Trans-universal mishaps?

So far, it seems like travel to and from Felarya is pretty safe, at least in terms of the actual transition between universes (whether you're safe once through or not depends on whether there's predators around.) There are a few occasions where the transition has altered the traveller, such as in Jora's case (she became a giantess.)

What I'm wondering is, how common are occurrences like these, and just how bad can one get?

i believe its rather a random process, as chaotic as felarya itself is... take Anna for instance... randomly is transported out of Crisis's stomach to a place not to far away, but now shes a giant Naga... thats pretty outrageous XD

It's only speculation. I can imagine an awkward moment where the predator's mouth is wide open and right next to a portal. You know the rest.

So basically, when travelling through a portal or inter-universal shift, (intentionally or otherwise) it's anyone's guess what condition you'll come out the other end in.

Ooh, the possibilities...

Felarya Portals are just about as dangerous as every other fictional portal. Though instead of going insane or drawing in some big bad nasty, you may just change size or shape.

For this, let's ask Bill the Negav Scientist as he has recently published a paper on this matter.

Bill- Well, there are thousands of portals opening across Felarya every day.Of course, most of them close after a short time, and only half of them have anything come through. Of that half, only half of that has sentient life come through. And of those cases, of course not all come through intact. There are cases of people going insane from the trip, leaving parts of their body behind, and even coming through as a different gender!

Of course, if there was a story of someone being horribly maimed by the dimensional trip, it would be quite the short story indeed. And so, most important characters come through fine.
