarashi are here. Kinara is a member of the forest yamarashi, symbolized by her green hair, and as such, she travels with her people around the forests and jungles of the central, southern, and northern regions of the main continent of Felarya. Her hair is just as voluminous and spiky-looking as any other yamarashi’s, in a deep shade of green and reaching down to her ankles. She has yellow face and body paint on her cheeks, neck and shoulders. She wears a brown leather brassiere over her chest and a grass skirt with nothing underneath. She usually wears no form of footwear, though sometimes dons armour made of hardened animal hides. Kinara is a very rambunctious yamarashi. Above anything else, she loves to fight, even if it's just an argument. She uses it as a way to judge character in people she meets, and though it isn't always correct, it seems to be accurate enough for her. She does have a bad habit of talking for people she knows, getting them in trouble by doing things like making bets on their part. Despite her fiery nature, she usually adopts a very relaxed attitude; she doesn’t take things personally, she can laugh at jokes made at her expense, and she can admit when she’s wrong with ease. She takes her duty as a protector of her tribe very seriously. Part of her job is to make sure that no outsiders eavesdrop when the yamarashi hold meetings about where they will travel to next. To do this, she won’t hesitate to kill even someone she considers a good friend. She’s also sworn to assist any yamarashi she sees that is in danger, though she sometimes applies this to members of other races as well. Her boastful nature can sometimes cause her to get in over her head, and she can come off as rather arrogant. She also has an addiction to gambling, which, whether it be with money or with life, can cause Kinara a great deal of problems. Fortunately for her, the luck of the draw has kept her alive through most of the things she brings upon herself. Besides the natural defenses that her yamarashi hair-needles give her, Kinara is a sort of jack-of-all-trades when it comes to wielding her people’s weaponry. She is skilled with stone-headed spears and quill spears, both single and dual wield, tomahawks and battle axes, and quill bows to boot! She also sometimes uses a weapon of her own design, a two-sided polearm weapon known as a double glaive. Its shaft is 4’3” long, with a curved, single-edged blade 7 inches long on both ends, each facing the opposite direction. Though Kinara is skilled with these weapons, she cannot carry all of them at once. At any given time during combat, she could have at most two of these weapons on her to choose from. Kinara is quite fast and capable of delivering swift attacks, and can switch from offense to defense as needed. She is also quite skilled with innate wind-element magic. Her wind magic allows her to cover long distances by jumping. She can also use this magic to create swift, sharp gusts of wind that can cut targets, even from afar, up to 15 feet away. These cuts don’t go very deep, however, and they do little to nothing against a giant predator. She can combine her wind powers with her weapon-wielding ability to make herself more lethal, such as while using a spear, she may use her magic to decrease the wind resistance around her body and push her limbs in the direction they’re headed instead of against them, making her movements much faster, and allowing her to throw a barrage of thrust attacks in a rather anime-like fashion. This particular ability puts more strain on her muscles, however, and causes her to tire out quicker. When using her double glaive, she can show the ultimate combination of her weapon skill and magic skill by spinning the weapon quickly in front of her and using it to assist her in making a whirlwind of sharp gusts that can be projected up to 25 feet away from her, aimed around, and can pureé a human in the blink of an eye. As a yamarashi, she has their collective weakness; getting their hair wet will weigh it down, causing her to become pretty well immobile, as well as making her safe to touch and eat.

| >_< I've been thinking of trying to rp here for a while now but I'm not really prepared. Not only am I new to rp'ing on forums but the character I was thinking about using was Rhea, the girl in my avatar. But I've only used written three stories involving her so I don't exactly have her completely figured out and her bio... well, I've been thinking of re-writing it because it doesn't focus enough on her. I've attached a short version below that will serve as a temporary solution. ^_^;; - Spoiler:
Name: Rhea Taiyo Species: Human Chrono/Bio Age: 18 / 18 Sex: Female Height: 5'9 Skin complexion: Light, often blushed Hair color: Strawberry Blonde (but typically colored red in my drawings) Eye color: Light Green Affinity: Fire magic Other characteristics: Has avian-ish eyes and thicker looking hair due to the presence of filoplume and downfeathers. She sometimes wears her hair in a long braided pony-tail with a large pink (or red) ribbon tied at the end. Predation: Opportunistic (seriously) Personal quote: "The way I see it, playing the role of predator or prey is a matter of choice." Rhea is an Elite warrioress and a fiercely competitive person. She is that way because she has quite a lofty legacy to succeed; a legacy left by her father who was heralded as a hero back home. The feats he performed in defense of their city are not likely to be matched by anyone alive, and yet many people expect the same greatness out of Rhea. Perhaps if her father were still alive, he could tell Rhea to not carry such a heavy burden, but it was almost six years ago that he was swallowed alive by a giant blue and white creature called a Phix. Rhea prepares herself to face that phix one day in hopes that avenging her father's death will do some justice to his legacy. Rhea, being incredibly hard on herself, sometimes feels overwhelmed by the tremendous pressure. Her peers don't always encourage her because of a widespread misconception that she feels entitled to being among the Elites; this perception has also made Rhea the target of numerous mean spirited pranks aimed at humiliating her. The tendency of her skin to become bright red when she blushes from embarrassment, or anger, has contributed to her gaining the nicknames "the Raging Strawberry" and "Strawberry Short-fuse." There's that and the fact that she smells of strawberries from bathing in them so much. During the Finals, a ritual that all Torinian Elite candidates must survive to earn their titles, Rhea meets the dridder Khariklo. Getting to know the quirky, 3000+ year old dridder, Rhea was advised, "stop trying to live up to your father's legacy and start trying to be yourself, whoever that is." Rhea realized then that she didn't trully know herself; so not long after arriving home and graduating from the military academy the determined warrioress set out on a journey to find the answer. Hunting habits: Rhea had always considered herself a predator. She was convinced that if she didn't think like a predator she would end up as someone's prey. So she looked at the challenge of fighting a giant creature as hunting, rather than simply defending herself. She will snack on a tiny if she spots one, probably without much hesitation at all. Furthermore, along the course of her journey to discover herself, Rhea learned that she is a vorarephile; the strange thoughts she had always entertained as a child resurfaced and finally made sense to her. Her understanding of this part of herself has broadened over time and she now enjoys fantasizing about eating those people that make her angry.

