| - Spoiler:
These are just some characters I thought of. I still can't get my words to "flow", but hopefully I'll improve. Oh, and Marja's height might be a bit off since I don't know if chlaenas are measured the same as mermaids Miscellaneous Characters - Spoiler:
Trava- Spoiler:
Name: Trava Species: Lemurian Sex: Female Height: 5 ft Skin color: Fair Hair color: Greenish blonde Eye color: Hazel
Trava is a lemurian with hazel eyes and greenish blonde hair and fur. Her hair used to be entirely blonde, but over time it turned a greenish blonde, possibly from exposure to certain plants and algae. Aside from her tail and ears, the only parts of her body covered in fur are her feet and a small patch on her right shoulder. Trava has very powerful plant magic, but has little control over it. For example, if she's combating a foe she's aware of, her power is lessened and she has only very basic skill. However, if you suddenly startle or surprise her, you might get punched by a rapidly growing tree or get ensnared by a grove of gripper vines. She's rarely aware of when she does this, and when she senses someone approaching she may turn around only to find a plant that wasn't there before. Because of this ability, Trava has saved herself from countless foes without even realizing it. Unfortunately, her power doesn't discriminate meaning that even her friends must be careful not to startle her. Her manipulation over plants extends to dryads, nature elementals, ephemerales, and apluyahs too, but manifests itself in strong persuasion instead of total control.
Marja - Spoiler:
Name: Marja Species: Chlaena Sex: Female Height: 107 ft Skin color (Upper Body): Usually light amber Skin Color (Lower Body): Usually crimson with gold specks Hair color: Crimson Eye color: Violet Predation: Specialized
Marja is a chlaena with deep crimson hair and a lower body of similar color, but littered with specks of gold. Her octopus arms are very long and sheet-like, and resemble a billowing dress. Even by chlaena standards, Marja is very strange. She rarely looks anyone in the eye, and when she does, she stares with such intensity that she causes the speaker to look away. When speaking, she might suddenly stop and laugh at something or start muttering things to herself. She tends to talk wistfully, and zones out into her "own little world" quite easily as well. She also knows a few other human written languages, but it's unknown how she learned them. When reading, she has a tendency to cover her right eye. Marja never reveals much about herself aside from a few personal preferences, and her past remains unknown. She hasn't been witnessed using magic either, at least not yet...
Kalyah- Spoiler:
Name: Kalyah Species: Squamataur Sex: Female Height: 104 ft Skin Color: Fair Scale Color: Emerald Green Hair Color: Pale Aquamarine Eye Color: Gold Predation: Opportunistic
Kalyah is a giant squamataur with pale aquamarine hair and warm gold eyes. Her lower body is that of a green rilmanidon. Like a normal rilmanidon, she can briefly run across the surface of the water. Her added weight from her humanoid half makes this ability difficult for her however, so she isn't really known for this ability. Many aren't aware she's even capable of it. Kalyah spends most of her time resting on branches or in pools of water, but she is by no means lazy and is willing to work hard when the situation calls for it. Her friends know her as very calm and collected, as she's good at staying rational under pressure. She's also very clever, and able to easily think of solutions to problems. Kalyah's preferred foods are arthropodal creatures such as miaxi and small dridders, but she won't pass up other small prey if she gets the chance. To hunt, she usually ambushes from the water or drops down from an overhanging limb. Kalyah is an expert at surprise attacks, but doesn't often pursue prey if they escape. Currently, Kalyah has no magic.
Serket- Spoiler:
Name: Serket Species: Scorpisai Sex: Female Height: 3 in Skin Color: Tan Exoskeleton Color: Gray Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Brown
Serket is a tiny scorpisai who has lived in Felarya for as long as anyone can remember. The healing soil preserved her small body however, making her appear in her early adult years, despite being alive for possibly hundreds of years. Like a scorpion, Serket's venom corresponds to her size, with it being more potent the smaller the scorpisai is. Considering her tiny size, this means that her stinger is extremely lethal. Another thing keeping her alive this long is her strange magic. Serket seems to be the host of a bizarre kind of wild magic. It's almost like a living parasite that lives within her and feeds on the extra magic that radiates as Serket's magic signature. Not only is it completely harmless, but it nullifies her magic signature, making it harder for her to be detected by the predator sense. When in danger, Serket can tap into this magic and increase her existing abilities such as speed or strength for a short period of time. There are many theories as to what exactly lives within Serket. Some say it's a spell gone wrong, while others claim a magic elemental decided to make a body from her internal magic. Whatever the case, it's clear that it's the main thing keeping her from getting eaten in this perilous world.
Shard River Fairy Pack- Spoiler:
The Shard River fairy pack is a formidable group of fairies who prowl the Shard river. They can be found anywhere within its vicinity, and are very well informed of what goes on within their territory. Achlys - Spoiler:
Achlys is a member of the team shrouded in mystery. For one, she wears clothes. A silky white medieval looking dress with flowing sleeves and armbands. Her hair is a lustrous platinum blonde, with a braid going around the back of her head and adorned with silver ribboning. Her eyes are violet, and stand out against her ghostly appearance. Achlys is usually missing, and only seems to appear whenever mist is abundant in the forest. Her absence is always more than made up for in the end however, as she always returns with a plentiful catch. To hunt, she wanders into human settlements, masquerading as an elegant stranger. Charming her prey, she leads them into the forest where they fall victim to her poisonous mist. Along with her ability to conjure toxic fog, she can cloak herself in mist, but any damage in this state causes her to revert to her default form. Additionally she has a sort of limited teleport that allows her to vanish and reappear anywhere her mist reaches.
