Mara, your cute little next-door fairy ^^

alright, I edited the bio again. I'm finally posting a re-done copy here. Some of the fluff has been taken out, and it's closer to wiki format. Fish helped too. thanks /fish/.

I decided to repost this even though no one's probably looked at it for a while. I feel it would be repetitive otherwise and clutter up the forum too much.

Past:
Mara was raised by her mother, Kasairi and her older sisters, Kandra and Eevy, among a tribe of canopy fairies somewhere around Deeper Felarya. She did not know her father growing up, as he'd left before her birth. During her early childhood her siblings too left the tribe to join others.

Later in her teenage years, she was with her mother when a swarm of giant insects chaotically swarmed the section of forest they called home. Unable to face the insect pursuers, they were driven away and separated from one another. On her own, Mara flew far away in fear of the ravenous swarm. Driven southward by the swarm, she kept going out of fear. Eventually near the Misty Glade, she encountered Janev, a naga, who led Mara to a nearby tribe of mist fairies. They allowed her to live among them. Over time she learned some of their magic to do with illusions and other such studies.

She was rather insecure due to not being able to find her mother. Unable to rejoin her, she didn't wander far from where she ended up. Many years later, she became proficient with the magic techniques used by the local fairies, and gradually gained confidence and maturity with time as well.

She and Janev were one day exploring the area of a temple ruin to both hunt and fool around. But when they couldn't find anything to eat on the outside, Mara decided she would go in to try flushing out potential prey. Things did not go smoothly, as there was a large fight going on deep within the temple, causing the aging structure to become more unstable. Mara was trapped somewhere inside. This is where she met the elven Archmage, Bael, who was searching for items on that level for a friend of his.

When both Mara and Bael met up, they decided to work together to get out of the temple, since she was more worried about escaping the temple than eating the elf she could get help from. Luckily for Bael, by the time they got out Mara had developed an interest in him that kept him from being eaten by either predator. Ever since, she seems to have had a crush on the elf.

Personality:
Mara has become extremely playful, and has learned cultural jokes living with canopy and then mist fairies for the majority of her life. One of Mara's key traits is her apparent naïvity, while she is really pretty intelligent. Mara loves utilizing all the magics she knows when hunting, employing illusion magic to confuse and disorient her prey, sometimes to the point of excessiveness before eating them. Mara tries to form strong attachments with friends but is usually wary of people before those she's unfamiliar with. She's normally difficult to faze emotionally. However, she doesn't seem to want to leave Bael's side out of separation with him, as what happened to her mother and siblings long ago.
