Nehpalm's journey into Felarya ((open))

Nehpalm laid down on the desk he was sitting on while his mentor continued to chat away about her greatest creation. just hearing Violet Talk on about the portal day in and day out made him sigh and ignored most of the details relating on HOW she even built the portal devise. she had been ranting about it for days... and never even figured out where it even took her while trying it out on a goat or a small mammal but not an actual person. as the morning continued. Neh continued to nap on the desk when he was supposed to sort more boring paperwork. today was his 20th birthday, and was supposed to be off partying instead of being stuck here while his MENTOR got to go out! letting out a huff, Neh lifted up his head and looked around with his blue eyes. with the way his messed up dirty blond hair was. one could tell it was always like that.
"Hmph... already been a whole night and no celebration!" he smirked. looking at the clock "augh... its 7 in the morning already!?" he frowns. thinking on that damned Red headed mentor who was still GONE "what she do? party all night?" Neh lifted himself out from the desk and walked to the device "jeez... sometimes i wish she never perfected this thing!" he kicks the device once. though unintentionally hits the activation button on the bottom left side of the portal frame and it sprung to life! turning it on, a light blue ball of energy the size of a door was created in the center of the frame. lights flickered on and off, and the portal seemed a little unstable. after witnessing a few dozen tests. Neh was used to the portal by now... and started to crumple a few pieces of paper, including his reports! though by the time he realized this... he already witnessed the crumpled paper get tossed into the portal! "oh great! Violets going to KILL me!" he huffed before walking up to the portal... now having second thoughts about this "hmm... she DID say it was too unstable to have humans cross it..." Neh wondered... then smirked "oh PLEASE! she is like 35 years old! and im 20, pretty sure she didn't mean me." he foolishly thought before moving a hand up to the ball of energy. as soon as it touched him he felt that the portal was oddly water like. and it sucked on his arm a bit while he moved in "here goes nothing" he moved more and more. closing his eyes when pressing his own face into the portal... and within a few moments, the portal collapsed. leaving the lab he was in behind. and within the portal Nehpalm fainted and blacked out...

the portal opened up somewhere in a small field of Felarya and dumped the KOed human down onto the tall grass back first, the portal made a few sparking noises, echoing around the area before it collapsed. leaving Nehpalm on this new world on his own. after about a few minutes Neh opened his dazed eyes. trying to get them to refocus while getting up. "man... where am i?" he looks around, rubbing his head while trying to search through the pile of crumpled up papers he had tossed to this world with him. blinking, he noticed the portal he came from was missing! "uh oh..." he looked around even more. trying to figure out where on earth he was at!

Magic rocks.

If You know how, Magic can solve almost any Problem. And if You don't know these Tricks - it's helpful to know someone who does.
Grand Master Valerkan was such a Person. The skillful Magister Supreme however was a great Admirer of rare Sea Shells, which were risky to get, because they live in the Ocean. Not only in great Depths, but as anyone knew: The Oceans here can be pretty dangerous.
No big Deal for Kaela - because the professional Pearl diving Woman was... usually big herself. Almost 110  feet by now. And because she was a pretty exotic looking Woman with her brown Skin, her heavy long and black Hair and her cute short Brows in her nearly asian shaped Face - Valerkan decided to be an Admirer of this former tuvalesian Powerhouse too.
And Kaela - pretty hedonistic as ever - liked that a Lot. So they had a Deal. And now Kaela can be human sized if she wished to. Helpful, if You want to buy Yourself some needful Stuff... like new Clothes. Or if You love to be among People from Time to Time. So a pretty relaxed Kaela in new Jeans Clothes wandered across the Meadows. And no one knew, what 'huge Surprise' she could be...

of course being new to this world completely, and with his mentor's methods, Nehpalm would so blindly move onward ahead to seek help while stuck in an environment he was unfamiliar with. moving into the meadow, he spots Kaela and promptly closes in on what he assumed to be another human like him. of course, he was oblivious to all the magic, and many things that happen in Felarya. and didn't know the possible dangers just for encountering Kaela. but he was beside that and he simply needed as much information as possible. so approaching her seemed like the best option. though while he approached, Neh thought on how to greet her or what to say, though he was obviously noticed before he even got close. once again on second thoughts, what were the chances of her even understanding him!? Neh was after all in a different world, so the chances of that were high. but he wasn't going to back down now! rubbing the back of his head, he simply came up with the common greeting.
"hey there"
... true it wasn't the most best solution giving his current status... but he always thought it to be the best way of starting conversation. and considering Neh didn't know the girl's current intentions, it was the only approach he thought of doing at the time.

