| Uh... I think your criticism is too harsh. JiroKatsu has never suggested that he's an amazing artist. His style is simple, but I doubt I could do any better. It at least conveys what he's trying to do. And what's a Felaryan style? Not everyone can just copy Karbo. And people posting in this thread are doing it just to update people as to their art. It's just most people haven't really got into using as much in recent times. It's ridiculous to blame JiroKatsu for other people not posting. You can just not come to this thread if the percentage of JiroKatsu works drive you into a fury. All I see is that JiroKatsu is just interested in Felarya and uses it as a theme in his art. I think his stuff does work better for the comics he does. You seem to be confused that your opinion is the truth. | |

| I never said I was angry or infuriated by his art. I'm just being honest. And there is a lot of room for improvement in his art. | |

| Alright, how about this: instead of posting in succession for each new artwork update, new artwork can be edited into the last post until someone else posts after you. | |

Yeah, I think this sounds like a good idea. It bugged me how this topic kept getting bumped and I'd be about to check it out, only for it to be ANOTHER Jirokatsu picture. And Jiro, honey, L'Ryn might be a bit harsh, but she has a point. I'd re-read her posts and think about them. It might seem as though she's just trying to beat you down, but constructive critique (Which is what she gave, though without sugarcoating) is invaluble if you want to improve. There is nothing worse than getting stuck in a rut and drawing nothing but what's in your comfort zone, and frankly, if you brush aside criticism as just someone being mean, you'll improve at a snails pace, if at all.

| L'ryn, I am tired about your agressive attitude. Since you seem to disregard what I said to you in previous notes, this time I give you a proper warning.
I'm sorry but you will have to change your behavior and change it very quickly if you want to be able to continue to post on those forums...
Honnest and constructive critique is fine but what you do is not. It's flamming, trolling, or bullying, no matter how I look at it, be it in the forum or in the chatroom, and it has been a relentless trend lately. If you are coming here to let out the steam somehow, you are at the wrong place...

If you are coming here to let out the steam somehow, you are at the wrong place... I did not disregard your last note. I am not flamming or trolling. I was being honest and blunt. If I told him his art sucked and suggested nothing to improve, that would be mean and bullying, but I didn't. If you had set guidelines down upon this thread, I am certain this could have been avoided. Maybe if you also spoke to Jiro, and urged him to improve his art, and gave him much needed critique, this would not have happened either?

| I think it's a rather high and mighty attitude to be judging his art in this manner. He never asked for critique, indicating he is comfortable with where his art is at the moment. I realize that he is posting in this thread, but this is mainly a sharing thread. You're assuming that you are right and that it's Jiro's obligation to change his art to satisfy you.
And I still don't get what all the fuss is about this thread. Sure, I'd like to see other artists, but I'm not sent into this bizarre rage whenever I see another JiroKatsu piece. While you may not be trolling and are trying, I agree with Karbo that this just seems like bullying. Just sticking "no offense" in at random intervals doesn't make your critique any less harsh.
