Now, before I begin, this isn't much of a serious thing, but more of something a person would figure. Like most creatures with feathery wings, wouldn't angels during their younger stages of development molt? It makes sense to me, but I'm not sure.

I think they would molt, possibly multiple times over the course of their lives. In fact...I'd be willing to go so far to say an angel's feathers could be used as a magical item to bring luck and good fortune for those who are good. ^_^

I think they would as well due to them being holy creatures. Their feathers could provide alchemists with more possibilities. sparkythechu brought up a good point that during the time they molt, they'd be too embarrassed to show themselves. Though, if you were in the same situation, wouldn't you be?

Birds aren't. How can you expect them to have time to worry about hiding their hygienic routines when that's all they do all day?

I'm talking angels, mate. I mean, I don't think they'd want mortals to see that personally.

I dont see any problem with that... it's not like they'd be stripping or anything. Also, most angel pictures in the fantasy genre show angels loosing feathers all of the time, so maybe they don't even need to actively remove the feathers, they just fall off during the every day routines / flying. Either way, I don't think they'd need to hide, just because some feathers come loose. ^^

The most important reason: angels have some task to fulfill. Now can they do it when they're busy HIDING just because of some loose feathers? I don't think they'd run away from their duty, hide in a dark corner and stay there for a few days or so, just because they might feel embarrassed over a natural cycle. It doesn't make sense to me.

Huh. That's a good point, actually. One would think, like I did, that they would be embarrassed by what's considered a hygiene issue, but you're right. My bad. ^_^;;
