Great stuff Very Happy The Imoreith Tundra bio is about what I had imagined XD Great, really, and your animals are awesome. Those predators are pretty frightening, Winged cats, bear-frog-things, giant ravens, really neat. I really love the Malyra animals, though. The role-reversals for the Kensha and Duiker are really awesome, and I love how ya tied the Snake-Ape to that Bigtail rumor I posted a while ago XD

Bigtail's technically already on the wiki, I believe, under Lore

Here is something for the Legends.

The Great Deep-Ways

Though not many surface dwellers know it, in many places there are mighty cities and civilizations right under their feet. The Terra Elves have a few such places beneath the ground of Felarya, some larger and some small. For the most part, they remain unconnected - there is, however, a large system of small tunnels across many areas of Felarya.

Once, in the past, two great Terra Elf Cities, one located under the Elifga Valley, another located under Frost Peak, came up with a plan for a massive tunnel to be dug between their two cities. This way they could transport large amounts of goods, quickly and even move their formidable war golems. Many opposed the plan to make a tunnel large enough for a predator to use, but the engineers were assured that there would be enough patrols and weapons to keep this project safe.

The tunneling process was long and dangerous. Though this tunnel was finished, the large amounts of trade only lasted for a short time. Eventually the tunnel simply became too dangerous for mass use. The Terra Elves realized it was far too large to patrol effectively. Today it is mostly an empty, haunted, place. Still, it is often used by small parties of adventuring Terra Elves, or even adventurers from above ground. The tunnel connects to many of the smaller Terra Elf tunnels across Felarya, with multiple ways to get inside - though most very well hidden. This tunnel is a very fast way to traverse the distance, though one must come prepared for underground travel and be very stealthy to avoid attracting something nasty.

While many have heard this tale, few have heard of two other failed tunnel projects. The grand scheme of the tunnels was to have a triangle connecting cities beneath Frost Peak, Elifga Valley and the Sandfall Maze. Only the mentioned Frost Peak - Elifga Valley tunnel was ever completed.

The tunnel going south from the Elifga valley ran into building trouble from the start. They were forced to circle the tunnel around the fairy kingdom, due to the large chasm. This led the tunnel under a series of Tonorion hives. No matter how many different routes were tried, or ways to repeal the monsters, construction was forced to a halt. It never resumed.

The Tunnel from Frost Peak to Sandfall Maze ended abruptly for mysterious reasons. Everything was reportedly going fine, until the workers tunneled under the Ascarlin Mountains. Ever one of them vanished, along with many of the search parties sent out. One search party did return and reported what they had found. The end of the tunnel was sealed and further digging banned.

These partial tunnels supposedly still exist today, along with abandoned equipment, much of excellent quality. Some Terra Elves today still talk of completing and reinforcing these Deep-Ways, completing the grand connection. Older Terra Elves know better. There are some places on Felarya one should simply not go.

It's a great idea Razz
I see it more as a sub-zone of sort rather than a legend though. Also I imagine the distance would be smaller or otherwise it would be a truly pharaonic work ^^;
but it's really well described and though off and it develop nicely the undeground of Felarya. Great job ^_^

Heres some more, inspired by recent stories.

Legend - Jallas Amar

Genies, as magical beings, are attracted to Felarya above other worlds. However, despite their greater numbers, relative to other worlds, very little is known about them. Adventurers often stumbled across a lamp or some other receptacle, rub it, and summon a genie. The genie gives out an alloted number of wishes (Genies have found that humans are gullible enough to think they only have three wishes with them at a time. They generally carry a bit more than that.) After they have given out the wishes, they vanish, leaving the human to the rewards (or consequences).

But where do these Genies go? Where do they come from? The only knowledge comes from a very dusty old tome found only in the Venmys-Pieaug Library.

According to this book, so many Genies came to Felarya in years past, that they built themselves a city, in order to live comfortably away from the rest of Felarya. This city is said to float over a desolate part of Felarya with little inhabitants - most believe the Akaptor desert. This is the city of Jallas Amar, a floating wonderland of elegant spires, minarets and towers, crammed together on the floating rock. Here, Genies trade and construct wishes, their source of power. They also create a variety of lesser magical creatures to use as servants for various tasks.