Crunch.

A roughly human-sized foot left a surprisingly deep - some would say impossibly so, if they didn't see anything beside the apparition's foot - print in the soft earth of this alien planet. The whining of dozens of small, over-taxed servos accompanied the movement of the... well, one could hardly call it a man, now. Thing will have to do. The thing's other foot descended like a hammer about to slam into an innocuous ingot of metal trapped between it and the anvil which is the earth.

Crunch.

Or, in this case, which is Felarya.

The creature that owned the metallic legs and feet currently leaving a trail of impossible footprints across the surface of Felarya was certainly not a man. Not an ordinary one, at any rate. While the torso was... more or less human, the rest of the body was less so. Crude, heavy cybernetic augmentations had replaced his legs and arms. Odd patches of metal were casually soldered into his abdomen and chest, as well, shining from underneath his tattered shirt. It looked like it had been part of a uniform, but considering whatever 'private bits' the man had were now replaced with cold, hard metal, it was no surprise that he didn't seem bothered by his lack of clothing. Not that he was capable of expression anymore, anyway.

His face had been replaced, too.

What seemed to be a solid block of metal jutted from where his upper lip should have been all the way up to his eyebrows - or where they had been, anyway. A blank, scratched, somewhat rusted face of black metal was all that was left, staring blankly at the trees around him. Occasionally, the thing would twitch. But always, when something alive came too close, within sight, or within earshot, the thing would focus on it until it left the range of his senses again. Despite the physical evidence, it was not blind or deaf. Whether it was mute or not, though, had yet to be seen.

So far, the thing relied on tearing things violently in half to get it's message across, as the blood on it's huge steel digits showed. Tatters of flesh still remained caught in the serrated talons that stretched out from his finger-tips, further dissuading social interaction. What had been the victim of this thing's rage - or self-defense impulses, knowing the appetite of this world's predators - remained uncertain.

What was certain was that, when he reached a clearing in the ever-present jungle in which a human male and female were talking, the thing froze. It's non-existent eyes looked between the two as the heavily-muscled, heavily-tanned organic parts of the thing's body moved in a way that emulated breathing. What it was really doing was, as were most things about this odd creature, uncertain. Perhaps it was just the still-living human mind trying to retain some semblance of it's original form to keep it's sanity.

Then, with no warning, the monstrous, 8-foot-tall metal-and-flesh construct suddenly froze, waiting.

Watching.

The tall Polynesian Woman looked at this new Guest. She herself looked as if she had just left her House - for Shopping, for Example. About 190 cm tall and leaving an Impression like someone who can get accomplished any Task Kaela turned over to this Guy, who seemed to be a bit shy.
Okay - Karla was used to this Kind of Reaction. Many People are shy next to a Woman this tall... So she decided to not show them how tall she really was.
So the trained Koa Woman tried her Best to look not too... 'extra terrestrial', so to say. Her turquoise Eyes observed him with Interest, as she said with her erophonic rough Voice: "Look, who we have here... Let me guess..."
She tilted her Head a bit and smiled: "Can I tell You, where You are? Sure I can. But the really interesting Question is: Will You believe me?"

Nehpalm was a bit shocked to how oddly this female responded to his simple hi. and listened with intent. with a little smirk he smiled at her "believe me... at this point i'll be taking in as much information as possible... and yea... that pretty much sums up what i was going to say actually" he smiled and rubbed the back of his head again "must get a lot of newcomers huh?" he joked... though the back of his mind was telling him that it may be the case. still, this woman was quite a looker. and he should be happy someone like her was actually talking to someone like him! "so erm... where am i exactly? and do you think you could help me get back home?" he asked the girl. feeling a bit nervous for some reason... Neh always did have that good ability to 'Feel' someone or something watching the both of them... and he was getting uneasy because of that said feeling. but for now focused more on this girl he was talking too. nothing bad could be watching them... right?

