| Okay not sure if this is the right place to post this buuut. Has anyone had any insights on how Psi'ol Magiocrat "Families" work? Cause I've been working with some OCs and got a lot of data, but beffore I post it I need to know the rules for inheritance. Like does work the way most nobles do? The old king dies and thus the eldest prince inherits? Or is more like "Dead Men's Point Shoes"? Like young Magiocrats basically kill or "misplace" their siblings to gain a step on the ladder? Or can they make up their own rules? If that's the case I could write at least two bios and a few mini bios for some minor OC's linked to them. Hope I'm not being too much of a pest. ^_^; But I did look in the Wiki a little while back and didn't find any info on this subject. Thanks for taking time to answer these questions as they mean alot to me. | |

I always got the impression that the Council chose it's own members. That there are a set number of seats on the council, and when a council member leaves (either through retirement or possibly being forced out by other members/rivals) that the council would then extend a membership offer to someone else, likely a well-known and powerful mage. Scholars at the university, well-known mages around the high district, and even veteran Isolon Fist battlemages and officers would all be good potential candidates. It could also be that current council members nominate their own candidate and the rest of the council votes on who takes the empty seat. There are a lot of ways to go about that. As for their family lives and rules, that probably varies from individual to individual. Inheritance and such is a very personal matter, and the personality of the one leaving it really affects things a lot. Some mages probably pamper their children, and use their clout to help them have more opportunities. Others might send out their kids on their own when they are old enough, to find their own way. It just depends.

| I have been creating a number of Psi'ol Magiocrat families and such and using them in my Rps and notes. Though I've run into a snag concerning the mater of Inheritance. Is it like the oldest rules and then when he dies the next in lien gets it? Or is is based on magical potency or is it like handed down to the one who most fits the job? By the way I have consulted the wiki and I didn't find even a hint on this. | |

You already made a thread about this exact same topic. If you want to bump your question, bump it in that thread instead of making a whole new one.

Okay thanks for sheading light on that. I didn't even think to consider who the council themselves worked. >.- I'm too used to small time nobles and such. Magiocrats apear a little more sophisticated than kings and emperors. Whoever made them know what he was doing! - Quote :

That's how I thought it would work, but I had to make sure there wasn't a system in place already. Awesome! That means I have to do no changes really which works out good. Cuase like I wanted to say Mobius Autero had killed his brother and father and framed someone else that's how he got where he is. House Regula chose their members by adopting magicaly empowered individuals, not caring for pure blood but potency and House Galeth choose their heir based on right of birth and age unless a more talented younger member was noticed. Though they do not adopt. Thanks again, RCS.

| You don't: it's up to Karbo to decide what goes into the wiki and what doesn't. | |