Genies are, however, proud creatures and having so many living so close together can lead to tensions. However, it is very difficult for a Genie to actually kill another Genie. Furthermore, ancient law has harsh punishments for murder. Thus, Genies tend to dispose of their rivals by shoving them into objects like lamps and tossing them down into Felarya. This is a horrible punishment and very humiliating - even if a human or other creature comes and rubs the lamp, the Genie laws also state that they must reward their rescuers with wishes - and a Genie wanting to fight his way back into his city will need all the wishes he can get. This would seem to explain why Genies are so stingy with their wishes and strangely bitter about performing them.

Legend - The Gate of Stories

To get to the high Elifga Valley, there is one pass that all must take. And in this pass is a small clearing, surrounded by carved wooden poles. While seemingly innocuous, this is a place of great importance and power - The Gate of Stories.

It is customary for Jotun and any other travelers, either in or out of the valley, to stop here and tell tales. This is from the belief that a deity or deities make their home here - they enjoy the stories and will give blessings of luck and fortune to those that honour this tradition.

While many consider this a legend, if an endearing one, others take it very seriously. Some people will arrange parties to take them to the Gate of Stories, where they will spend days reciting an epic tale, in hope of a particularly epic blessing. Others will attempt to find the greatest stories in existence and gather them to tell here.

Regardless of the truth of this legend, the Gate is also important as it is sort of a neutral ground - predators and prey, of any religion, take care not to attack each other here. The spirits hate having their stories interrupted.

The Fucking Shark

The Fucking Shark is a large, predatory fish found in Jadong Lake and the lower stretches of the Jewel River. It is similar to Earth sharks, though usually on the larger side, though it tends to be stockier and less streamlined. The Fucking shark is also known for coming in interesting shades of pink and purple. The Fucking Shark was named for the famous, (or infamous) and apparently quite stunning explorer Désirée von Fucking, a determined zoologist and anthropologist (although she sadly disappeared near Jadong Lake, the place of her studies).

Despite its name, the Fucking Shark is actually relatively harmless. It preys on mostly small fish and can be quite friendly an affectionate, though this animal is not one of the brightest. They are actually quite friendly to humans, though are a naturally shy creature. Due to its slow and sluggish nature, it is often caught and eaten by larger predators, such as mermaids. They are also a quite plentiful creature, leading mermaids to use them for a variety of rituals, most famously the mermaid ritual of declaring war.

Negav Faction - The Union

Though the various official and administrative factions of Negav attempt to play down this fact, Negav has an active and healthy criminal element. Some do it for fun, some for wealth, some because they are desperate and some, like the disciples of Khord, for religious purposes. There is a constant quiet struggle. Long ago, it was realized that it would be difficult to get rid of all the criminals, but an attempt is made to keep them "underground", both figuratively or literally. Most assume the criminal elements, unlike their opponents, to be be entirely disorganized.

This is not entirely true. Over time, an organization known only as The Union has taken control over many criminal groups in the city, often through threats and murder of previous leaders. The Union itself makes sure that it cannot be traced. No one is sure but it is estimated such a group must be extremely wealthy due to the extortion rackets, blackmail and theft it runs all across the city. The worst affected area of the city is the Pit, where only the bravest or most dedicated law officers operate. Exactly who runs the Union is a mystery. Their main operations are extortion and blackmail, keeping close tabs on both members and those that have been "recruited" to join the larger operation. Law officers have managed to take out smaller gangs, but the Union itself remains disconnected and elusive. It's only trace is it's symbol, scrawled around Negav for reasons unknown. It is a bloody red hand holding a dagger, on which an eye is impaled. Wether this is wishful thinking or a threat is unknown.

Negav Faction - The Adventurer's Guild

Though the focus of its enterprise naturally lies outside of Negav, the Adventurer's Guild does have business within Negav. It also has quite a bit of clout due to the power of many of its members and the fact that it is an important part of the Negavian trade in treasure.

The Adventurer's Guild is most concerned with organizations they feel are detrimental to adventurers. They have campaigned resolutely against organizations like MUST when they feel there are dangerously inferior goods. They have rivalries with other expeditionary organizations like the Explorer's Guild.

