| I've got a few ideas for some species, but I haven't developed them much so maybe you guys can help! =D Eel hybrids - somewhat smaller than normal mermaids, mostly live in rivers, a bit more serious than mermaids Octopus hybrids - much like mermaids, but with the lower half of an octopus Seahorse hybrids - smaller than mermaids, somewhat timid Slug hybrids - slightly smaller that nagas, fairly lazy and somewhat slow Bat "harpies" - nocturnal harpy-like creatures with bat parts rather than bird parts Some other bug hybrids like moths, dragonflies, etc that are more human-sized
These are just random ideas, feel free to elaborate. =3

| the idea of the bat harpy and the squid girls are already developped and discussed on the forum. Eel hybrids seems similar to the concept of river mermaids
there are thread base on bee girls I suggest you to read it. For the others ideas I don't know sorry

there are thread base on bee girls I suggest you to read it. For the others ideas I don't know sorry I saw the thread about squid girls right after I posted this. And yeah, I guess the eels probably are a little too similar to river mermaids. As for the bat harpies, can you give me a link to where they're being discussed? Maybe I'm just retarded, but I can't find the thread.

What did you think about those in first? Should they have somekind of abilities? I made a slug girl a while ago, actually. http://vivian666vampira.deviantart.com/art/Lief-52910219 I haven't really thought about what abilities they might have though. I think they would probably be a species that would frequently sleep eat though. ;3

| I like the idea of a slug-girl very much! I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
We're getting quite a little community in the leaf littler of the jungles of Felarya. Dridders, Chilotaurs and now Slug-girls.

| Hmm.... you know, these ideas seem developed to me. I like them all (especially the slug girl. It's like a naga + slime) | |

As a particularity I would also have them drool a lot ( a bit like in your sketch with the one sleeping ). I think that can be cute ^_^ Maybe they could leave trails of slime that the prey would get stuck in. That would help with catching small groups of prey once in a while.

| What about the most obvious choice: camouflage? Too cliché? Perhaps mental powers? Such as inducing paralysis or vertigo if you come within range. | |

Too cliché? Perhaps mental powers? Such as inducing paralysis or vertigo if you come within range. Camouflage is actually seemingly rare in Felarya. Most things are too big to effectively use it, and others are often moving in too-large of groups (Safety in numbers) to effectively use it. A solitary race that has wonderful camouflage could probably survive quite well on Felarya, especially if they aren't all that big.

They seem more of a mix between Shape-Shifter / Lost Beastie, though I could see that working as 'camouflage'.

| Don't ask where this idea came from. I was thinking of the massive number of people that get eaten then about some of the few cities and villages in Felarya. So, I was thinking of an idea of how some places have there own regional food delicacies. There is no particular limit to what people make and eat. But I was thinking that with a certain foods and plants in some area. It give different flavors to different foods. And this would show up in people as well. Example in Cat girls are eaten regardless. but in certain area's they would have a rather nice taste because of there diet. And thats as far as I got with before brain freeze kicked in. If you have any ideas to improve on it feel free to speak up. | |

That sounds pretty cool, though wouldn't the villages with tastier inhabitants be wiped out?
