| I just heard about this in class yesterday. I have someone in my class that just won't stop talking, so the teacher only lets him make 3 comments per day. The only reason I have for explaining all of this is because the last one he made was, "Did you hear? They found a bigfoot body and are unveiling it tomorrow!" I got the feeling it might show up on the forums. | |

Just a guess, but I'm going to say it's a hoax. - Quote :
- Mr Dyer, 31, runs a business that offers Bigfoot tours of Georgia, raising suspicions that the “discovery” is just a marketing stunt.
Rick Dyer is one of the two men who allegedly discovered the body, along with his pal Matthew Whitton. - Quote :
- Tom Biscardi, a Bigfoot “expert” who has inspected the carcass and claims that it is genuine, also has a financial interest in the myth, selling Bigfoot merchandise from his website www.searchingforbigfoot.com.
This isn't suspicious at all, even though they went immediately to a self-proclaimed expert with the discovery instead of an actual scientist. - Quote :
- Mr Dyer and Mr Whitton posted a video on YouTube in which a man identified as scientist Dr Paul van Buren endorses their Bigfoot discovery.
Oh, wait. Maybe there actually is something here... - Quote :
- He has since been revealed as Mr Whitton's brother, who has no scientific qualifications.
... Or not. EDIT: Also, the fact that they promised to hold a press conference where DNA evidence would be presented and the press would get a look at the body might seem to back their claim, until one realizes that the press conference was scheduled for August 15th. It's now the 17th, and we haven't heard much more about that conclusive DNA evidence. Doesn't anyone wonder why? | |