Besides this, the Adventurer's Guild has a lot of its power from strategic alliances. Many members of the Isolon Fist are Adventurer Guild veterans and, inversely, many retired Isolon Fist members go on to work as advisers to the Guild. Though some members of the Guild resent this close political connection, the more pragmatic realize this is the way the Guild can survive. Due to the varied nature of members of the Adventurer's Guild occasionally the Magiocrats will hire out a member for more specialist work.

Negav Faction - The Elven Council

Elves are a minority in Negav, but an influential and vocal group. Though they often try to separate themselves in their own district, they still feel that they have an investment in Negav. They are represented by The Elven Council, an elected group of Elves who attempt to represent their people to the leadership of Negav. They hold more power than would be apparent for the simple reason that Elves are good mages. Thus, there is always a small but vocal part of the Magiocrats that also hold a place on the Elven Council. Many elves are also part of the Isolon Fist and other magic-oriented organizations. The Elves also give a lot of magical resources and help to the Magiocrats and, despite their own interests, always try to stay on the good side of the Magiocrats.

Negav Faction - The Ascarlinians

The Ascarlinians are a club of the wealthiest Merchants and Bankers in Negav. Their title nickname comes from the fact that they make no secret of their wealth, being able to make purchases in the expensive Ascarlin. Their wealth is so great that they essentially control the greater economy of Negav. Since they are the richest, they believe that they must know the most about handling money and feel obligated to run the economy. There are many, many smaller Merchant and Craftsmen Guilds in Negav, but they all operate under the umbrella of the Ascarlinians.

Though a loose organization, this group does hold a lot of actual power through the Private military and mercenary organizations they hire. They are often an annoyance to the Magiocrats and the Vishmitals, for whenever any problem rises in Negav they claim they have the answer and want their views used. They particularly fight and distrust with the Vishmitals, due to the fact that they are originally foreigners to Negav.

Hmm, your ideas about negav factions made me realise that MUST inc would be a faction as they are a very large corporation.

The Ascarlinians, I'm not sure about, It seems to me that those people would be running the merchant guild. As for the Union, well we've had discussions on organised crime...

The thing is that large scale organised crime is just too big to fit through to loopholes.
The magiocrats and Vishmatals have really good control of the city. THe place I can see this working is in the Pit, but it'd have to stay there. They could possibly act as a middle man for the small gangs that operate in the city to sell their stuff, but if they tried to move their operations into the city then it's just not happening. When an organisation gets that big it needs a proportionately large income to support itself. Since the places to get the goods is at the rich nobles, merchants and wizards establishments it's just not going to happen, since as soon as they catch on that it's organised they'll take steps to eradicate it simply because they have the money, they can use their money to keep their money. AS discussed in the organised crime thread, crime is going to lack magic support and that will be it's downfall.

You're assuming that the leaders of the Union are non-magical, poor criminals. It's focus is also not to increase crime, but bring crime profits to them.

Still, I envision it as something that only has real power in the underground sections of Negav, with a more subtle, observant influence above.

well how says the sindacit is working only in that one city they could have a small branch there and in some other citys and they could have maigc users from around felarya maybe even have braches in the faerie citys and other places even in the far weast. But not have a true leader more like a losely nit bunch of difrent small groups tradeing and dealing with each other that forms a larger network. So if one gang is busted a new gang or another one would just replace it in a few days. Dealing in slaves, artafcats, weapons, and drugs. (not sure i what traficting is done so i listed what black markit deals in in real life.)

What if the union wsa secretly supported by other Negavian factions? It would be very helpful to, for example, the Ascarlinians to have a large group of murderous thugs on side. Also, predators lurk outside the gate at Ur Sagol to prey on the people who go through it, who says that criminals don't do the same around Negav?

Hows to say that serten preditors dont work with the crimles. Think how easys meals would be if a gaint naga centor neko or someother giant prediter the crooks git the loot the prediter git the witnesses. Pluse the crooks don git blamed if a naga eats a caravan. Or even scaryer a group of preditors act as bandits eating there victomes and selling there belongings. Greed is not just a human ailment...... Vivins Lust proves that the large preds can suffer human failling. (no offeance ment i like Vivin but its the truth.)
