We all love 'em, and they never get old. CLASSIC GAMES. (2000 or earlier.) If you want to post or talk about your favorite classics, this is the place.

I will always love the original Spyro trilogy for the playstation. A true masterpiece for Universal Games.

I also dig Gex, the biggest smart-ass, wise-crackin' gecko who will ever know.

I loved Spaceway 2000, an old mac SHMUP game with decent graphics and fun gameplay.
Also Tubular worlds was fun, it's a side scrolling space shooter/weird space like stuff with 2p capabilities. It's available for download free on the net.

And...Super Metroid. Hail Ridley

Super Metroid, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past... Mmm, memories of my childhood.

I do find it funny that Spyro is considered a classic now. For me it's more pre-1995 before it gets the nostalgia factor. The stuff I consider really classic is the old NES games. Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Street Fighter 2, Contra... It's crazy that as much as the franchises have improved, they really haven't changed at the core.

Are they impressive nowadays? No, but they're still fun.

Super Mario world on the SNES. I still play that game ^_^

Those are my favorites.

Megaman X never gets old for me, I still replay the games every so often! Ye olde Sonic games too, I'm talkin back on the Sega were great...too bad that system died though on me. I also find myself replaying Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar: Eternal Blue currently, original playstation rpg games. Not so widely known but decent rpgs.

Currently playing Final Fantasy Adventure (Gameboy), the first game of the Mana series. I still find it charming even the graphic has been out of date. ^^

Secret of Mana, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Castlevania 4, Megaman Classic 7 and Megaman X... connect to my childhood and the most happy moment of my family, when they played these SNES games while I was watching them XD

Oh...and my very first game boy game: pokemon silver.

I don't own it but...
Battletoads. That game is insane.

Yes, definitely. Especially Broodwar, it's a really good expansion.

Also, homeworld 2.
The mods for that game are great. Especially Tactical Fleet Simulator.

Pokemon stadium comes to mind.
