A small group of people walked down a path that led to the ruins of a once mighty city that could be seen through the dense trees in the distance. Even from their current position they could tell that nature was in the early stages of reclaiming the land. What was confusing to the large man and the muscular, scarred woman in the martial arts gee was that it had been like this for nearly two thousand years. According to the information gathered, the place was cursed. There were also bandits, nagas and other dangers lurking in the area. But it was still the safest way to the Mysterious Temple. Speaking of dangers...

"Stop." The large man suddenly said and reached for the weapon on his back. He looked to his right and saw that the woman had her bow drawn. "Yes I feel it too." She replied as if knowing what he was going to say, her eyes searching the foliage around them for the unseen threat. "There, up in that tree branch." The man, Kale, pointed upwards at something green behind the leaves. The woman, Evellic, nodded and drew a red colored arrow from her quiver and launched it at the object. There was the sound of the arrow whipping through the air followed by a loud FWOOSH sound. A few seconds later, a flaming Podmaw fell out of the tree and landed in front of the group of now surprised fortune hunters.

"Threat neutralized." Kale said simply and then added. "Oh and we will be adding the cost of every shot fired to your tab. In case you were wondering." With that he began walking as Evellic ran up to him. "I still think we should have brought a few others with us." She quietly said, glancing at the team of roughly a dozen explorers. "There's only two of use and we have to keep all these people alive by ourselves. I'm just saying, maybe we should call one of our friends to help us."

Kale rolled his eyes in annoyance and kicked the burning plant off to the side of the path. "Those are just some strange people we know and we won't be needing their help this time around. For once we're heading somewhere that isn't a death trap and we're being paid handsomely." He glanced at the explorers to make sure they weren't listening before quietly continuing. "Besides, we're heading to to a temple filled with treasure. Either we get paid or they die and we loot their remains. Either way, we finally make a profit."

Evellic shrugged. "If you say so. I just hope these people have something worth selling in case anything happens."

(You didn't do anything wrong. Just that there's not too many people who pop by in the rp area too often, and I didn't really pay much attention to this until just now. Dreadfully sorry. Anyway, now that I've had a chance to see this, it looks fairly interesting. Hope you don't mind if I join in.)

While the two humans were talking, the sound of whistling could be heard as a fairy passed through the area, brushing some of her red hair as she lazily flew by in the foilage above. She immediately stopped though, her emerald green eyes having caught something. She flew a ways back to see a group of humans, two of which were talking about something to each other. The fairy immediately put her dagger back in it's sheath before flying up to the humans without warning, a huge smile plastered on her face as she said, "Well, hey there! What brings you humans out to this neck of the woods?"

Both Kale and Evellic had heard something above them but ignored it, since their instincts didn't detect any threat approaching they passed it off for a small bird. So when the fairy suddenly appeared Kale, Evellic and the rest of the group were taken completely by surprise. As soon as she began speaking Kale immediately went from being surprised to offended when he was mistaken for one of the more stupid races on Felarya. "Uh oh, now you've done it." Evellic muttered, crossing her arms.

"First off it's Eurlian, not Human." Kale said, deciding that it would be best not to go on a giant rant in front of a creature that could turn him into an inanimate object if she wanted to. That and she was physically attractive. Before he could say anything else Evellic decided to speak. "Hello there, I'm Evellic and this is my partner Kale. We're just escorting these travelers to a temple. They don't know much about the terrain so they're paying us large sums of money to get there safely."

Kale decided the ask the question that was on every bodies mind. Well, the ones who knew what a fairy was. "We know you aren't here to attack us but don't fairies normally eat people instead of talk to them?"

"Oooooh, Eurlians, eh? Can't say I've heard of you before. Of course, seeing as how you're a completely different species, that would explain the extra huge muscles." the fairy commented, slowly flying around Kale and Evellic as she thoughtfully pondered the two. She then started flying back over to the human explorers as she said, "As for the whole eating people thing, I tend to like you more as sucky treats than actual food. I mean, if I want something to eat, I can just grab some duiker or another animal and eat that, but how am I supposed to enjoy your delicious flavor over and over if I just swallow you?"

"Of course, you two look like you'd try and kick my ass if I tried sucking on you, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like a pay reduction from me popping one of these yummy snacks in my mouth either, so I'll leave your humans alone." she concluded, wiping the sweat off of one of the male human's faces with her finger and putting it in her mouth, letting out a satisfied "Mmmm..." as she sucked his flavor off of it. After taking her finger out and wiping it against the human's clothes, and looked back to Kale and Evellic, asking, "So, you're taking these humans to the Mysterious Temple, huh? How far are you going to be going with them, anyway? You gonna take them inside the place, or are you just going to leave 'em once you've taken them there?"

"Us go inside with them?" Kale briefly glanced at the adventurers and then back at the fairy. Sure the two of them could solve the puzzles, they even had some experts to help with that. But there were a few types of creatures in there that had magical abilities that they had no real defense against. "No, we don't have any real way of defending against magical creatures to be honest." Kale replied and then an idea popped into his head. "You know, we could be persuaded to go inside if you come with us. What do you think Evellic?" He said and turned to his partner. The scarred woman shrugged indifferently. "I don't see a problem with that." She began. "There's bound to be something of interest to you in the temple if you decide to come along. All you have to do is take care of whatever magical creature we run into and you get some interesting artifacts in return."

(Evellic now uses a regular bow. Anyone is still welcome to join and voice their plot ideas. Please?)

"Oooooh, fights AND artifacts?! That sounds like fun!! I'd be happy to join your crew! Anyway, I seriously doubt it'd be very polite me to be a part of your crew with out introducing myself." the fairy said with a grin, flying up to the Eurlians and offering her hand to shake. "The name's Cazaria! Pleased to meet ya!"

Evellic reached out and shook hands with Cazaria. "I'm Evellic and the guy with the large gun is Kale." She gestured over to the man. "Right now we're about to enter the ruins of Ur-Sagol. The place is crawling with bandits so if you see any suspicious looking people with guns, zap first and ask questions later." The second she said that, the sense of approaching danger suddenly flooded Evellics senses. "Speak of the devil, that's probably them now. Everyone follow me into the bushes!"

The adventurers took cover in the bushes with Kale and Evellic. Once everybody was out of sight Kale turned to Cazaria. "See if you can fly above the trees and spot which direction the threat is coming from."