Clearings were always one of her favorite spots. Well, as long as she was in the trees above them. She casually walked along the thick wooden branches looking down at the two Humans that seemed to be getting along. They looked quite tasty.

Being a Dridder meant that she tended to prefer ambush tactics. She stood at just under 100 feet tall and was starting to get hungry again. Being without her Human companion meant that she was free to indulge in whatever predatory behaviors she wished. And now she wished to confront the two in the clearing.

She casually began walking down the trunk of the tree she had been using to look from. The woman would have an easier time seeing her than the male would. Though at this distance she wouldn't be very easy to see until she got much closer.

((There!))

The slight hiss of pistons and quiet whining of yet more servos accompanied the thing's slight movements as it's head - and the rest of it's body, to a degree - tilted slightly as it watched the two converse. The female seemed very knowledgeable... and something about the way that it acted put the thing in mind of the female predators it had seen and encountered so far. If it could have frowned, it would have. Dan... ger...ous... The organic mind inside the mound of sculpted flesh and metal thought slowly, ponderously. It wasn't designed to function without a master, and thus was slow in it's independent thinking and decision-making.

It focused on the human male as a result. He seemed nervous, judging by his heartbeat - something the cyborg could detect even at this range - and his speech patterns. He also seemed new to this world... something like the machine-monster himself. Albeit the thing had been on Felarya for longer - long enough to make a mess of one or two inquisitive and unprepared predators...

Creak.

The servos and pistons hissed and whined in complaint as the thing turned toward the source of the noise. A huge spider leg pressed against a large tree trunk nearby... and turned out to be connected to a massive spider-woman. Yet another predator, of course. Somehow, she hadn't noticed him.

That was probably because, thanks to the raw amount of cybernetic enhancement he'd gone through, he barely had any essence with which to appear to a Felaryan predator. Most un-augmented humans would appear like beacons in comparison.

With that in mind, the machine-beast glanced between the huge predator and the two largely unsuspecting humans. If it had a lip, it would have bitten it. New... comer... weak... def... end...? It thought, slowly as always. Possi... ble... oper... ator...?

Another creak reminded him that the dridder was still moving, and rather quickly for a spider-woman descending a tree. One mechanical hand whirred into a clenched fist, before the thing dug it's talon-like feet into the ground and launched itself out from the tree line and into the clearing.

"Danger!" He called out, in a definite male voice, albeit it was very tinny in quality, and came out as a flat drone. The sound came from a speaker somewhere in the metal block that made up his face. "Threat inbound!"

It dug one foot into the ground as it approached the two, sliding to a halt and pivoting to face where the dridder was. His mechanical arms spread out, the blood-stained talons flexing in anticipation for the coming fight. It was clearly apparent that he wasn't a threat to the two humans.

Yet.

Kaela´s Reflexes as a trained Koa* did let her react like a Soldier, taking Care of an Embedded War Correspondent - she took the Guy with her behind another Tree, watching this... Somehow she knew somthing like that - the Corporate Troops had such Things. There they were called DESTROIDs. A DESTROID does exactly this - he destroys dangerous Things, while taking Care of others.
"You stay here." Kaela whispered to the new Guy and looked to this CyBorg - and the... whatever. Being in Felarya herself for a While, she had seen many weird Things - especially at the Shoreline or in the Ocean. But this...
Kaela just stood there, sighing: "Gimme a Break..."
Something wicked this Way came...

* Koa: Polynesian Term for a Tribe Warrior. They prefer Hand-to-Hand-Combat, so pissing off a polynesian Guy could be a bad Idea - especially if he has mastered LUA, a very nasty Sort of... uhhm - `Wrestling´.