| Mind if I join in with this guy? This sounds like fun. - Spoiler:
Name: Michael Clarke Gender: Male Race: Human (Earthan) Age: 21 Height: 5'14 Weight: 198.23 lbs Hair colour: Blonde Eye colour: Green Skin colour: White Choice of weapon: Soul Fang. That's right. He fights using a Naga Fang as a weapon rather than something normal. Personality: Michael is mostly a very withdrawn person. This is a result of the experience Michael was faced with upon his arrival in Felarya. He is always very serious, focused and determined. He rarely speaks to anyone about anything other than his problems. This has led him to be a little self-centered at times. But, he still maintains his compassionate side, even if he doesn't show it, and is more than willing to help someone if they really need it. He holds a grudge against the Fairies Mel and Xir for eating his parents and kidnapping his little brother. Therefore, despite how dangerous Felarya is, he wishes to remain in order to to take revenge on Mel and Xir. He, believes that, despite the odds of his survival, his brother is still being held captive. History and traits: Michael used to live with his family in the country until he and his family were warped to Felarya. Upon their arrival, they were found by two fairies named Mel and Xir. Mel tricked Michael's parents into believing they would help them in an effort to tease them, before Michael's parents were eaten alive right before his eyes. He immediately lashed out, easily beaten half to death by Xir, and watched as his crying brother was carried away. Fortunately he was discovered by a Deluran Scout named Sarah Leear, and taken back to the Base. Upon his arrival, the Delurans learned Michael was strong, so they made a deal, and began working with him. Michael would lend them his services, and the delurans would help him figure out a way to find Mel and Xir and kill them. During his time with the Delurans, Michael fought off a bunch of bandits that had been hunting a diamond Naga named Cinny in an attempt to kill her for her scales and sell them. This action triggered the generation of a Soul Fang. Michael, unsure how he would carry such an object with him all the time decided to fashion it into a weapon. He has it strapped to a mechanical gauntlet on his right arm, and uses it to stab and bash opponents.

| Kinara looked up at the enormous vehicle before her and whistled, impressed. That day she had been wandering around Negav, having been told to take a vacation by none other than the chief of the forest yamarashi herself. "Kinara, with all that you do for your people, you really should take some time to do some things for just you. I hereby command you to take a vacation, on my authority as your chief."
"But what good would a vacation do me?" Kinara had thought. She hated just sitting around and doing nothing. She liked to be on the go, with lots of action, and the wind through her large mass of spiky, forest green hair. So, when she went on her 'vacation', she took all of the skevols she had saved up over the last little while, and decided to take some weapons in case something interesting happened, bringing her quill spear, quill bow, and her double glaive. Once she was all ready, she went off to Negav to do some gambling. Though, since a yamarashi like herself generally doesn't have much use for money, gambling with skevols just didn't give her as much of a rush as gambling with danger did. But then someone handed her a flier with a job offer on it, and she just couldn't refuse that.
So here she stood, in front of the gigantic techno-vehicle-thingy. To Kinara, it honestly looked like a little much, but she supposed that in a place like Felarya, humans needed all the protection they could get. Of course, if it meant more money to gamble with and some more excitement in her life, Kinara was happy to offer that protection. She looked over and saw the man who had handed the flyer to her, and grinned at him, happy to see a slightly familiar face. At least that told her she was in the right place.

| Damien looked at the vehicle, largely unimpressed as he silently tapped his foot against the ground, deducing that he was in the correct location. Damien had never been one more menial tasks such as an escort, but needed the money for new equipment.
Damien pushed his long, fire red hair back a little, hoping that he and this Neko were not the only ones that would be guarding this van, though he found any Neko more capable than local humans.

| Michael was getting annoyed now.
This was his first time to Negav. He was lost. He held the map of the city in one hand, the flyer he had been given in the other. He had little choice but to do what was asked of him by his rescuers, and filling in for a now-assumed-dead soldier was what he had to do now. He wouldn't have gone and accepted this request if he had known it would be so hard to find who he was going to help. If he didn't get there soon they'd leave without him and he wouldn't get paid. His boss wouldn't be too pleased with him then.
After ten more minutes of walking, Michael finally spotted where he was supposed to be.
"Damn it... I must've walked straight past it at least three times already..." He growled in frustration.
He approached the craft and saw two others had already arrived. Good. He was gonna need all the help he could get. If you're fighting, it's best to have allies.
"Excuse me, is this the..." Michael looked at the flyer. "... Centari Caravan job? I'm filling in for some Sebastian Alexander guy. He's been missing for a couple days now and I don't think he's coming back."
(don't pay any attention to this Sebastian person. It's pointless.)

| The slow, ponderous steps of a figure in a bulky coat, covered from head to toe seemed to tremble as she approached the ship. Her head turned around sluggishly, looking for anyone who looked like they were in charge from behind her thick black sunglasses, partially hidden under a broad black hat. Her ash-blonde, shoulder-length hair looked somewhat stiff and unnatural, barely moving as she scanned the area. | |
