| A little while ago, I started writing a fanfiction in which Crisis and Anna find themselves in Silent Hill. I've been sending every draft to Karbo to prevent any OOC behavior. At the moment, I'm still trying to decide on a number of plot points:
1) how they got to Silent Hill in the first place 2) how they were reduced to human size (realistically speaking, I had to shrink them down because if I left them at their normal size, I wouldn't have enough to work with) 3) what clues they should follow; what has been leading them around the town 4) how to balance the suspense with a few comic relief moments 5) what items and weapons they come across, their availability, and how they are used (I'm not giving them anything explosive, semi-automatic, etc. because that would give them too big an advantage)
I've already decided what kind of monsters they will run into throughout the story (and before anyone asks, NO I will not include Pyramid Head). The story contains references to vore, albeit in a much different manner than is typically associated with Felarya; long story short, eating the monsters is not an option, as they not only taste horrible (Crisis will describe their flavor as a combination of rusty metal and rotten meat), but some of them are actually toxic if eaten.
Since I've got a bad case of writer's block at the moment, would anyone like to read what I've written so far?

See above, all kinds of stuff happens in dreams. - wrote:

What led the normal SH protagonists? I want to say a shadowy Neko for Crisis, or an unseen predator for Anna. - wrote:

Comic relief doesn't work well in some universes. SH is usually one of them (Though the alien endings leave room for otherwise). If you must do comic relief, perhaps some Gallows Humor? - wrote:

Flashlight would be a good start. Crisis would likely be too inexperienced to use any real firearm effectively, so perhaps some sort of Melee weapon (lead pipe?) for her. Anna with a Carl Gustav (Lookit, some Comic relief! Also, very bad idea). - wrote:

Good idea, I don't recall Crisis or Anna either raping or being raped in some story. - wrote:

| I can tell you right now, the story is highly unlikely to be a dream. That'd be almost as stupid as the ending from the Sonic the Hedgehog PS3 game (the whole thing was pretty much erased from the in-story timeline because Princess Elise blew out a candle).
As for how they got there, I did consider having Crisis chase a neko into a dimensional rift, but that seemed too simple. Then I thought, maybe Gunther had something to do with it, but if I included him in the story, I would have too much to keep track of; besides that, I don't know enough about the guy to write him accurately. So now, the only idea I can come up with is that a Tonorian chased them there, but I'm probably going to scrap that idea too.
Regarding what led the SH protagonists throughout the town, Travis Grady: Saved Alessa from the fire, searched for her at the hospital, and ended up collecting triangular artifacts (whose name escapes me at the moment) for her, to protect her from the town cult Harry Mason: swerved to avoid hitting Alessa, then searched for Cheryl, and ultimately found himself in a similar situation to what Travis went through James Sunderland: went there after receiving a letter in the handwriting of his wife, Mary. His situation is less clear than some of the others. Heather Mason: was stalked by the town cult, went back to the town to avenge Harry's murder Henry Townshend: Never actually went to the town, but I disregard SH4 because it was initially written as a separate game; it wasn't adapted as part of the series until late in its production, and as such contains almost no references to the rest of the series, save for the rabbit mascot, mention of the town's name in one of the endings, and a vague connection to the town cult. Alex Shepherd: Unsure, the game hasn't been released yet. What I really want to do is find a way to add the puzzle-solving aspect of the games into the story. I can only use the "this key is from another building" scenario a few times before it starts to sound monotonous.
The comic relief was actually Karbo's suggestion. Given the nature of Silent Hill as a whole, such moments will be few and far-between. What's Gallows Humor?
As for the items, I pretty much had to include the flashlight and radio; it just wouldn't be right without them. I also found an excuse for Anna and Crisis to wear clothes (yes, that's right. Crisis will wear an article of clothing! However, it does take a bit of..."convincing", before she agrees to it); simply put, the flashlight is meant to be hands-free, and I needed a way for them to carry items with them. The weapons will be primarily melee weapons found in the games, and firearms will be used sparingly. I'm debating whether Crisis should attempt to use a gun, but if she does, it will be very late in the story. What's a Carl Gustav?
The reason I didn't include Pyramid Head is because he would have no legitimate reason to be there. PH was the physical manifestation of James' desire to punish himself for what he did to Mary, and besides that, both PH's killed themselves toward the end of SH2 anyway. Every monster that appears in the story will be based on some aspect of Crisis or Anna, although I did think it necessary to include a slightly tweaked version of the nurses... The bestiary so far (in order of appearance): Stripe: based on Anna's memory of a certain tiger; they're similar to Groaners Dragger: based on Anna's initial dislike of her naga body; think of the Lying Figure with bound legs instead of bound arms Cancer Stick: based on Anna's smoking addiction. I can't say anymore without ruining the suspense Leech: let's just say that vore can be dangerous Split Dridder: self-explanitory
That's all I can give you for now.

Not usually the best source, but works here. - wrote:

Some automatic weapon would be best then for her, automatic fire alone would likely see little loss in even her hands. - wrote:

Rocket Launcher. Some interesting enemies.

| You still haven't told me what Gallows Humor is.
and like I said in the first post, NO explosives or semi-automatic weaponry! The most powerful weapon that will feature in the storyline is a shotgun, MAYBE a hunting rifle, and will probably only be used once or twice.

Humor created in, and regarding, stressful situations. A joke about the quality of your noose, for example.
