Where was your character when...

Had a fun thought, guys. We got a huge and detailed chronology, but most of our characters live around the present. So I was wondering, what happens if we compare our characters' ages and the milestones in their lives?

So let's try seeing what were our characters doing every year, shall we?


When the Earth was still hot- Marlene is born.
When Earth cooled down enough to take a nap- Marlene takes a nap.
1877 AU- In the Great Rocky Fields, Rozal is born.
1942 AU- Piper is warped into Felarya at the age of 37.
1981 AU- In the Dridder Forest, Thory is born.
2032 AU- ???? is warped into Felarya at the age of 42.
2035 AU- Locust is warped into Felarya at the age of 32.
2039 AU- Locust creates FOOD.
2042 AU- Marcel is warped into Felarya at the age of 23. Circumstances keep him alive- including finding a sign written by Locust.
2043 AU- With some reluctance, Marcel joins FOOD. He takes to it well, and climbs the ranks quickly. At around this time, Metzger is born in Kortiki.
2044 AU- Nifil is born.
2046 AU- Marcel loses his position as first mate. Samantha is born in Kortiki. Sareu Trosvil is warped into Felarya at the age of 22 after destroying planet Fii.
2047 AU- Isa is born in Kortiki. Sareu Trosvil begins terrorizing the Forest of Whispers.
2048 AU- FOOD is ambushed by Crisis and nearly gets wiped out.
2049 AU- In Deeper Felarya, Elsara Jolinte "Elsie" is born. Sareu Trosvil founds the Wintergeist, or the Bakatsuki, or whatever he calls that organization he commands.
2056 AU- Isaac Chernabog is warped into Felarya at the age of 24.
2058 AU- Isaac Chernabog gets eaten by Nifil.
2059 AU- The Jolinte tribe is nearly wiped out. Remainders decide on whether to stay or move. Elsara's parents decide to move south.
2061 AU- Elsara's mother is killed after they settle down south of the Jewel River. Her father, ignoring her protests, decides to move even further, to the west this time. He meets his end in the Great Rocky Fields; Elsara, now an orphan, is adopted by a centaur.
2062 AU- A new fairy hunter shows up in the Forest of Whispers. He joins Sareu Trosvil using the name of Faulkner.
2067 AU- "Elsie" develops, from local techniques, some sort of potion that has deleterious effects on her mind. Her adoptive mother's constant vigilance starts to take a toll on her, and the two of them grow estranged enough to separate. Now overwhelmed on her own, her sanity begins to slip.
2068 AU- (Present Time) Marlene wakes up.

If you insist...

We always assume the "present" year is 2068 AU. If so, referring our characters' ages and the milestones in their lives, we should be able to ascertain what year those things happened, and maybe in comparing dates we'll get a few lols.

Is that any clearer?

As for what I think would be best, I think it'd be best if you had something to work with before participating. Until you have a backstory for Agato, or at least a chronological age, there really isn't much you can do here.

Ok, let's go then... This might get updated in the future, but I don't think that's the purpose of this thread, actually - unless if forgotten some detail the first time.

I'm sticking with Felaryan events, so things like what was of Grigor's and Yuritza's lives before they arrived in Felarya won't be covered.

