Sapphire's Blood
This plant grows in hot arid climates, including the desert. It likes rocky areas, and tends to favor growing in areas near there. This is especially true if there are animal feces nearby to provide additional nutrients. The plant has two stages with the first one feeding off the heat and sunlight with a little of the magic atmosphere seeping in as well, and it takes the moisture that exists in the air, recycling it through its system before eventually wilting. When it wilts, the interior seeps through the skin of the dried plant like a paste, retraining and possessing a lot of nutrients, water, and provides the perfect environment for the second stage. During this phase, the plant grows really tall really quickly, the roots go far deeper, the plant grows far taller, and the surrounding soil becomes more rich. In a desert environment this will also turn the sand into more arable soil! Though this plant prefers dryer more arid environments as a natural deterrent to desertification (which is also natural), people who grow crops will tend to plant this nearby to keep the soil incredibly rich. Cactus dryads in particular love to cultivate them.
The leaves of the plant bend downward, growing along the branches themselves in multiple series of wide fan like leaves, large and leathery. During the night, various places along the leaf veins and pores will glow in a brilliant array of blues, the more magic in its system, the the more brilliant the color. It is for this reason the plant is called "Sapphire's Blood".
