Tina, the Grass Naga Pocket_naga_by_xxamaroqxx-d88kn41
Name: Tina
Species: Grass Naga
Age: 18
Sex: Female
Height: 5,6 Inches
Length: 18 Inches
Skin colour: pale
Hair colour: Rusty Brown
Eye colour: Yellow
Scale Colour: Dark green to yellow-green gradient
Other characteristics: Wears flowers as hair acessory, slightly chubby.
Predation: Caution! Approach with extreme care!
Food category: 0.1 - 5 inches

Tina stands 5,6 inches tall and her entire length stretches over 18 inches. Thus, she belongs to the average sized grass nagas of her kind, and likewise her colour palette isn't anything special with green scales, that have a hint of blue near the top and yellow at the bottom. Its colour changes gradually from the top to the underside of her belly scales and goes from dark green to bright. Her human half from the hips upward features pale skin, yellow eyes and rust brownish hair which is usually tied back to a ponytail. She prefers to wear bright colours, preferably something yellow, as it compliments her eyes. Tina is also often seen wearing floran acessories such as flowers which she likes to tie to her head both as decoration and protection against the sun. Being a tiny, her head is slightly larger than average, and often she could be considered younger than she actually is, especcially considering her character traits, but apart from that, she owns the body of a slightly chubby, but not fat young woman. While her upper body doesn't have well developed muscles to show off, her tail is actually rather strong and agile, allowing her to use quick burtsts of speed or even jumping when nagivating.

