Felarya Emoticons

Myself and tkh1304 where talking and on the chatbox on the forum and the topic of felarya emoticons came up. So, here I am now making a suggestion. Why not have emotions on the forum that are more felarya-ish? I'm sure finding a pixel artist would be easy. Heck I would be willing to do it.

Though, what kind of emoticons would be considered felarya-ish?

Well, I guess something to do with the inhabitant of Felarya.

For example:
-"smile" -> Crisis's happy face
-"annoyed" -> Anna's angry face
-"blush" -> Katrika's blush face with her hair turn from red to pink and pink to red(cause she like Anna)
-"sleepy" -> Drayla's face with "ZZZ" floating
-And so on...

Well, that's what I think. It isn't necessary that the emoticon set must be Crisis, Anna... maybe just a random Naga, Dridder... is ok ^^

Here is how to add custom emoticons to the forum, something that only admins can do.

Edit: Also some more ideas:

"horny" -> Vivian's usual face.
"razz" -> A fairy (possibly Melany) looking mischievous

Oldman your post is off topic^^; Why are you posting a 'how a mod can add emoticons' when this topic is about the suggestion of them getting added and having a pixel artist create the custom emoticons? After all you can't add felarya emoticons if they haven't been made yet^^;

tkh1304 - you're right, that really is felarya-ish for emoticons. You're ideas sound fun to create X3

Sean Okotami - xD vivian really does sound like the perfect felaryian for that one!

Just read the character section on Wiki and pick out some canon characters, and create emoticon base on their personalities. Hope it can help XD

Some other ideas:

*Hungry face* = Menyssan licking her lips
*Devil face" = Arale scheming something
*Playful face" = Anko's face with a grin (I guess?)

I suppose I could but I wont do any emoticons if the person in charge doesn't want any for the site or does but wants another pixel artist to make them~ ^^;

Why won't you ask for his approval through message or notes? Or someone that can contact with him? XD

Well, Active is better than Passive, I think ^^

I thought making this topic on it counted as active^^; but messaging him and asking straight to him might be better, you have a point.

I was just being proactive; not much point in making emoticons if we can't add them to the site, now is there? Plus, by searching out this info ahead of time, I reduce the delay if the idea gets implemented, because all the information is right here. Thirdly, it's not 'how a mod can add emoticons', its 'how an admin can add emoticons'; this is important because there are a lot more mods than there are admins.

Fourthly, I think a "hide" emoticon could be interesting/useful... possibly a pair of eyes looking out from some foliage?

I'm used to saying mod because I was a member of yahoo groups around the time it first came out. It was the term we used for what's been swapped with admin. The terms used to be mod and co mod, so even if this isn't yahoo I've gotten sorta adjusted to calling whats referred to as 'admin' or 'owner' as the mod ^^;

And its a habit I don't wanna break honestly.. cus mod sounds better^^;;;... Even if its an incorrect use of term.

What would the pair of eyes belong to though? Would it only show eyes?

I was thinking that it would only be a pair of eyes in the foliage, but an alternative idea was to have neko ears above them, and a naga looking around nearby. I ditched the neko ears and the naga because I felt that would be too "busy" and complex for a simple emoticon.

Actually I had something similar in mind for a little while but sadly I'm very bad at pixel drawing >>

Ara fish you're right, with that level of pixel art they would be the best for the job! ^^

I guess I was lazy and didn't look for avatars she's done.

Those ones look better, the ones that did bother me did because there wasn't much shading. As someone whos done art most of their life, even if I'm not the best artist I've still grown a slight agitation with some things^^;

uh. I want to know where the sweatdrop smily is. I can't find one.