Seda- Spoiler:
Seda is the leader of the team, and brains of the operations. She is a canopy fairy with green hair and amber eyes. While reckless in battle, she is far from it when planning. In the staging of a "mission" she is known for being incredibly precise and thorough. While a bit bossy to the rest of the pack, there is no argument that her plans always seem to work. Along with basic warping magic, Seda can also summon an array of weapons such as daggers, arrows, sais, occasional swords, and once even a sniper rifle!
Lilith- Spoiler:
Lilith is the bubbly persona of the group. In some ways, one could say that she and Fay are the only "real" fairies of the pack. Unlike most of the pack who, compared to other fairies, are a bit serious, Lilith is just packed with energy. She possesses bright yellow hair and stormy gray eyes that seem to occasionally flicker, as if miniature storms are trapped in her irises. Like all storm sprites, Lilith can transform into electricity, but she can also manipulate and fire bolts of lightning.
Kera- Spoiler:
Kera is the ominous dusk nymph of the pack. Like standard dusk nymphs, she possesses red eyes, along with dark vantablack colored skin. Her hair is very dark purple, and she also possesses moth wings, which stand out compared to the clearer wings of her friends. Kera is a fairy of few words, and usually used as a failsafe during a hunt. Lying in wait in the shadows, she springs once everything goes wrong. This, coupled with her terrifying ability to drag victims into their own shadows to destroy them, makes her essential in turning the tides of battle.
Eira- Spoiler:
Eira is a pureblooded frost sprite with pastel blue hair, ivory skin, and brown eyes that turn blue when she focuses her magic. As well as her ice magic that allows her to freeze and manipulate ice, she also possesses the rare ability to break apart into a flurry of snow. While often a bit overlooked in comparison to the other pack members, her level headed personality comes in handy when calming down a hyper Lilith or controlling a berserk Seda.
Fay- Spoiler:
Fay is one of the weaker members. Aside from standard shrinking magic, she possesses an odd lack of magical skill. Being a Threnos fairy, she also lacks the ability to exeed human size. Due to this, she would be very vulnerable in the wild if not for her fairy pack's protection. Fay has found a place in this group of misfits as a spy, and is exceptionally good at it due to her shrinking limit of less than an inch tall. Her most daring feat has been singlehandedly retrieving Miaxi honey from an active hive. She also possesses a strange love of flowers, and loves to adorn her light brown hair with them. The many shades accent her eyes, an otherworldly mix of blue and hazel.
Sachiel- Spoiler:
Sachiel is a water sprite with sapphire eyes, light blue skin, and messy blue hair. He also wears blue clothing, adorned with a black belt and lighter blue stripes on the sides. Like many of the pack, he's unusually withdrawn. He does have his bubbly side though, which can seem a bit unhinged and causes unease to those who get the wrong impression. While he possesses standard water sprite abilities, he seems to have developed even more abilities from his water elemental side (who is most likely a naiad). Similar to naiads, he can completely liquify from his humanoid form into water. Sachiel can avoid attacks by allowing physical weapons to simply pass through his water body, or regenerate severed body parts by turning them to water and rejoining them. Also like a naiad, his density corresponds to the size he is. For example, when giant sized, a hard enough blow can cause Sachiel to destabilize and break apart into water. When tiny, he becomes much more compact and can deliver stronger hits to smaller enemies such as shrunken fairies or tinies. Additionally, he's skilled at water magic and can conjure powerful torrents of water, as well as manipulating existing sources. With his magic, he can easily switch between offense and defense, giving him a wide range of attack options when in a duel. Still, he does have notable weaknesses. Being a water sprite, Sachiel's wings are not capable of storing magic and he must be near a large enough body of liquid water. Also, he is not capable of powered flight with his malshapen wings and can't get high enough up to counter aerial targets. Nonetheless, it may be best not to provoke him.
Shadrach- Spoiler:
Shadrach is a crimson maiden (he prefers the term "crimson master") with blood colored hair and red eyes. His hair is brighter in certain parts, giving it a "streaking" look to it. He's pretty similar to the water sprite Sachiel in terms of body structure and hair style, despite the two having a deep dislike of each other. He's even gone as far as calling himself Sachiel's rival, which is no surprise considering that Shadrack's fire magic naturally conflicts with Sachiel's water magic. Shadrach speaks little of his life in the crimson forest, though he did used to live there. Most just assume that he got banished. Strangely for a crimson maiden, Shadrach wears no armor. According to him, he did used to have it though which just makes more people believe the banishment rumor. Surprisingly for someone who reveals so little, Shadrach is just as upbeat and confident as any other fairy, and has lots of friends. As expected, he's also a very good fighter and warrior. He has yet to beat Sachiel though, as their water and fire attacks just cancel each other out.
Edit: I'm considering a reboot of all of my original characters since looking back they didn't turn out quite..to my current interests