Background:
Tina grew up as a pet from birth onwards. Her mother was owned by a pet store, and when her egg was laid, it was sold only a few days after. She was bought by a pair of human parents living inside a village in deeper Felarya who intended to make Tina a present for their newborn child, as some sort of pet for a lifetime. Seeing how in Felarya, one cannot die of old age, the same goes for pets and thus, people made it a habit of gifting someone a pet upon birth, so they would grow up and live together for all eternity if possible.
Tina ended up as a gift for a human boy named Ron, and from hatchday onwards, she was in his posession.
Life was simple and happy for them. Ron and Tina grew up together and quickly became best friends as Tina lived in a terrarium in Rons' room and they spent day and night together playing with Rons' toys or reading child books. Even Rons' parents read books for them both during the evenings and told them stories of the vast world that surrounded them. Tina however never went beyond the garden of their house, a fence made sure she wouldn't slither away, but she actually didn't want to leave. Why should she? She got fed by her humans, she had Ron to play with and they were both happy with each other. Besides, Tina didn't knew any other kind of life anyways. Her world was Rons' house and garden, her playmates were ron and his toys. She loved them as they represented tinies that were about the same size as herself and sometimes played family with them, imitating what Ron and his parents were doing with each other. She also played some adventures from Rons' child books, using slingshots or bow and arrows with rubber sucker cups at their tips to bravely defeat the dangerous foes rons' hands and larger puppets represented.
Years went by and they both grew up. Ron and Tina both grew into teenager age and their lifes slowly changed. Ron, who was able to leave the house anytime and actually stayed in contact with friends and grown ups changed more than tina however, and as he started to work for the village he suddenly had to become much more mature very quickly while Tina whose world never changed, stayed a child at heart. She noticed and understood Ron had less time for her now, and was often exhausted from a hard farmers day, and he more and more often refused to play. Tina would ask him about what he did during the day, but it definately wasn't the same as actually being outside, and since that was too dangerous for a little Naga like her, trips to the farm or around the village were an absolute exception. Being alone in her terrarium while Ron and his parents were off at work, Tina kept to herself, trying to read the old child books or playing with his toys by herself. It was also then when she trained her tail, so she'd be able to jump outside her glass prison and move around in his room more easily. Ron didn't mind, but Tina had to promise to never leave his room while they were away and stay clear of the door so she would never get stepped on or hit by the door opening. Slowly however, Tina still felt imprisoned and bored. Having mastered reading and even writing all by herself, the fact that Ron didn't get new toys anymore as he grew beyond that age made Tina feel confined in her life. She'd sleep during the day and wake up at evening and morning, just to be with Ron and have something to do and their happy interactions sometimes made her almost forget how lonely she actually had become. It wasn't pleasant, but that was everyday life, and considering what dangerous world Felarya was, it certainly was one of the better ways to exist as she was well fed and didnt have to fear about getting something to eat or being eaten by herself.
That life would change however when Ron one day brought home a human guest. He had talked about Rebecca before, a lot actually, but only when she came to visit Tina would see Rebecca for the first time. Having heard only good things about her and how much Ron liked her, she expected to get along nicely with her, but their first meeting didn't go quite as planned. Rebecca's parents once were eaten by a giant Naga and ever since then, the girl had a phoia against Nagas and hated their guts. At first, Ron tried to argue, as Tina was totally harmless and cute, but simply seeing her scaly half made Rebecca go mad.
Being in love with Rebecca, Ron made a deal with Tina, so she'd have to hide inside her little cave inside the terrarium while Rebecca was visiting, in return she could stay inside the room whenever Rons girlfriend came over. Reluctantly Tina agreed at first, understanding the Nagaphobia of Rons' girlfriend and his own desires. However, being the couple that they were, Ron and Rebecca spent time together a lot, sometimes even over night, and slowly but steadily Tina went from being Rons' best friend and companion to just a pet. He still fed her, but his mind was with his girlfriend, and his toys were stashed away or sold to younger children in the village while only those tina liked the most were being kept hidden behind the cabinet, so Tina could get and play with them whenever she wanted. However, Ron wasn't interested in playing with Tina anymore, he now played with Rebecca and also the nature of those games changed. Tina instinctively understood what they were doing, being two lovers and tending to each other. It was similar, yet much less innocent, than what Ron did with Tina years ago, but to her, it was a catastrophe. She grew jealous of Rebecca and wanted to be Ron's companion and playmate again, and here she came almost ever day and stole Ron away from her while Tina had to hide and not come out whenever Rebecca was present. Sometimes they made slight attempts at fighting Rebeccas Nagaphobia by getting Tina out and talk to them or slither over Rebeccas hand, but Tina felt like Ron did that more for Rebeccas sake than for her own.
With most of her toys gone and Ron being further away from her than ever, Tina didn't have anything to do at all. She lived like that for a few months, bored, sleeping most of the time and counting the days pass by. Ron fed her and made sure the terrarium stayed clean and regularly put fresh branches and leafes inside, but it became more of a routine than anything. Tina lost interest in Rons' daily life as most often he talked about his time with Rebecca and Tina couldn't stand that person anymore. Yes, she made Ron happy, and Ron once said if Tina really cared for him, she'd be happy he had this wonderful romance, but Tina suffered from it nonetheless. Ron and her argued more often as Tina begged for more attention, and started to cause trouble just for the sake of not being ignored. She started to destroy things Rebecca brought to his room, much to Rons' dismay, but at least he spent time with her that way. Being in her teens herself, she grew more aggressive as well and one day during a common argument over some redundant broken clay cup it accidentally happened: Tina bit Ron.
She bit him, and put all her built up frustration and anger into it that had accumulated over the last few years, and even though he tried to shake her off, she hold onto it. Naturally, Tina is not a poisonous snake and at her size, a bite wasn't a huge deal for Rons' health, but after that, they didn't exchange words for days.

It was then when Tina first thought about leaving for real. She barely knew the world outside, but most certainly everything was better than continueing a life as a forgotten pet snake. She made hints at it at first, mentioning and asking what Ron would do if she were to suddenly disappear, but Ron felt uncomfortable and often evaded her questions. Of course he didnt want to loose her. But she would have to understand how life goes, and she was his pet while he was a person with a life going on, and duties he had to fulfill such as earning money for them to live and caring for his fiancee Rebecca. Tina stopped causing trouble and breaking things as once Ron heard of her doing that for attention, he changed to punish Tina by ignoring her whenever she broke stuff. This time, she would often hide, sometimes for several hours, just to wait and see if Ron would go and look for her. He grew tired of this searching game quickly though as she would reappear sometime soon anyway, and thus stopped doing that. Tina got upset even more and decided to stay away for longer, taking some stuff from her cave inside the terrarium and build her own place between the dusted toys behind the cabinet. She made sure Ron wouldn't see her and only came to drink when he wasn't present, while the food would be left untouched. As a naga, Tina was capable of going weeks or months without food, and seeing how little movement and abundant food she got, she had the fat to go through with this hiding game for days. She wanted Ron to look for her again, and since he stopped searching for Tina a while ago, she prolonged the time away. But if Ron even noticed her disappearing, he didn't mention it when inside his room. Rebecca came over, and when she mentioned Tina being away, Ron just shrugged his shoulders, stating how Tina runs away all the time and would come back eventually, Rebecca wouldnt have to worry. Thinking Tina wasnt inside the room as her food was untouched and she had drunken so little water he didn't notice any missing, he started to talk to Rebecca about how bothersome Tina had become, and the things she heard more or less broke her heart.

