Stumbling Skyward

Verira slowly opened her eyes, as the morning sun found it's way to her face, through a small gap between the many branches in the packed forest. "uh it's already morning?" She mumbled in a dissatisfied tone. She sat up and looked at the very hyper Serena on her tail. "well we might as well get going" she yawned as she picked up Serena and Angella and placed them on the ground, before getting up to a standing position.

Angella smiled moving close to serena for comfort she placed her arm around the young naga "so you ready to take serena hunting i'll be waiting here for when you return"she says smilin as she looks up at verira.

Aleena smiled "yeah i agree we should go looking for some interesting treasure but were would we look and i know your not gonna give the elf anything but a while back you did promise her some treasure"

"Well, that was in return for being nice to Grip. Which she wasn't. She stops being a jerk, she can have some." pointed out Fenja.

Serena slithered ahead of Verira, wanting to get started as soon as possible.

Aleena shrugged smiling she pushed angella next to serena bending down "serena make sure angella goes with you"she says standing back up again at her full height she smiled looking at fenja "i guess your right fenja anyway lets go out and find some treasure"she says rubbing her hands togethor in anticipation.

Fenja picked up her gear and put the Sphere in it's holster. Grip climbed to the top and sat on the edge. Fenja began to walk into the jungle with Aleena, heading south, away from the dridder caves, the elf village and the river.

"Ok Aleena. Tell me if you see anything promising looking." she said. "Even if we can't find ruins we may be able to find more neko's who may know of a place."

"and of course if they don't they'll always be a pleasent snack"Aleena says smiling as she walks alongside with fenja keeping up a steady pace but in the end she shrugged shrinking down to human size she sat ontp of the sphere next to grip with her arm around him smiling "nice view eh grip"she says a small sly look in her eyes.

"I don't want you just eating neko's to punish them." said Grip to Fenja. He looked over at Aleena as she landed next to him.

"Yes, the view is pretty good from up here. Actually, excuse me for a second. I'm going to go see if I have any maps on me."

He climbed down into the Sphere but left the hatch open.

Aleena shrugged peering down into the sphere she put her hand in the slime newt had left behind she smiled licking it from her hand "hey this slime is pretty tasty"she says smiling as she hops down into the sphere and begins to lick up the slime she smiles and a few minutes later she climbs out of the sphere sitting once again on the side smiling she giggled slightly laying down next to the hatch.

Grip found an old map he thought was of the general area. It was an elf one and only really showed the village...but there did seem to be something else in this direction.

"Just keep walking" he said to Fenja and started to climb back out.

"oh that looks interesting"Aleena says snatching the map from grip she looked at it confused for a second before she helped grip out onto the side she lauhed "grip you know you read this map upside down don't you"she says turning the map around "see"she says showing him buut she couldn't help laughing slightly.

"Hmm." said Grip. "I'm sorry if I can't read elvish, okay? Uh, Fenja, turn around and head a little east this time." He sighed and rolled the map back up. "Looks like an old elf city that's ruins. Treasure for sure."

He paused, stretching, still a bit tired.

"I think I'm going to take a shower..." he mused, heading back down. "Feel free to use anything you want."

Verira gave Angella an evil glare. "oh no you won't, cause you're coming with us" She said and picked Angella up in the hair, placing her on her shoulder. "be a good elf and be quiet at ALL times" She smiled to Serena and started slowly slithering the opposite direction of Fenja. "let get hunting already...." She paused. "oh yeah, i can't forget about the trap suplies i got last night" She backed up a little and picked it up. "well...let's find a good spot to get started" She said to Serena. "and remember elf, KEEP QUIET" She growled but quickly put on a smile. "unless you're asked of course"

"Alright!" said Serena, slithering ahead. "So what sort of place are we looking for?" she asked. " Do those traps work anywhere?"

Angella swallowed nervously looking down at serena and then to the side of her at verira trembling nervously "WHY DO I HAVE TO BE QUIET"she asks aloud a small confused smile upon her face.

Aleena giggled "silly human it's not about reading elvish it's all a matter of reading a map silly"she says laughing out loud.

Verira had no hesitation giving Angella another evil glare. "because you're not in the lesson, you're just here to OBSERVE, not comment" She growled with her mouth right in front of Angella. She then turned to Serena "hmmm.....it's kinda hard to explain without something to show as an example.....i guess you'll see when we find it, shouldn't take too long, Felarya is filled with great spots for hunting and trapping"

"Okay, well, I'll just watch you." said Serena.

"Alright." sighed Grip, stepping into the shower and then throwing his clothes outside.
"You're right. You can have the map."

Aleena giggled "of course"she says grinning "erm just keep walking forward until you see a wall"she says tossing the map back into the sphere "i should probably think about investing in a pouch to carry things in"she says thoughtfull grinning as she began to hum a gentle tune.

"ok ok no need to bite my head no realy there is no need"Angella says placing her hands out infront of her defensivly "just one question though why am i even going with you"

Verira sent Aleena yet another glare, not the former evil glare but a glare just telling the elf to BE QUITE. "hmmm.....there's a clearing up ahead, let's do some trapping there first" She said and increased her speed a little.

Grip turned on the shower and was glad to feel the water hit him. Even with a fairy around, this always was able to relax him. He was a bit annoyed the door was glass - he had never designed this thing for visitors. But with the fairy, that was really a moot point.

"Okay." said Fenja, keeping up a steady pace. She walked briskly and happily, glad to be traveling.

Serena sped up to the edge of the clearing. "What do we do now?" she said.

Verira placed the pile of vines and leafs on the ground and looked at Serena. "i'm gonna teach you how and where, to make a good trap" She looked around for a place that prey might come from. She saw a tree that had been knocked over and was lying at the rink of the clearing. "Hey Serena, see that knocked down tree over there" she pointed at the tree. "that would most likely be where, the food set's up camp, so that's a bad place to make a trap" she then pointed at a tiny trail just across the clearing. "that place over there, would be a great place to make a pitfall trap"

"A pitfall." said Serena, thinking. "So you dig a hole?" She paused. "Hmm...I don't know how big of a hole I could dig. Maybe big enough to catch Neera." she said, laughing.

Angella sighed she looked at serena "so whats wrong with neera serena you can eat them and at least one person my size so stop being ungratefulll for what you can do you'll be able to do a whole lot more when your bigger"she says smiling as she looked at the little naga angella had her hands behind her back.

Verira glared at Angella "do i really have to tell you again?" She growled and then looked at Serena. "just a little bit of patience is all you need, in order to dig a big enough hole" She scooped up a handfull of dirt and hid it in the nearby bushes. "now a pitfall is pretty simple, you need just four things. You need some thin branches, something like these" She said and took some from the pile. "You cover the hole, with them like this" She placed the twigs one by one while making sure Serena was watching. "then you place some big leaves ontop of the branches and then you put the dirt, from the top of the hole or the sorounding area, on top of the leaves" She said while demonstrating. "and that's pretty much how you make a pitfall"

Serena had been copying Verira, watching carefully. Soon there was a small pitfall next to the larger one Verira had built.

"Now we hide, right?" she said as she followed Verira. "So shush up Angella." she said smiling.

Verira giggled. "well. you CAN hide now but i prefer making some backup traps first" She said and grabbed a vine. "i usally make a snare, a spider web drop or a web lift" She quickly made a snare. "i don't have a web or a spider web right now, so we'll go with this" She said and got to work making a snare lift, while explaining Serena how. She was glad to see Serena paying attention and even grasping the art of trapping pretty quickly.