| Updated my first post, gave Sachiel a rival, and sorta invented a new parasite. I also made a tiny scorpisai, since the scorpisai page never specified size |

Thank you! I worked really hard on them! The names were the hardest part, since the name meaning is a hint at the traits of the character. Not sure if I should list the meanings or just keep it as an Easter egg though |

Not sure if I should list the meanings or just keep it as an Easter egg though I could tell. They are quite clever I will give ya. Just keep in mind if you list them on DA you'll need a fuller bio than this or you'll have include this whole document to make it worth the reader's time. Oho! I thought there was something funny about the names you chose. One I recognized as Gaelic I think? At least the roughness of it made me think Gaelic.

My source could be wrong, but here's where the names originate: Sachiel: Hebrew Shadrach: Hebrew Trava: Slovakian Marja: Scandinavian Serket: Ancient Egyptian Kalyah: Misspelling of the name Kaliyah which originates from India Note: Even though in this case Kalyah was a typo I made of the Indian name, it does exist as a name by itself. However, the meanings don't match so search for "kaliyah" and not "kalyah" |

| Hebrew! Interesting base. I remembered Serket from Egyptian lore, I think they are also considered Cryptids aren't they? Hmm a word puzzle hidden in characters. x3 Fascinating. I'm gonna give this a shot then! I love anagrams and word puzzles. | |

| I'm currently considering an air elemental oc, but I might make him a different race. Oh, and I made some extremely basic visual aids for Sachiel, Shadrach, and Trava clothing designs, but they came out all blurry (which is saying something considering how horrible they looked before their quality changed) |

| Ok I cleared up some of Sachiel's abilities and made him a teeny bit crazy cause all the best people are. I'll be doing these mini expansions for all the characters since I'd like to change a few concepts |

Eventual change is good for characters. They will develop allot of times in a lifetime. Clare and Tam show this if you look at my bios on DA. XD So many little tweaks and revisions have lead to them being so well liked and so fn to write. Hopefully you'll see that with Sachiel too.