The very next night, she came out of her hiding place and jumped up to Rons's desk. The little Naga packed her old slingshot, dusted off the little toy bow with rubber tipped arrows and put them around her back. Then she used the ink jar and a piece of paper to write a goodbye letter. Then she packed a bag full of food and other little things she might need into a little backpack Rons' Mother once stitched together for her. A sewing needle replacing the sword all these heroes from her favourite child books seemed to carry completed her gear. Jumping across the gap between table and bed she kissed her old friend Ron a last goodbye, she slithered over towards the window and jumped into freedom. It took her until dawn to burrow underneath the fence which appeared like the last border she had to cross, and when she broke to the surface, the golden morning sun greeted her, the warm light shining onto a tiny little grass naga who slithered towards it, chasing her hopes and dreams of a better future in this vast giant world.

Abilities:
Tinas race of Grass nagas is not poisonous, but relies on the strength of their tail to constrict their prey and suffocate them. Obviously, Tina never made use of that as she didn't get life food at all, but nonetheless her tail is very well trained and developed, allowing her to use it to large efficiency and even capable of  tossing a tennis ball around with it or propelling herself into the air like a spring, allowing her to make jumps across up to a couple of feet. Being a Naga, Tina is instincitvely able to unhinge her jaw, but rarely does so, unless she wants to make funny faces and grimaces to amuse Ron as she never had the need to swallow anything larger than the carefully cut to size bits of food she was given in her terrarium.
While Tina lacks any kind of experience other than what she read in books, she is relatively good at reading and writing and has surprisingly good aim with her toy bow and slingshot. Her fencing skills are also not too shabby, as long as a giant hand holding another needle between two fingers is considered a serious opponent, but using her rapid movements and agility, Tina is pretty good at striking as quickly and accurate as a cobra, which is commonly a necessary trait for being a good fencer.
Her hiding skills are also well developed and Tina gained a pretty deep understanding of how to use cover and move unseen, both to evade large threads or sneaking about and approaching a target or stealing stuff.
Lastly, if Tina posesses any magic affinities or abilities, she is not aware of them, but again from reading books she posesses a basic knowledge of magic and what it can do, using the child books from her past as reference to the great things magic can accomplish.

Hunting Habits:
Tina is exceptionally skilled at carefully approaching a well filled food bowl, lean over it and then suddenly dig in within the blink of an eye, leaving the unaware meal no opportunity to be left over as she can be quite gluttonous if the opportunity arises. Mercilessly Tina is capable of wreaking havic among the bits of food given to her with blinding speed, swallowing and digesting it to put it to good use in her body until there is nothing left. If needed, she can even do this carefully while stealthed, stealing food from tables unnoticed and even smuggling little crackers from one room to another, hoarding her tasty treasure in a secret hiding place and defending it against little spiders or rodent if needed.

Something to mention, probably the one thing that's allured me is the fact she has red hair and freckles. A sister that went the other direction of evolution but is so cute and tiny with coils!

A funny thing is that the owner respected her enough to have clothes on too xD.

Edit: Hey wait a minute now, in that sense, She should have a better cage then that too! LMAO!

Yeah, she's a pet Naga, so of course the parents will have made sure everyone is pretty well aware of a need for clothes. Would be akward if a young boy had a naked girl in their room. ^^'

Edit: I think that cage is pretty nice and also remember she has the entire room to live in, as the glass terrarium has no roof and she can easily jump in and out. :3 so its bigger than you'd think.

You leave it outside and turn away for a few seconds and it might really vanish on the spot. You just made a naga much happier!
