What if something happened to Karbo?

So i've been thinking, what would happen to Felarya should something happen to Karbo? Would it just cease to be? Or would we continue it on? Obviously, the manga story would be left unfinished and we would never know Lea's fate (I hope i'm not the only one who cares about this story). French Snack would probably keep cranking out stories, String Fountain would probably keep doing his Felarya drawings too.. Exc. But, would there even be a community after this? Would any of Karbo's inner circle of friends take over? Or would Felarya cease to be?

Morbidly I was thinking of this yesterday. Discworld is in Chaos right now because Terry Pratchett never chose a successor and left it all to his daughter it seems but she doesn't seem to have any passion for the mini series or books. Likely it'll take years before she opens it up to other authors and looks into finding somebody to head it's further development or write prequels and such like the Star Wars EU thrived on, till Disney came along.

But back on track: Karbo should think about several heirs. Why was Babylon 5 such a good show that could avoid cast drama,budget cut backs and other things that always kill TV shows? Cause the creator had a contingincy plan for even the most unthinkable RL monkey wrenches. Thus Karbo should have three or four heirs who should each choose one apprentice after a month of research. In addition Karbo should give The Four Guardians each a password to the Wiki and promote them to admins on the forum. This will ensure Felarya is always in direct control by somebody and we don't end up watching the wiki shrivel up and die.

Now I want to state that's just a suggestion. If Karbo and French both perished we'd lose Admins here and Felarya might seem listless BUT if the determination of the fans is strong enough? Then it would be saved in another form. Likely see a micro civil war over who controls it ultimately but many spin offs and new factions rise up and fall. It would be chaos but when the dust settled Felarya would emerge I'm confident. A new, possibly sexier creature.

Silly question.

It would die, of course. It's like asking what will happen with a song of ice and fire series if george rr martin would die. If he dies, his ideas dies with him, as well as his projects. People may be chosen as successors or else, but it would inevitably diverge from the main goal set by the creator and would make no sense anymore.

Now, it's not very pleasant talking about someone's possible death when they are in their prime time, it's even insulting. Let's just hope Karbo looks at the two sides of a road before crossing it

As for the rest of us, we would scatter off, like jews or romans when the empire fall, form new communities and start other projects.

The community infrastructure is too weak to survive without Karbo, not enough artists and passionate people to fill the void.

Srsly tho... no, it won't go on without him. Without him, almost none of the contributors has any interest in Felarya as a whole.

Aww, you beat me to it! So Karbo, how does one get to Felarya? I'd honestly be better off there than here. Hopefully i'm not alone in thinking that.

Yeah, it would have made it more fun to be here. If I had decent drawing skill I'd try to do it, although I have yet to get a grasp on human anatomy. (Nailed Demon anatomy though).

I couldn't find the Alice one though.

I wonder what a Menysssan-run US would look like? Probably portals to Hell and demons everywhere, kinda like the aliens in Duke Nuke em Forever.

I kinda find it odd how above it is listed as an issue of no internet. I don't see the problem. Internet is nice, but is not needed as much as modern people think it to be. Personally, i find it liberating to take a stroll in the woods, or perhaps camp out for a weekend on Holiday. Honestly, Felarya would be a dream for me as well, just think of all the discoveries, adventure, and fun!
