The fairy's expression - or at least what could be seen of it behind her long hair - seemed to soften a little after a moment as she realized what she'd just done. She began to calm herself, and took a deep breath in...and out. "I can't believe after all that work I almost killed him," she thought to herself. She was very disappointed in her lack of self-control, and as she reflected, she opened her wings again to use her size-shifting magic. She slowly shrank herself down to about 6'2" as the buzzing of her wings rang out; she flew towards Sayomi up in the trees.

The landed on the same branch Sayomi was on and looked towards her, a sort of neutral-looking frown visible on her face. She began walking towards the neko, not looking nearly as hostile as before.

Sayomi was nervous to say the least, looking to the fairy as she let her approach, going against her better judgement and trusting her. "What is your name?" She asked kindly, holding out her hand, taking a deep breath.

Ibrahime squinted, shielding her eyes from the sun's glare, trying to discern if El Sereno was okay. He saw his body flinch as it hit the ground, but the vague suggestion of a groan carried on the wind reassured her. A sudden flash of movement caught her eye, and once again she gasped as the towering behemoth before her suddenly shrunk down to the size of a normal person, taking flight in the direction of Sayomi. Unable to see her because of the foliage, and unable to hear their interaction because of the distance and wind direction, Ibrahime feared for the safety of her new friend.

Looking around, she started slowly back along the branch she was standing on, trying to find a different bough that would take her nearer whatever interaction was taking place between Sayomi and the fairy.

The fairy, after approaching Sayomi, raised her hand as if heading to accept her handshake. She paused for a moment with her hand near the neko's, then raised it up a little higher and swiftly moved her hand at Sayomi's face, attempting to slap her.

Sayomi winced, allowing herself to be slapped, touching her cheek as she looked to the fairy. "Was that for my insults?" She asked curiously, wondering why she has been slapped.

Da'Shi'Nal watched from a distance. As far as he was concerned, the less he had to do involving this weird girl, the better he was. Given she JUST shrank herself, the was no telling what she could do, and he had already guessed she could do that same to him, based on what he knew of magic. This odd drawing DID interest him, as he had no idea what is was supposed to be OR supposed to do, if anything. Rather than risk it blowing him up right now, if it even WAS magical in nature, he decided to just put it in his pocket and keep ready to defend himself, should something happen.

Jimmy chuckled as he watched Sayomi get slapped, and even lowered his guard a bit. He was really starting to like this creature. He shifted to a more relaxed pose, and brought his splinter cloud back to slowly swirling around himself.

El Sereno tried to get up, but as he used his arms to rise his upper body appart from the ground, the pain peaked and he collapsed again. He was able to turn his body, though, so he landed on his back and absorbed the impact, not hurting himself further. He breathed, but doing so deeply also made pain course through him, so he ended up settling for a quick, shallow breathing.

He could hear voices, but not quite focus on them, busy as he was paying attention to his own body for other places that might be damaged. He didn't feel pain anywhere else, not even in the knee he had injured before, which was strange. He didn't put much thought into it though, and closed his eyes to concentrate solely in the pain. It was different from what he felt when he injured himself when tripping or from a headache... This pain had an uneasy feeling at the background, complemented with surges of pain whenever his heart beated or he breathed too deeply. He focused on it, slowly feeling how the beats distanced from each other in time.

"No, that was for being a pathetic little b**ch," the fairy answered, a look of disgust on what could be seen of her face - namely the side of her mouth and one of her bright-orange eyes. "If you're gonna' insult someone, back it up!"

The beetle woman appeared as if she was going to take another step towards Sayomi, stomping her foot as she did so and raising her arms. She mainly just did this to intimidate the neko. Afterwards, she would proceed to turn to the side and leap right off of the branch and fall feet-first through the air, heading straight for the ground without any attempt to slow herself down. At the last moment before impact, she opened her wings and used her magic, causing a square portion ground below her to suddenly move downwards underground. She disappeared into the hole made by this, which then closed up behind her like a door, marking the fairy's begrudging depart.

"That was, entertaining." Sayomi said softly, seeing her leave as he quickly appeared beside El Sereno, eying his wounds. "Can you speak?" She asked him worriedly.

(How does she teleport? Some kind of portal, her molecules dispersing then recombining themselves at the next location, or what? I need it for my next post since he'll see/hear it all in slow motion.)

Meanwhile, Ibrahime had found a branch that would take her nearer to where she had seen the fairy fly towards, and so started dutifully along it. When the echoes of a slap rang out through the canopy she increased her speed, worried for her friend, just enough to hear the words "pathetic little b*tch" being carried on the wind. However, she could find no sign of either the fairy or Sayomi - until she happened to glance back to the ground and saw her leaning over El Sereno. She sighed, grinning. Damn useful power, that teleportation.

