K, here's where I'll post ideas for characters for my comic and stories. Crit away.

Name: Nikolai Baker (More commonly known as Niko)
Sex: Male
Species: Scorpisai
Age: 12 - 13

Physical description: Niko is a young Scorpisai, and so has pale grey hair and soft, pale skin, which will turn darker and tougher with age. His eyes (all six of them, though the four on his forehead are usually hidden) are a tawny yellow/brown colour. He isn't much taller than a human kid his age, and has a tendancy to slouch. His scorpion half, especially his tail, isn't fully developed, and he isn't old enough to produce much venom anyway.

Rough backstory: Niko hatched normally, along with his numerous brothers and sisters, and was looked after pretty well by his mother, untill shortly after turning three or so, either fell off his mum's back, or ran too far away chasing a butterfly, or something like that, and ended up very lost. The miserable little arachnid somehow managed to survive a few weeks alone, till he ran into a hunter, who specialised in catching and selling rare beasties. Still, the man wasn't cruel, and treated the kid fairly well, and didn't sell him to people who looked like they'd abuse him or make him into soup. Long story short, Niko ended up being communally raised by some wandering salesmen, both as protection from predators when he grew up, and because he was a nice kid. The Hunter often visited them, and still does. Niko considers him his favorite crazy uncle.

Personality: Niko is pretty adventurous and friendly, but isn't very impulsive, thinking things through quite thoroughly, which can make him look a little slow (Which he kinda is, sometimes.) He's naturally curious, and often wants to examine things up close, which can lead to him getting in trouble. Because of his sudden isolation when he got seperated from his mother, he has a terrible fear of being alone, always finding someone to tag along after. His clingyness isn't all bad all the time though, as he quickly makes good friends and sticks with them.

The traders who raised Niko do treat him well, but are very certain that he is not going to grow up to be a predator, so he's a vegetarian. It never pays to be too careful.

English (Or French, or whatever language is the norm in Felarya) isn't Niko's first language. The traders who raised him speak a language similar to Russian, which Niko prefers to speak. Still, because it isn't as widely known, he speaks the common language when he needs to, but a bit slowly, and with some mistakes. He still has a strong accent.

Anyway, crit away. If you think he sounds generic, annoying, or most importantly Stuish, give me a yell.

He sounds very sweet. I'll be curious to see what kinds of stories you come up with for him.

Yes, I must say this is quite a cool character. The "seperated from his mom" story seems a bit used, but the character makes it work.
