Who's your pred buddy?

I know I've asked everyone a question similar to this not too long ago, but for some reason I just can't stop asking things like this. lol. So now I'm back with a new question.

If you could pick a pred to become your friend in Felarya, what would be your top 3 choices and why?

As usual with my questions, it can be anyone...well known or not...made by you, or not, etc.

Here's mine:

1. Myrah because she kicked the habbit of eating others and she's a really good cook.

2. Crisis because, hey, who wouldn't wanna be her friend? =P

3. Soinee because she's protective of her friends and even if I made it on her lunch menue instead, I'd be painlessly turned to milk before digesting.

Hmm. It's not easy to choose.

I take it by "preds" you mean only characters big enough to swallow a human, and not predators who feed on tinies?

I'm dividing my answer between my own characters and those of other writers or artists.

My characters

1. Canni. My dridder. She doesn't eat people. She's kind-hearted, and would keep me safe. Plus, friendship with Canni would mean friendship with her two adoptive sisters, the human-sized naga Shaan and dryad child Happy. They're all easy to get on with, and it could be quite fun.

2. Shelny. A vegetarian dryad who offers shelter in her branches to passing humans (and nekos, etc...). Her own best friend is the playful, energetic fairy Enita, who does eat humans - but if I were under Shelny's protection, Enita would view me as the friend of a friend, rather than as food. It would even be a rare opportunity to talk to a fairy.

3. Milly. My main character. Because, although she eats humans, she has a certain kindness about her, and she was able to spare and befriend a human on one occasion. In time, they really came to care for each other, demonstrating that she can be a good friend to a human. (Even while she's digesting other humans.)

Were I allowed predators who are too small to eat me, I might have said Elaya, my only human predator. (She eats tinies.) She was raised by fairies, and would certainly be interesting to get to know... if she did see me as a friend, rather than as food for her fairy friends.

Other characters

The order is fairly random.

1. Jade. Which is a fairly obvious answer, I suppose, but she's rightly earned the admiration and respect of many humans.

2. Marsha. She likes to make new friends, and if you approach her the right way (and she's not hungry at the time), it seems you can develop a solid, friendly relationship with her.

3. Kyria. I'm not sure why, but I imagine she would be a fun friend to have. It's that carefree, 'innocent' fairy spirit, I suppose.

4. Katrika. Just because she has a gentle heart and is a loyal friend.

5. Crisis. Of course. Fun-loving, and fiercely protective of her friends. MukatKiKaarn wrote a very good story about what it's like for a human to befriend her.

6. Pheobe. Because that would be one heck of an experience.

7. Vivian. (Need I say why? )

1. Noxcia, turboman500's very large, very friendly dridder. Why? Because she doesn't eat sentients, she comes from a scientist background, and she has a kind, protective disposition.

2) Canni, French snack's friendly dridder. Why? For most of the same reasons as Noxcia - Canni goes out and actually helps people, which is a rarity in Felarya. And it doesn't depend on them saying the right thing or acting in the proper manner, as is the case with most predators. Plus, she has Shaan and Happy, a naga and dridder, as companions. That could lead to some interesting conversations.

3) Goro, Asuroth's old, kindly treat. Why? Because he'd have some hilarious stories to tell, and hopefully would keep me from being eaten by Ciel and Liora.

I'd say :

-Crisis for Obivous reasons ^_^

-Menyssan : She's very clever, resourcefull, and one of the hardest predator to befriend I believe. plus fire succubi are very loyal once your friend.

-Subeta. Very ressoucefull too, has many friends among fairies and other preds, and love to spoil those she likes with artefacts that can be extremely useful to survive in Felarya

Terror, because I'm dating her. =P

Fiona, because she's one of the most well-developed, still lovable characters in the entire community. Plus she likes sci-fi originals.

Aya, because she doesn't get enough love, plus it would drive Lily insane.

Violet because she's awesome, unique and lovable.

Lynn because she is also awesome.

But if I had to pick just one, I think I would go with Discombobulator. Because shut up.

Lets see.....

Terra: Because she's awesome on so many levels.

Terror: ...because she's just like Terra, but with demonic magic and a cute tail.

Ryla: Because she seems like she'd be fun as hell to hang around.

Negeyari: Because she's one of the nicest characters in Felarya and seems like she'd be a good friend.

Aya: Because she's one of Karbo's originals, is a sweetheart, and gets far less attention than she deserves.

Violet: Because who wouldn't want to hang out with an awesome, spidery lady?