Nehpalm acked while being pulled back away from the intended danger... then looked at the two, first at the girl, then at the... mech like thing "what exactly..." he muttered then gasped when seeing what they were tying to protect him against... or at least what he thought they were doing at the time. "a... DRIDER!?" he gasped. seeing the SIZE on her "i thought they could only get to a few feet tall!" he shivered. never seeing THIS size before "where the heck am i that makes them THAT big!?" he never did get his answer from the girl. though listened and fell back from the intended possible fight

"Well... it depends on the Feet, they have been measured with." Kaela smiled cheerless and she continued: "I have a Friend, who mentioned the Idea that we are the ones being small around here - but given the Density of Water and Air - and the Height of some average Plants, this Thing over there is a bit big, I must admit. And we... are not."

The new and improved Kaela:

Then Kaela smiled again - and said to the Stranger: "Well, this Land here is called Felarya - and here... some absolutely weird Things are going on. For Example: Much Beings here have huge Proportions as You can see - and many of them happen to be female, nude or very attractive - or all three at once. Then there is the Fact, that most of these Monster-Missies obviously tend to do just one Thing: Eating almost anything and anyone. So I am looking for what´s the `normal´ Life about around here, I mean People like... uhhm - us."
Looking back to the Destroid (Destroying and Android = Destroid) and this so-called Dridder she mentioned: "But let´s see, what is happening next... Could be interesting. I think... this `Black Widow´ could be poisonous - and have some `Lasso Tricks´ at Hand. So being careful is not the baddest of Ideas, I presume..."

The Dridder stopped in front of the Destoid and looked to the two smaller beings behind him. "I am venomous actually, but you have to give me a reason to bite you. And sadly no, I don't have any lasso tricks. And you really shouldn't generalize us like that. Most predators just eat to survive, only a few of us eat just for the sake of eating. I just happen to be hungry right now." She said placing a hand on her stomach.

The to-be operator fled with the possible predator. That wasn't a good sign at all, and the thing - it was not, in fact, a 'destroid' - briefly turned toward the pair. It's eyeless face focused on the female, fixing her with a sightless glare. Again, the talon-edged fingers flexed as she went on whispering into the other human's ear. To say that the sculpted mass of flesh and metal distrusted her was an understatement.

Then the spider-woman spoke up.

Not... venom... ous... no... lasso... easy... target... The whirring and whining of servos accompanied the thing rolling it's shoulders as it sized the huge predator up, before it spoke through it's vox-coder once again.

"Find food elsewhere, threat." The machine-man-monster droned in it's same, steady monotone. "Or be terminated."

One had to wonder what this thing had maimed - or outright killed - before now that left it stained so.

Neh still was a bit shocked at all the information. he didn't just teleport into a new world... he teleported into one where humans like him were on the lower end of the food chain. looking at Kaela then at the mech, gulping "i... dont intend on getting eaten" he backed up a bit though grew assured that the drider couldn't use webbing as a lasso as Kaela intended. and that he was behind the two. he wouldn't get harmed by her at least. "by the way... the name's Nehpalm... or Neh if you prefer" he told the strange warrior like girl Kaela. smiling a bit reassuringly then turning back his attention to the Drider. it oddly reminded him of something... a movie back in his world though he couldn't place why... was it the front legs? he shook his own head and stopped thinking about the being who wanted him as a meal no doubt. "isn't there anything a little more filling then me or her?" he pointed to Kaela. "like... some large sized bugs? no offence" he quickly told her. rubbing his head again nervously as he witnessed the mech talk about the drider as a massive threat... and didn't really blame it... though grew curious as to who's side it was really on... or did it just assume targets by threat level? either way it seemed to be on his and Kaela's side for now.

Poss raised an eyebrow. "Dridders my size don't eat insects. Beings like you are our main prey. And we eat plants too of course. It takes work to keep this figure." She said as she showed off her torso area. Neh would notice her sizeable bust and rather slim midsection. He might have found it pretty cute actually.

The operator continued to talk to the threat. That was an issue that would need to be fixed. Once the threat was... dealt with, of course. The thing tensed up, looking ready to leap forward. Though, frankly, looking at it's bulk, it was impossible to see it being able to jump more than a foot in the air. Much less several dozen to reach the dridder's vitals.

"Final warning." The cyborg droned. This time, there was a slight note of menace in it's voice. "Find food elsewhere."

It's... ignor... ing... me... tha... t's... it's... last... mist... ake.

