| I quote the wiki once again, this time about Phantom Elves. - Quote :
- A human-sized species of elves, found mostly in Sunfall thicket, where several major tribes have settled.
Phantom elves usually have grey skin, glowing eyes, and dark hair. They wear light armor and use strange crescent-shaped blades. Now, I once saw a picture of a Shotel, which looks basically like this. Now, since Phantom Elves are said to use strange crescent-shaped blades, would it be similar to a shotel?

| Other possible culprits include: The Khopesh. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Falcata_íbera_%28M.A.N._Madrid%29_01_vertical.jpg A Falcata. The Falx (Mind not the man wielding the blade). A Kopis. And this is still only the tip of the iceberg. Of course, we could also be looking at it wrong and they could just be fans of Scimitars.

| Mhh I'm really not sure what the name was but the idea comes from a picture I have seen. Basicilly the blade is quite similar to the picture in the original post but the curve don't begin to the hilt. Instead the blade goes straight then became curved. | |

| Maybe it's like an elven modification, like sleeker and more rounded. | |

It wasn't exactly like a Khopesh. It's similar but the blade is more round / curved. The weapon acutally exist, I just can't tell where I saw it ^^;

| Could it be something like that? Except you'd have to make the curve more pronounced? | |

| no, more like a straight blade, that then make a crescent of sort. A bit like the Khopesh but more curved. | |

| Oh yeah, does the design of the blade apply only to longswords, or is it also present in shortswords and daggers? | |

| I can't do that sketch right now but It's clearly close to a Khopesh ^^ ;
And I beleive it's only for longswords. It wouldn't be practical for a dagger.

| Oh, would the Phantom Elves have a scabbard for those swords? How would they carry it around when they put it away after battle? | |

| What I saw was one with a more pronunced curve on the blade but this is very close indeed ^^ | |

| I saw something else, but I doubt it is the blade since the curve is by the tip of the blade. | |

It could possibly be a variant of that particular blade. I doubt that smiths forged things exactly the same.

| So... let me try to describe a picture, it's shaped like the Kopesh, a blade of about two feet extends straight from the handle, then another two feet of blade in the shape of a sickle. It has a deep and smooth curve like a Shotel to trip and reap around shields. I think that since it's a sword for Elves, the blade should be thinner and more flexible. | |

| I traced it flash and used the awesome power of vectors to make the curve more pronounced. Which of these is it closer too? | |

| While we're on the subject of Phantom Elves, their great power over their minds give them what abilities other than transcending death? Does it also include something like an astral projection? Like the mind leaves the body to scout ahead? | |

| Oh yeah, would Phantom Elves modify the handle so it's for one-handed or two-handed grip? | |
