| This is just a small idea for now about yet another district of Negav. We all know that there are no less than 200 different religions in Negav alone. So, why not develop the different churches and temples, as well as gather them in one section of Negav's entry to avoid confusion? I'll add what I have in mind later because I'm busy. | |

| I agree, good idea. But I think it should not be all in one district. The churches would likely be spread out all over the place. But yeah, let's describe the religious practices of the various religions we have. | |

I agree as well, I just put district because it's part of Negav.

| Here's some ideas for specific locales.
The House of a Thousand Suns
The House is the centre of the worship of the god Oth on Felarya. It is a massive, imposing building, with a large dome and even more massive spire. It's outsides are burnished with gold and carved with intricate patterns. The central, circular, Theatre of Truth is where the preachers give their word to the masses of Felarya. However, the building works as much more than just a cathedral - within are the many offices and other facilities that the religious officials of Oth use to organize their Felaryan base. It is interesting to note that while the building appears to be built of only stone, it has many highly technologically advanced devices and functions concealed within it. Paranoid Negavians claim that the Othemites can spy on them from secret cameras located on the spire...
Sanctum of the Shining Star (Already set up)
Khord's Vault
Khord's Vault is mostly a rumour. People claim that there is a small underground complex in Negav where the disciples of Khord meet. Any attempts to locate it have failed or ended with the detectives vanishing.
The Shrine of the Circle Path
The Shrine is a small, circular building, with a circular courtyard within it, containing a small garden. This innocuous construction is the place where Negavians who follow the way of the Circle Path can meet to meditate. However, since the Circle Path is more of a philosophy than a religion, the Shrine is more of a small community centre. The heads of the building tend to keep it hushed up that their creed was inspired by the beliefs of the Jotun, who are admittedly a predator race.
The Child Tree
The Child Tree is an interesting Negavian landmark. It is a tall, gnarled tree that was claimed by the Arborian Laborists to have been grown from a seed from the Great Tree. The tree itself is, ironically for it's name, very old. To protect it, a multileveled tower shaped building was constructed around it. The building has since become the centre of worship for the Laborists.
The Elven Temple
Elves are a small minority within Negav and their strong racial consciousness has caused most of them to coalesce into an area that is known colloquially as "The Elven District" which takes up a small part of Negav as a whole, though it is a strong centre of the Elven Culture. In the middle of the district is the Elven Temple, housing multiple shrines to various Elven gods. Though some, (mostly Othemites) consider this a pagan place, the Magiocrats have deals with leading elf mages and they try to keep the Elf district safe, though separate.
Pillar of Klonk
Believed to have actually served a different purpose, the Pillar of Klonk has been taken over by the priests of the god of falling objects. The pillar is a large structure sitting in the middle of a prominant square. Stairs lead to the top, where there is a small shrine and balcony. From this vantage point, the priests drop things on passer-bys. Though many citizens complained after having something hard land on their head, the Magiocrats claim it is a religious matter and stay out of it. People would avoid the square all together, except for the fact that the objects dropped are entirely random - lucky people may get to catch delicious fruit or a sack of coins.

Especially the Klonk thing.

| The Church of Lathea
The church of Lathea is an imposing building with the appearance of an abbey. It reflects the time when the great goddess gave refuge to the persecuted people in the antique period of Shinnos. It is not just a church, but a refuge were people live there in a community and respect the life of every creatures in the world. Their religion prevents them from delivering lethal harm to a living creature. It possess two large dormitory, a library, a dinning hall, a knight's quarter, a classroom and the church itself. Although Lathea has little influence on the natives of Felarya, the immigrants of Shinnos sees it as their home.

| The Wall of Alacti
The Wall of Alacti is a place where people who have concerns for their loved ones can go to. It is common for family who have a relative in the jungle to go and tape a piece of paper on it, write their name on the wall, or anything they can think of to do, in hopes that their loved one returns safely.
The church itself is the home to a group of optimists, and whereas the church itself may not be too big, the large wall on the side of the church has great cultural significance.

| The Church of Felarya
A rather... eccentric group, to say the least. They don't believe that they go to any afterlife when they die. Rather, they believe they've already reached it. A land where there's no disease, you heal miraculously quickly, is filled with magic, and populated by all kinds of fantastic creatures? It's easy to see how some may have come to believe Felarya is Heaven, or the Promised land, or etc. For the most part, this religion is composed of people who came from other realms where such things are not the norm. These people believe the creatures of Felarya to be divine, and that to be devoured by one is the greatest achievement one can earn.
For obvious reasons, the amount of people practicing this religion is typically low.

| I got an idea lifted partly from Terry Pratchett's Discworld.
Temple of the Unknown God There are thousands of gods worshipped on Felarya, and a nearly infinite amount worshipped throughout the multiverse. It would be impossible for Negav to cater to all the various religious affiliations of those who dwell within it's walls via there own temples. As such the Temple of the Unknown God was constructed in order to give worshippers of these lesser known deitys a place to pray.
As well as attracting its intended clientele, the Temple of the Unknown God has also attracted many individuals who would not ordinarily be associated with religion. These folks are the Temple's most common visitors, people who accept that there is some greater force at work in the world, but are unsure as to what its exact nature is. Sinners, lost souls, those with questions, and those seeking the solace of the divine, often come to the temple, praying to no deity in particular, but seeking something they cannot explain.
The Temple itself is one of the largest in Negav, and is a Hodgepodge of religious imagery and architecture, as if someone chopped up various temples and churches and stuck them together in a hodgepodge fashion. No body is quite sure when it was originally built, or how many renovations, or add ons it has undergone. What is certain however is that it has a steady flock of visitors and pilgrims, hoping to find some measure of absolution.

Awesome, if unoriginal. - JohnDoe wrote:

(They count as lesser known deities, right?) Nah, Demon Worshippers as well as worshippers of the strange space gods, and elder things, have their own district and series of temples. If one is looking to open up a new church, never fear, as these buildings have a high turnover rate, with entire congregations mysteriously disappearing, going insane, turning into teacups, etc. on a regular basis.

So I'm guessing most steer clear of the Church of Cthulhu then.
