Well, anyway. I think it would be better to have larvae bearing fairies be a subspecies... or a choice the fairies make themselves. They are magical afterall.

Anyway, your idea. I'll stop debating it now since you didn't insult any of mine. It's unfair to do the same to yours. Good bye.

It's all NOT REAL ANYWAY, so why break out the flamethrowers?

1. Not all hybrids are exactly like thier non-human part, I think many of us agree on this. In that respect, the whole "larva" thing could go either way, because fairies DO have insectoid wings.

2. For all those who talk about angels having bird eggs: That niche is filled with harpies, right? It's different for angels, thier "place" in Felarya is an army-ish equivilant, right? (I'm probably wrong) Thus, thier wings don't mark them as real "hybrids", but they would be more symbolic. But, that could also be said for fairies.

This is basically an opinion call. Karbo's, specifically. We shouldn't get so worked up over something that is being discussed as such a pure opinion.

I like this idea alot, the thought of a larvataur fairy baby sounds adorable and it would give them more depth. I don't think they come from eggs, but yeah they are larvataurs, then when they reach the age of about 4-5ish they're turn into cocoons and then emerge at the age of about 10or so as fairys and continue growing from then

I also wonder when Karbo's gonna comment on this seeing how the agrueing has gone down.

Well I think the idea is interesting and can be cute but this is not something I would see applicated to all fairies.. More to certain species.

The fact that Felarya ISN'T a generic fantasy world is prettymuch the entire reason I love it. Cliches are thrown out the window, and demihuman races only exist because they fill in animal niches. It's a world where all the animals are huge, and part human. And that's the way I LIKE it.

So I hope you do realize, every time someone tries to toss in an element that seems too generic fantasy, I'm going to fight tooth and nail to correct it.

Well I think trying to make original things is indeed important to avoid a dull and déja-vu world, but trying to be always and systematically original carry it's own dangers as well ^^;
By the way if you like universe that break many codes, I wonder if you know the game Planescape torment ? Razz

I think fairy larva are a great ida. And very cute! I have to agree with GREGOLE on this one.

However-as in all things Felaryan-Karbo has the last word.