1600s AU- Ruina Murnoe, succubus, is 'born'.
1814 AU- Seelvee, dryad, sprouts in the Forest of Whispers.
1868 AU- Due to her obvious rampage, Ruina is banished from all mortal realms, including Felarya, by a large group of mages and priests. Shortly after, her clan falls in disgrace, but she refuses to give up.
1900s AU- Despite being trapped in Hell, Ruina manages to create her pocket universe, Mondo Ruina, where she can lure people's dreams in her free time.
1986 AU- Grigor Sergeievich Tarasov, human, is born (speculated to be from one of many alternate Earths, but not confirmed).
1990s AU- Nanda Korian, giant wandering dridder, is born in the Dridder Forest.
2020s AU- First sighting of a druid called Veron in Felarya.
2030s AU- Kyria, mute canopy fairy, is born in the Forest of Whispers.
2031 AU- Cassandra Shepherd, inu and future seasoned adventurer, is born in a small unknwon town.
2035 AU- Shaun, neko, is born in the Rosic village.
2037 AU- Lorne Santiago, human magician, is born in Negav.
2038 AU- Grigor is warped in Felarya along with his scientific group after the usual 'experiment goes wrong' event. He is the only survivor that manages to get to Negav thanks to an expedition of the O.A.D.D., previously reported on the arrival of Grigor's group.
2041 AU- Abel Montalban, tomthumb, is born in Pelnepi, Negav.
2045 AU- Yuritza Ventum, half-elf and ranger, is born in Saltzio, Kingdom of Loria, Realm of Durodia.
2046 AU- Melanie 'Mel' Woodrow, neko of Vithe ascendancy, is born in Negav.
2047 AU- Grigor leaves Negav. He begins the building of an inn dangerously near the Forest of Whispers. Many agreements, incluiding one with the fairies, are made in order to ensure the place's safety. Kyria and her parents are present when Grigor gets away with it.
2048 AU- Murmur, Grigor's inn, opens.
2050 AU- Kyria's fathers move to the Fairy Kingdom, while their daughter decides to live an independent life in the Forest of Whispers.
2052 AU- In the Torpaline coast, Shaun and the rest of his group pass their initiation test as Rosic musicians.
2053 AU- Kyria meets Seelvee. They quickly become best friends as Seelvee helps Kyria in her new life and making herself respect among other fairies.
2055 AU- Nanda, now a scout of her clan, leaves for her first exploration journey outside the Dridder Forest. She establishes a semi-permanent post at a cave in the Bulvon Wood.
2056 AU- Mel tastes a tiny - a tomthumb - for the first time. She doesn't like it, lets the tomthumb run away and from that moment, she promises not to eat any tinies. Just because of the taste.
2057 AU- Lorne joins the O.A.D.D.
2050s? - 2060s? AU- Grigor strikes a pact with a dimensional mage who has established himself in Safe Harbor to help him with the supplies for Murmur, shortening his journeys.
2062 AU- Lorne leaves both the O.A.D.D. and Negav. He establishes himself at an abandoned hut in Tolmeshal Forest, as his interest on dimensional magic grows and wants to be somewhat close to Ur-Sagol. His spells help in keeping his new home safe from danger.
2064 AU- Nanda and Grigor meet for the fist time, the dridder saving the human from a Kensha beast. Since then, they sometimes meet when Grigor is off to get supplies for his inn.
2065 AU- Mel joins adventurers Atila, Hugo and Sussie, forming the group known as "Los Mercenarios". They stop at Murmur and she meets Grigor, the innkeeper. After her group falls in the hands of a fairy (Kyria) at the Forest of Whispers, she barely escapes with her life and joins Murmur in hopes of a better life.
2068 AU- (Present Time) Many things happen:
- Abel leaves Negav, looking for adventures. His means of transportation consist in getting in random adventurers' sacks and bags.
- Nanda meets Yuritza in Miragia Forest, as the latter had been warped from a dungeon she and her group were exploring. The guardian golem of such dungeon had been warped as well, and injuries Nanda. Lorne happens to be there investigating the forest and saves Yuritza.
- After recovering from her wounds, Nanda keeps traveling, even though she's puzzled about Yuritza's fate.
- Lorne takes Yuritza to his house at Tolmeshal Forest to teach her how to survive Felarya. They need each other if she wants to go back home and he wants to explore Ur-Sagol and live to tell the tale.
- In a visit to Negav, Cassandra meets Shaun. The neko shows off his music and storytelling skills. It looks like they'll stick together for long.
- Seelvee meets Veron and the druid leaves the dryad quite confused.
- Mel meets Abel, who has lured into Murmur. She tries to gain his trust and for now, it seems to work.

Good idea! This gives me the reason / motivation that I needed to decide, for instance, how old my main characters actually are.

I'd already begun to think of it a little in relation to my latest story (posted today), which is largely set in the past.

Here goes. Consider this provisional; it may need adjusting.

Apart from births, these are all events seen or mentioned in my stories.

