Okay, I got this bad habit of telling everyone my ideas. And after much debates (actually an advice from zalzas) I'm no longer allowed to tell people my ideas, as it still makes me feel like a dork. But since this place is about telling your ideas, I figured I could vent them all there. Note, all these ideas are intended to become established. That excludes Regis Dridders, Squirt Mermaids, Eco Dryads, Tastimus, and a few more.



Phantom Succubi

Overview

Phantom Succubi are a reclusive race of Sucubi along with Phantom Demons. Phantom Succubi are mistresses of illusions. So much in fact they make Mist Fairies look like amateurs.

Appearance

It's hard to figure out their real form for a mortal, see near impossible. For them, simply seeing them makes them fall under their illusion, and see the most beautiful Succubus in existance. You can pretty much guess what happens next. For demons and other supernatural beings, Phantom Succubi look like shadowy Succubi ghosts. Some has legs, others don't. They are usually 100 feet tall. They usually have dark skin, hair and eyes. Though the exact color may vary, the most common is gray or black.

Behavior

Phantom Succubi are quite malicious and twisted most of the time. They enjoy playing practical jokes on people, and are often devilish tricksters. Most of them are eccentric, and difficult to understand. Because they are reclusive, most are fascinated by how other Succubi behaves, making them somewhat curious. It's not rare to find Phantom Succubi with split personalities; usually an immature and a mature one. But most of them are both personality fused together.

Abilities

Phantom Succubi are mistresses of illusions. They can manipulate the mind of people with their illusions, harm them physically or mentally, and much more. There is no way to tell the difference between their illusions and real stuff. They can affect a huge zone and modify the whole terrain with their illusions, creating hazards capable of killing. They can also create a double of someone else, which is perfectly identical to the original. Their illusions are near impossible for mortals to break or see through. Only very powerful mages or supernatural beings can break or see through.

Phantom Succubi are semi-intangible, but can become solid or intangible at will, like a ghost. Whem semi-intangible, they can still interact with solid things, but possess limited shape-shifting in that state. They can stretch their limbs like rubber to incredible lengths, as well as their organs to incredible size, which you all know what that means. Although they can't take on someone else's appearance, they can alter their tone. They also can size-shift, but only their selves. They find little practical use to shrinking, and mostly uses it to fool mortals. When solid, they can't shape-shift or size-shift at all, but can interact fully with solid objects. When intangible, they can't interact with solid object, only intangible.

The biggest weakness of Phantom Succubi, and Phantom Demons as well, is their weak physical attributes. For demons, they have poor stamina, strength, speed, agility, senses, and durability. They have athletic human physical abilities in average, average human physical abilities at least, and peak human physical abilities at most. When intangible, they are a sucker for spells.

To make up for that weakness, they can possess inanimate objects to create a golem like body. They animate it via their shadow, which they can extend to show themselves on the ground or walls. The only way to damage the body is to hit the shadow. They also gain the ability to use the magic properties of the body if it even has some.

A new insectoid predator, because I dig mantis.

Grim Mantis


Overview

Grim Mantis are the natural enemy of Tonorions. They are an extremely savage and dangerous race of insects in Felarya.

Appearance

Grim Mantis are 90 feet tall mantis with a beak like mouth, long scythe-shaped blades in place of forearms, eyes on the sides of their heads, four long wings, four legs with talons, and a hornet abdomen complete with stripes and long stinger. They have a very hard exosqueleton over their body. Their eyes have almost 360° field of vision by being able to turn them in every direction. Their colors is usually jungle green, which gives them perfect camouflage in the jungle.

Behavior

Grim Mantis, like Tonorions are savage and violent. They are pretty voracious, and don't hesitate to eat whatever in in their way. They usually slices their preys to shreds, but their beak like mouth is extremely sharp and capable of slicing down preys. This makes up for the lack of teeth. They usually eat insects, including their own specie, and whatever look like insects. They are also a predator for Dridders and Fairies. Grim Mantis are territorial and usually loners, but sometime hunts in groups, though this doesn't happen often. They can be either nocturnal or diurnal.

Abilities

Grim Mantis' blades are extremely sharp. They are not mono-molecular blades, but they are still sharp enough to slice stone and metal like a hot knife slicing through butter. They can swing them at extremely high velocity. So much it can create sonic booms that can slice almost anything from a distance. Grim Mantis has very good reflex, and are very fast, though not very agile. Grim Mantis possess the ability to spit their stomach acid at their opponent from a distance. It loses a lot of its acidity when exposed to open air, but it is still very painful. They produce acid very fast. Their wings are actually very capable of supporting their weight, which is pretty light for their size. They don't fly very fast for their agility though. They can "flap" their wings so fast it can generates destructive sonic booms capable of shattering the thickest of glass and much more. If damaged, their wings falls, and are limited to the ground until it regrows, which usually take days. Their stinger is filled with a lethal venom. It can kill a giant predator in a few hours after being injected. Unfortunately, it's pretty easy to treat. But in large dose, it can cause almost instant death. They can launch their stingers at high velocity, but it loses its venom. They can launch multiple stingers with a pretty decent rate of fire. Their abdomen isn't actually plated, and destroying it kills the Grim Mantis. Grim Mantis aren't actually resistant to magic. However, their blades possess the ability to "cut" magic. Basically, if they hit a magic attack or spell with their blade, they'll completely neautralize the spell. They possess senses that allows them to sense and detect incoming magic assaults.

Location

Various. More concentrated in rain forests like Chidokai Forest or Bulvon Woods, as well as Jungle of Perils, Savana, and Grove of Carnivorous Plants.

Maybe both a bit powerful but some of their abilities are really well thought ^_^

Sounds great, though you may only want the edges close to monomol. While monomolecular blades are often quite sharp, they're also quite brittle in most instances. By making only the edge such, you increase the durability of their weapons (And thus their survival rates and life expectancies).

Northwestern Plains (Temporary name)

A sub-zone of Deeper Felarya. It is found a little past the dangerous forest. The main particularity of the planis is the total absence of trees. All there is to be found there are big, flat terrain of green grass. There are a few caves here and there, but those are mostly on the edges of Deeper Felarya. One thing to be known is that the edge of the plains are full of Dryads, making reaching the plains a challenging task. The winds of the plains are extremely pleasant, but completely random. Sometimes they can strange properties such as speaking, healing wounds, make people lighter, and more. Because of the lack of trees, predators have quite an easy time chasing their meal. The zone is mostly inhabitted by predators with talent in wind magic, such as Air Nagas, and the cute but deadly Sylphs.

Shadow Specter (Temporary Name)

Race: Ghost
Location: Dark Places, Tombs, Sunfall Thicket, wherever ghosts are present
Size: Variable
Threat: Variable


Shadow Specters are a special type of ghosts. Their body is pure shadow. They can't interact with tangible object or persons normally. Their appearances is unknown, as they spend most of their time completely invisible. Their ability is to "possess" inanimate objects, such as rocks, clothes, artifact, etc. to create a tangible body. They then become golem's shadow, which is how they control the body. The body will usually be humanoid shape. It's only there that their true form can appear: a shadow of a wingless, somewhat skinny demon with ram horns and long, pointy fingers, attached to the golem's shadow. They can execute all the abilities of each of the body's components. However, if some abilities of certain artifacts are incompatible, chances are that it'll backfire, or work improperly. The only way to defeat one of these specters is to either severely damage the body do it's too unstable to animate, or attack the shadow directly, as they become tangible in that form. Shadow Specters feed on the soul of the people they kill.
