Kora's Hunt Empty
PostSubject: Kora's Hunt   Kora's Hunt Icon_minitimeMon Feb 16, 2009 9:14 am

Hey, ya'll.I've found this old story about my main Felaryan character, Kora the Leopard Geckotaur. It was based on a picture Blazbaros drew for her. It's a bit old, the writings a bit crappy, and it's a bit short, but, I thought you guys might like it.Smile

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A light wind swept across the desert sands. A hot sun floated over the arid landscape, showing miles upon miles of sand, boulders, and the occasional cacti.

A convoy of covered wagons seemed to be the only thing that was alive in the death-spelling terrain of sand. Horse drawn, with western looking folk inhabiting the shaded wagons, they seemed to be doing fine on their little, “trip”, across the desert. They had plenty of water and food, and the nearest settlement wasn’t too far. It seemed like everything was going fine…at least, “seemed”.

The wagon convoy stopped at a large mound of boulders. The path that went past elevated upward in a squiggled fashion, with wild grass randomly sprouting at different parts of the mound. It was small, but it was dangerous. Going around wasn’t much of an option: The mound seemed to form a natural wall of sorts, challenging those who dared try to climb it, and it stretched on till it disappeared to the left and right.

The leading wagon, holding a man in his 40’s who wore a rusty-red suit and a gray hat with a red line circling the base, stopped, and the man sat up from his seat, and turned to the other wagons.” Come on now, steady those wagons! If you want to get through here, we have to be careful, and not make any foolish moves!” The wagons obeyed. As the man sat back down, a slight rumbling sound, at first no louder then a sound of a boot taking a step, began to elevate in sound and vibrations. The horses began to panic, while the riders and wagon-drivers tried to calm them down. Suddenly, a shadow cast over the wagons, coming from behind the boulder mound.

It was the upper half of a giant woman. Tan skin covered her body, and short, dark brown hair covered her head. Green eyes starred at the wagons, innocent and young-looking. She wore no clothes: She bare breasts were there as plain as day(causing several of the men to get nosebleeds). She began to come over the mound, and it soon became apparent that she wasn’t just a human.

The body of a giant lizard, a leopard gecko, to be exact, began to crawl over the rocks slowly, like a cautious cat. Yellow scales were covered in brown blotches, and her thin, but still thick looking, tail was striped brown and white, segments helping make them look more stripe-like. She continued to stare at the wagons full of humans, her reptilian legs clutching a random boulder, and the human/gecko hybrid crouched her upper body forward, holding it up with her arms which squeezed her breasts (once again giving the men nosebleeds). She simply starred at the humans, not blinking, and occasionally licking her lips.

The suited man, while nearly frightened to death, managed to keep his fear from showing. He pulled at the startled horse’s reigns, trying to calm it down. “C’mon Bruno” his voice shaking a bit, “I’m sure she’s nice”. If horses could talk, then Bruno would probably have said, “Is he serious!?!?”.

He looked up at the still silent and crouched creature, his voice quivering. “Um, ‘scuse me ma’am, we’re trying to get over the mound, so if you could be so kind as to move, we’d be mighty grateful…”

The gecko giantess leaned down, her nose almost touching the suited man. She smiled. “Actually” she spoke, “I don’t think your going to get too far.” Suddenly, her mouth shot at lightning speed on the suited man, grabbing the man between her lips, then swallowing him whole. Her stomach growled for more, and she looked at the other humans like a silver platter of food. She licked her lips and approached them.

As you would expect, the humans were terribly frightened for their lives, and many began to turn around and run or ride away. Those that ran were easy pickings for the hybrid, as she picked them up while running and gulped them down as she did. She began to close in on a straggling wagon (which straggled due to the amount of people inside), and suddenly jumped over and in front of it, also catching another wagon in the process. Ripping over the covered wagons, she began to fill herself, dropping helpless people into her maw. One man had a gun, but she swallowed him anyway. It’s not like a little gun would hurt her. She looked up to see the other wagons driving in the distance, riding off to who knows where. Eh, she would leave them alone. She had a decent meal today anyway. Leaving behind only the destroyed wagons, she walked off to find her friends, Nomnom and Rattla, cuz hell, if she left Nomnom alone any longer with Rattla, she would be traumatized.

Kora was the gecko hybrid’s name, and hunting, as well as some limited tech skills, was her game. Her huge form disappeared into the sunset…

I had NEVER thought of a gecko. Ever. In a million years. Until now. Wow. If you keep this up, you will become a unique asset to Felaryan lore.
