Trek through the whispers

"Yeah, that might be a good i..." Baras would have finished his sentence if it hadn't been for the shifting that Tyren was talking about. His only response was to press a button on his gauntlet, which made the floating sphere pop out two turrets from it's side.

"Hold your fire, Baras." Tyren said calmy as he waited for the creature to emmerge. Just as he expected, the creature was huge, but not as big as the monster or hybrid girls of Felarya, It was none other than a Rancor. The Rancor, which was ten meters in height, looked at Tyren and Baras. It let out a loud roar as it stepped closer to the two. Tyren took his hand away from his lightsaber hooked to his belt, and began to use the Force, attempting to tame the Rancor. Since Tyren was a weilder of the Force, he had the ability to calm a beast's mind. "How this Rancor got to Felarya, I'll never know." Tyren said as he worked on taming the Rancor.

"Eh, probably the same way everyone else seems to get here. Randomly." Baras commented, still having the turrets open on the sphere in case whatever Tyren was doing didn't work.

Soon after Baras made his comment on the matter at hand, Tyren finished taming the Rancor. It growled softly, which was not a menacing growl, and walked up to Tyren and Baras. Tyren smiled at his new pet, and patted it's leg. "We must find a city to get a saddle and reins for the Rancor, so we can use it as a mount." Suddenly, a Kensha beast charged out of the foilage. The Rancor, seeing the new threat, made a terrifying roar as it charged at the Kensha. The Kensha forgot about Tyren and Baras, and rammed into the Rancor. The Rancor was knocked back, but skidded to a halt, and charged at the Kensha beast. It grabbed the Kensha beast with its hands, and smashed it onto the ground, then threw it into one of the large trees.

Baras whistled impressively as the Rancor took out the kensha beast. Wanting to help the kensha beast out, Baras pressed a couple of buttons on his gauntlet, and the sphere began to target the kensha beast, shooting some rather huge tranquilizer darts from the turrets.

The Kensha beast, now enraged, and seemingly immune to the tranquilizer darts, charged at Baras. It leaped toward him, but before it could get it's hungry jaws onto Baras, Tyren used a powerfull Force Push, hurtling the beast into another tree. The thranquilizers were knocked out of the Kensha beast in the process. The Rancor seized this oppurtinity to grab the beast with one hand, and it's mouth crunched over the kensha beast's head. The Rancor ripped the head off, and ate it. Taking a few more chunks out of the Kensha beast and eating those as well, the Rancor dropped the corpse.

"Huh...looks like I'll have to use more powerful tranquilizers in the future." Baras said, a little fluttered that he nearly came close to death. He turned to Tyren, saying, "Thanks, man, I owe you one...same goes for the Rancor there."

"No problem Baras, anytime." Tyren pondered for a bit. "I wonder what I should name my new pet."
