Star Wars Anime

This idea stemmed from a small conversation in Chat combined with listening to the Dark Forces, Tales of the Jedi, and Dark Empire audio dramas. What should a Star Wars anime be like? Should there even be one? What timeline would it be in? What characters would be involved and who would voice them? I'll start with my idea:

Star Wars: Galactic Civil War

The series takes place during the timeline of the original trilogy and begins right after the end of A New Hope. It focuses on the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia Organa, while certain parts of the series would also focus on Expanded Universe characters like Kyle Katarn, as the Rebellion continues its struggle against the Empire. The Rebels will go up against sinister new threats, like the Empire's Dark Troopers(part of the series would be an adaptation of Dark Forces) and one of Palpatine's most mysterious and insane disciples, the wicked Lady Yalath, who secretly holds a grudge against Vader and his descendants.

Well...if they did it for Halo and The Matrix...

And there's already a Star Wars Manga...

I know. Almost all of them are based on the movies. I'm talking about a full-fledged anime project. I personally think they should stick to the universe of the original trilogy, but I also think a Tales of the Jedi or KOTOR anime series would be awesome!

Damn! I just realized I should've put Infinities as one of the choices!

New Jedi Order. As it's got the closest thing to Anime-like characters and fight scenes. Ganner with his last stand against the Vong (would probably be done in a mech in the anime), Palpatine launching his Star Destroyer-nuking Force Storm (likely would be stopped by the power of love), and so on.

I think Tales of the Jedi came pretty close to an anime-like storyline. And I can definitely hear Crispin Freeman's voice as Exar Kun!