Moving swiftly back towards the main trunk she started to clamber down. She climbed more slowly and carefully this time - she no longer had the protection of the vine harness, and she knew from experience that a fall from this height could be fatal.

Jimmy was staring at the fairy, almost in awe, then she vanished, just up and disappeared into the ground. That killed it. All the well balanced value in that attitude left with the cowardly retreat, and his grin shifted to a scowl. Perhaps she just needed practice. He gathered up his slinters, then used then to grip his feet, lifting himself up and walking though the air towards El Sereno.

El Sereno heard a strange fizzling sound right next to him and opened his eyes then turned his head to look at the source. His head felt as if it took ages to move, and when it did, Sayomi was there. Wait, no, Sayomi was appearing there. The fizzle continued and he could see the tips of her fingers and the end of her hair and clothes slowly appearing.

His eyes widened and the concentration he had shattered. The pain started thumping rapidly through him again, and he managed to contain a surprised growl. He also noticed Sayomi seemed to have gone back to normal, looking all over him and asking if he could speak. A low "Wha--" escaped his mouth before he composed himself.

"I... can talk. My chest hurts badly, but... the rest seems to be okay." He looked into her eyes and added: "You were the one who saved me, right...? I thank you, from the bottom of my heart." He said sincerely, nodding a bit to her.

After a second of thought, noticing Jimmy coming to him with aid of his magic, he realized he didn't know the names of the others.

"May I ask your name?" He says to Sayomi, a little before Jimmy arrived.

"My name is Sayomi, and it is very nice to meet you, and it was my pleasure to save you." She said kindly, smiling sweetly to the man, glad he seemed to be okay for the most part. "You should probably rest, we will find some water for you."

Once giving the piece of paper to Da'shi'nal, Rux turned his attention to the those gathering round El Sereno.

"Yes, it would be wise to find water and any other resources we can while the sun is still up," he smiled at Sayomi.

"And Sir, it would be just as wise not to move," he directed at El Sereno, " you could worsen an injury, especially if there is any damage to the spinal cord."

Ibrahime slowly descended the colossal trunk, juggling the need to look for suitable footholds with the more primitive drive not to look down. When she had reached what she deemed to be a safe height from the ground she let go, landing with a stiff grunt as the wind was knocked out of her. She shuffled over to the gathering crowd, arms grasping the back of her weary head expansively in a bid to catch her breath.

"Aye, water's the lifeblood of the jungle," she said, thinking back over the many times in her life she'd had to go thirsty. "Has anyone seen an animal trail of any kind? They almost always meet a body of water at some point. Who knows, maybe there'll be civilisation at the waterfront!"

She spoke grandly, trying to convey an optimism she lacked. Talk of civilisation also pointed her mind towards a more basic social protocol - she hadn't yet given her name to anyone, but now felt like the wrong time to mention it. Hopefully she would be asked it soon, or a time would come when that information was more suitable to volunteer.

(Lets get moving people. I don't have much to do right now, you guys focus on getting somewhere already.

You are a group of people who randomly got transported to a forest with giant trees and apparently giant women who want to eat you and you don't know where you are. What will you do?)

(If I may? Although our characters have all unanimously agreed that they need to find water I think we're just a bit reluctant to take the lead in describing the lay of the land which will play a big impact in the direction of this roleplay. It's quite the responsibility. Maybe you could give us something to go on? Describe any sort of slope or trail?)

After thinking a bit, El Sereno spoke again.

"The bad thing is animal trails are hard to come by if we're too far from water. I think our best bet would be the treetops to look around and see abnormalities in the distribution of the trees. Like a small frame where no trees grow, which would indicate there's a stream or small river."

He turns to look at Sayomi, who is the one that has it easier to climb to the top of the trees. But instead of asking her to do so directly, he takes a moment to think before he screws up his sentence, looking for a roundabout way of asking her for help.

"Hm, have any of you had the time to look around while you were at the trees? Maybe noticed a river or something outstanding in the area?"

After asking that, he takes a deep breath to control the pain. If the others want to find water, it would mean that the group has to move, and to do so, he'd have to gather enough strength to get up and not pass out from pain.

Let that be a lesson to you guys. ;3 If you have any ideas, speak up!)

(Well, as you had planned earlier, they could go up to the trees and see a white tree towering over the others. If they have no other reference in the area, they would most likely be attracted to it, even if it is out of curiosity.
They could also see the absence of trees that point out the presence of a river as Sereno said, maybe a few groups of harpies flying to somewhere so it's obvious its either their home or water, etc.)

Sayomi stood up, noticing his glance to her and taking it as directed to her. Sayomi walked to a nearby tree, easily leaping from branch to branch with surprising balance and sense of timing, reaching the top as she began to look around, finding it an awe inspiring moment to see the forest from so high, it was beautiful.