1607 AU: Shelny sprouts from a seed in Tolmeshal.
1732 AU: Shelny renounces eating any being capable of feeling pain (although she has occasional lapses before managing to hold to her diet). Little by little, she becomes a point of temporary refuge for travellers in the forest.
1756 AU: Ajab and his two brothers hatch on the edge of Chidokai, near the foot of a mountain.
1761 AU: Ajab's parents resettle their little family in Tolmeshal, where the children will have more opportunities to socialise with other nagas.
1765 AU: Ajab's parents decide their children are old enough to fend for themselves. They return to Chidokai while the boys remain in Tolmeshal.
1784 AU: Ajab conceives a son, whose mother does not allow him to maintain contact with the boy.
1809 AU: A tribe of fairies settle in Shelny's area of the forest, and befriend her.
1837 AU: Ajab takes part in the "Great Destruction" of Negav.
1870 AU: Ajab spends several months off-world. It is not his first departure from Felarya.
1984 AU: Yemic is born in the Fairy Kingdom.
2020 AU: Mieleti is born in Hell.
2022 AU: Roshan is born on the crime-ridden human world Ordona Prime. His mother abandons him into the care of his depression-prone father.
2029 AU: Milly is born, the second of three children, in a sparsely settled giant rural village on an alien world.
2030 AU: Enita is born, close to where Shelny is rooted.
2031 AU: Jissy hatches, before her two siblings, in Tolmeshal. Days later, she's kidnapped, taken to Ordona Prime, and entrusted to a human family by her buyer, Alez Lahmit.
2034 AU: Isham is born, on a human world, in a peaceful, technologically advanced society.
2038 AU: On Ordona Prime, Alez Lahmit takes full possession of Jissy, removing her from her foster family and maintaining her captive.
2039 AU: Tina is born, into the Alsumi tribe.
2039 AU: Canni is born in Tolmeshal.
2040 AU: Elia is born, into a rural aristocratic family on a remote human world.
2040 AU: Hlaani is born, near the Oloonde Lakeland.
2041 AU: Shaan is born in Tolmeshal.
2041 AU: Tan is born, among the Alsumi.
2042 AU: Calina is born, in Tolmeshal.
2042 AU: Lucilya is born, near the Fairy Pond.
2043 AU: Selima hatches, in the forest near the ruins of Ur-Sagol.
2044 AU: Vuni is born in Bulvon Wood.
2046 AU: In accordance with tradition, Milly leaves her home, and travels off-world.
2046 AU: Joanna is born, in an artificial village in an industrial snacka-farm.
2046 AU: Meszlaha is born, in Tolmeshal.
2046 AU: Tiasha is born in Bulvon Wood.
2046 AU: Canni's mother disappears, presumed killed, leaving the little dridder an orphan.
2047 AU: Happy sprouts from a seed in Ur-Sagol.
2047 AU: Shaan is orphaned when a giant mermaid eats her mother. Canni finds her, and Happy. The two girls settle together with the baby dryad in a building and garden in Ur-Sagol.
2048 AU: Milly arrives in Felarya, and travels through a broad area. Roundabout this time, she stops ageing.
2051 AU: Milly settles in Tolmeshal, and begins to build her hut.
2053 AU: Roshan is hired by Alez Lahmit as Jissy's full-time carer.
2057 AU: Hlaani leaves her home and travels, eventually reaching Negav.
2057 AU: The Alsumi settle under Milly's hut, initially without permission. She soon discovers them, and welcomes their presence.
2059 AU: Tina spends a lot of time with Milly. They gradually become each other's closest friends.
2060 AU: Isham joins a theatre company on his native world.
2060 AU: Roundabout this time, Tina stops ageing.
2062 AU: Roundabout this time, Lucilya stops ageing.
2063 AU: Roundabout this time, Selima stops ageing.
2064 AU: Hlaani joins FOOD.
2065 AU: Vuni is swallowed by Katrika, and regurgitated a short while later.
2066 AU: Roshan brings Jissy back to Felarya.
2067 AU: Elia is swept into Felarya, and found by Jade.
2067 AU: Joanna is "harvested", sold as a snacka, and is brought accidentally to Felarya, where she's rescued by Milly.
2067 AU: Vuni and Tiasha give birth to nine baby slug girls. Vuni is swept away by a vanishing realm, then brought home by the same means.
2067 AU: Mieleti decides she's not cut out to be a demon of death, resigns, and applies rather optimistically for a job in Heaven.
2068 AU: Selima is eaten and digested by Jissy. Isham comes to Felarya and is caught by Milly. Jissy falls pregnant from Ajab. Jissy and Roshan are recaptured by Lahmit's men, and rescued by Ajab and by the fairy Enita. Isham moves to Safe Harbour and meets Elia. Hlaani accepts an invitation to stay at Milly's. Yemic arrives at Milly's. Vuni and Tiasha are attacked by tomthumbs; they flee their burrow with their babies, and find refuge with a dryad, Paem. Milly, Jissy, Roshan and Hlaani's encounter with Anko takes place. Jissy lays her eggs. Happy connects with the dryad network. Roshan meets Meszlaha, and is pressed by Ajab into moving to the nekos' village.

Whew! That took a while.

2030 AU - Tarynn is cursed, draining her supply of good luck and making her life terrible
2032 AU - The Aloes Tribe banish Tarynn until her curse can be cured
2034 AU - Tarynn settles in a cave on the border of the Great Rocky Fields
2043 AU - Tarynn meets the bushy-haired fairy for the first time
2044 AU - Tarynn creates her first set of limpobo leaf garments
2056 AU - Arcis is born
2068 AU - Present Day - Tarynn's life is still terrible
2078 AU - Tarynn meets Arcis for the first time (her life is still pretty terrible)

Funny enough, when I was planning on writing about Slyte and company, they were supposed to run about roughly a hundred-or-so years before the current date. Only a handful of them were supposed to be around until Felarya's current date, the majority of them having vanished due to either happy endings (for a few) or not-so-happy (for the majority) considering just where they live.

Of course, if I intend to write such now, I have a fair deal more source material to go through to avoid canon contradictions and the like.