"Heh! Somehow I begin to like this Iron Guy!" Kaela smiled. Indeed - she looked a bit out of Place here, too. If it wasn´t for her quite exotic Appearance she would easily blend in in any modern City.
"Neh is it then, right? I am Kaela. And don´t worry - despite `Spider Woman´ over there I prefer Sea Food and Stuff. Because I have to take Care of THIS Body." she shoved back the Sleeve of her Jeans Jacket and showed Neh an impressive Biceps - with some dark blue Tattoos. Easy to imagine this Woman to have an impressive and athletic, longlimbed Body, without losing any of her female Attributes. But Kaela still looked at `Steely Dan´ and the Spider... Arachno-Thingie... Dridder, as it obviously was be called: "But in my current State this wouldn´t help us. Just now her Legs are longer than mine - and they... outnumber mine, too."

Neh at first blushed when he looked closer at the drider's human half. keeping quet at first when seeing the three getting more and more battle ready, particularly the machine, he looked then at Kaela when she explained herself. then showed off her own body build.
"i..." he looked away blushing. "think we should run while the mech distracts her if you dont think we can take that drider on..." he advised, not that he wanted to offend Kaela's skill, but rather for the sake of HIM not being eaten during the fight. he started to imagine the drider managing to get a hold on him... those fangs piercing his skin lightly though it would be easier to send him down her throat, and shivered at the thought "geez... the circle of life around here is NOT in my favor." he muttered quietly. unsure where to run to if he should decide to.

Now Kaela realized, she still haf her left Hand at Neh´s Back, pushing him down a bit - so she blushed and released him: "Oops - Sorry! Well, if You want - You can run away, if You like - I will not stand in Your Way..."
Then she looked back to this CyBorg and said: "But if anyone goes to fight for me - I´ll have to support him the Best I can. Otherwise I won´t be a real Koa anymore."
So Kaela held her Hand over the Ground - and pulled it back, sucking with her Palm a thin Column of pure and crystal clear Water out of the humid Ground. And with a Glass-like Sound this Water seemed to crystalize out into a simple, but massive and molecular sharpened Bihand-Blade, reflecting the Light like an optronic Mirror for Lasers: "This will do fine - what is able to cut a Tree down is also good for a Leg or two - and the Things attached to them."

(Hope you guys don't mind if I join in. I'm new here. Need to get some character development going. Test out what works and what doesn't. Things like that.)

Sylvae (Seal-Vay) was sleeping nearby when she was suddenly awoken by an alarm: a warning to stay back. She slowly rose to a sitting position, then stretched her arms and tail in unison. The naga slowly slithered behind a tree and poked her head out, watching the events unfold with great interest.

((Welcome new people! Its great to have more people around here! If possible, I would like to join. I shall play Tyler, a 5'7" merc who hears something, and comes to help. This won't relate to any other Rp i am currently in though.))

*Tyler hears some sort of commotion in a nearby feild, i go over and investigate to help. Getting closer, I see a giant dridder and a normal, somewhat confused human, her likely meal. I had my Desert Eagle on me and pull it out. I shout at the Dridder* Hey You! Spider butt! What do you think your doing?

((Uh, Dragon? Currently it's just my character (the 'destructoid' thing) out in the open facing off with the dridder. The other two humans - Bandur and Nep's characters - are hiding at the treeline and making lot's of conversation for people that are hiding. And then there's a naga (Doctor Pony's character) of indeterminate size hiding somewhere ))

(Yes - because it´s a Difference between Hiding  - she already saw us, this was the Reason for her approaching us - and `out of Reach´, because of `Mean Machine´ and narrow Bushes and Trees. She still is a Dridder - not Paul Bunyan.)

Then Kaela saw this new Guy - and began to smile again. Wearing para-military Clothes and still armed with a Gun... this can´t be true: "I know him... He still is alive? I bet this is his special Ability!"

neh felt the hand on his back. and gnerviously looked away "so... i guess i'll just find some safe ground to watch... considering that i lack a weapon." he gave a poker face when seeing everyone starting to bring out weapons. he moved back to the same tree a naga was watching from. not knowing she was right there "i think i'll be safe while they fight..." he spoke. watching intently just to see who would end up wining.