Fiona: Well, because she's mine, and meeting her would be awesome ^^ She's also a genuinely nice person.

Raina: Same reason as Fiona.

If I wanted some adventure, I wouldn't mind getting along with the likes of Subeta (for some treasure hunting/robbing) or Nanda (for pure exploration). And for hanging around, dunno... Terra would be a very nice choice, just being careful with her would be enough to survive her. Violet would also be a nice choice for a buddy. :3

Crisis, because since I'm a non-smoker this technically nabs me a two-for one safety if I'm ever near the Great Tree. Anna already doesn't eat (non-aggressive) people, and with Crisis not eating me it'd take a really poor action to get me in trouble. Not that I'd plan to leave Negav much.

Cypress. She's already friendly with humanoids, so I figure I might as well go further and be a friend in general. "How've you been Cypress, any interesting news?"

For #3, can't decide because a lot of the Predators I wouldn't want to try befriending. Mainly due to their "OM NOM NOM" or "Mmm lower" habits, or being dicks that befriending doesn't exactly mean you're safe "Oh, I'm still going to kill you. I'll just make sure to have Menny go easy on you." I could look through the wiki, but right now that'll be my list.

In no particular order

Vivian, explains itself really.

Anna, this one might seem a bit of a stretch given her personality, but she's in the best position to understand what its like to be a human on Felarya, having been one herself. Also I think she's a bit nicer then she lets on.

Temi, because knowing my luck I'm going to end up with some horrendous injury pretty quick, and as good as the healing soil is, it'd be nice to know someone who could patch me up a bit faster.

Wow so many choises.

Well I could say that Knowing Soinee my own fairy would be a kick, and its not like she wouldn't be a kick and safe (Soinee NEVER eats a friend, and can be psychotic in their defense) But lets go for much beter known characters mostly from the Wiki

First choises, ones I would like and feel safe around

Do I need to explain those

Second choises. ones kind of safe and would probably protect me but all comes with some down sides that could ultamely get me in trouble.

Anna... if I could not just stare at her breasts, I know she wouldn't meen to hurt me but she has problems
Subeta: same reasons as Karbo, pluss I find her sexy
Temi: I like her, but I am afraid we might get into a few arguements about some things
Feona: Very nice sweet girl, but she wold almost need my help.
Angela: She is insaine but I love her none the less

There are others, but I listed a good number already.

1. Sophie-because she's a gentle soul and often overlooked.

2. Lily-because she and I totally see eye to eye on some things. And she's cool.

3 Anko-because she's a fun-loving spirit with a strong streak of crazy!

Pred buddies huh? Well top 3 for me...

1. Negeyari, she'd be fun to be around with how curious and silly she is just randomly exploring or messing around. Of course I'd feel very safe around her as well!
2. Hmm this one's a tie- Fiona and Aurora, what can I say, I love em both.
3. Leppy...yes you read that right, Leppy! Not exactly safe sure, but she's so insane it's more than worth it. Besides, could always just carry a pickle jar around in case it looks dangerous.

Garnet. ;3 For obvious reasons!

I seem to have mastered the art of talking her in circles. I've also somehow managed to convince her I'm some sort of earth elemental demigod by merely making a small "volcano" out of dirt, then pouring baking soda and vinegar in it. x3 Woosh~

I think Garnet could realy use a friend.

If I could befriend garnet then I'd love her as a friend.

For my favorite though, and first choice I'd have to pick Myrah. She tops just about every other pred in my book, and deserves to be more well known.

Of course I'd also love my fairy, Mara. Being her friend is real nice because she is extremely protective due to what happened when she was much younger. Still, for wiki characters I dont think I'd want Jade, since its a little creepy. (my sister's name is jade, and she looks and acts similarly to her).

This last one is hard though, I wouldn't mind Terra (naga) or Rin, Nege, Cypress, or Fiona.

So my three would probably go like this:

1) Myrah
2) Mara (or Negeyari if I can't pick my own)
3) Anko (just for the thrill )

Gotta say I'm flattered that Myrah was picked a few times. I should write a story about her sometime.

Personally, I'd go with her too. She's a good cook, she likes children, she has an infinite supply of wealth in the form of silk, and if needed, she can kick ass and is willing to do so in the defense of her friends.

Heheh, after rping with her, I realized that she'd be the first person I'd seek out if I landed in Felarya. =P

true, although intentionally seeking out a dridder for help would sound like suicide. this is only if our current, felarya-wise selves got sucked in

i wonder what myrah thinks about all the other dridders who are more aggressive than her?
