well as I see it the shapes/size of elemetals is something relatively free indeed, however I imagine some recuring forms exist as well, like passed on and "memorized" somehow.

passed on and memorized? when I read that I envisioned that maybe elementals would absorb their dead and gain their knowledge as well. I don't know if that's what you were saying though.

As for golems, I'm pretty sure that the sentient golems could live with elementals, but the non sentient ones don't. Or they could be used to guard precious places and artifacts.

Actually, by the broad definition, a sentient creature is a creature that can feel something. A Kensha is sentient since it can feel pain and anger. If you mean something like Crisis, you mean sapient, which means "Wise".

Ideas for Fire Elementals

Fire Elementals are, as the name suggests, an elemental spirit inhabiting a source of flame or fire. While fires normally spread further or burn out, fire elementals are able to keep a regulated body. Like all elementals, they range in intelligence. Fire elementals tend to be passionate, easily roused to anger, love or other emotions. Fire elementals can be found across Felarya, but are very rare in wet environments. They are most common in open areas, with little vegetation or water.

Imp

An Imp is a small, roughly Tiny sized Fire Elemental. They rarely grow beyond the size of Tinies and require little fire for their initial body. They appear as small, fiery beings, often with a head like a candle flame. Imps are mischievous creatures who delight in making trouble for amusement. The better sort of Imps are an endearing annoyance - they worse are a serious liability, giving a whole new meaning to the term "playing with fire". Many often confuse Imps as some sort of demonic creature. While it is true that many frequent Hell, due to the climate, they are a purely elemental creature. In Hell, their small size makes them often used as messengers and familiars of Fire Succubi.

Brenests

Brenests are a Fire Elemental usually found on open plains or rocky barrens. It is like a horse, though with eight legs and made of pure flame, shimmering from white hot to smoldering reds and oranges. They are very rare and are said to never stop galloping, always on the move, sustaining themselves only on air. Wether this is true or not, they feature in the mythology of many tribes across Felarya. It is commonly known that if you manage to catch one, it will grant you a wish in return for releasing it.

Ideas for Lightning Elementals

Lightning Elementals are made from pure electricity, constantly flowing and thus shaped into a form. Lightning Elementals are never still, constantly shifting as they pulse over and over. Lightning Elementals are usually ariel creatures and are most common in areas like the Great Rocky Fields. Lightning Elementals' power fluxes to great powers during lightning storms, when they can augment with extra electricity. The most powerful Lightning elementals only appear during storms (or create storms wherever they go!) They tend to be chaotic, or at least in many ways very alien, living and thinking in a very different way to those static beings on the ground.

Storm Bringer

A Storm Bringer is a fearsome Lightning elemental which is rumoured to be able to ride in great black clouds above the Earth. They have a long body, two long arms with claw like hands, jaws with thunderbolt teeth and a single blinding "eye" or nexus. Though they look barely human, they are intelligent and cunning. They are not outright hostile, but hold little interest in what occours outside of their stormy domains and if one is angered, they will cause immense amounts of destruction.

Tanngiosts

An animalistic lightning elemental, Tanngiosts resemble large Rams, made of electricity, thundering through the sky. They are attracted to where storms occour, but have no power over storms themselves. During these storms, they often fight each other, for dominance over some unknown. They sometimes jump down to the ground in a blast of lightning before charging back to the sky in an instant to impact their rivals. No one has stuck around long enough during one of these events to see if there is actually a winner.

I'm putting this idea here too, it may seem kind of repetitive a post, but I don't think anybody saw my original post of it. (At least, no one provided feedback, which is what I'm hoping for.)

Also, I changed the name to be far more original than "faceless". The name just kept reminding me too much of WoW whenever I saw it. I'm not sure what the suffix "iote/ote" stands for, but I just thought it sounded cool.

Lacidriote (Water Elemental)

This creature mostly represents what looks to be a thick humanoid upper half, and a large tail that trails off into a body of water. Though it may be water, it is not translucent, and as such is theorized that there is a separate water-like membranous shell or layer around it. This elemental can not be cut effectively by a melee weapon, because it simply passes right through the water. If the water elemental does open up, water that spills out can simply be sucked back in.

Elementals have only two eyes, and no nose or mouth, and does not talk with audible words, but with telepathy.

When this creature feeds, it is not death. Sustenance for the water elemental is merely just more water. It sucks a creature or adventurer and is able to obtain any sort of knowledge said victim might have. Adventurers that fall victim to a water elemental will often find themselves waking up from what seems like a dream a fair time later, for it is unknown exactly how long a water elemental keeps one trapped inside them. No one knows either how water elementals manage to keep it's victims alive; that only the elementals knows (and they do not share that information).

Of course, due to the inability to digest victims, interesting relations between the water elemental and the victim may arise. They can also relate to being prey too, as many larger preds often try to drink them up like water. Many of these elementals live in small communities in various rivers and lakes all over felarya, and craft many tools for themselves that may be very valuable to outsiders.

When they reproduce, Two elementals will join themselves together, and instinctually, will search for a safe place to hide. Over a period of time both elementals will split off and double, meaning that both "parents" will become four newborn elemental "children". The parents of the newborns will be "transferred" into two of the smaller elemental bodies. The knowledge imparted will also be transfered upon reproduction, but not the memories...

While we're on Water elementals, should probably repost this.

Water Elemental - River Snake

The River Snake is a water elemental found in damper areas of Felarya, being most common in the Torrential Coast. However, they are still a very rare form of elemental. They are massive and especially long and appear to be a serpentine creature made entirely out of water held into this shape. River Snakes are unique in that each is in a way a miniature ecosystem. River Snakes have no way to feed themselves, but at creation, each River Snake takes into its body a variety of aquatic organisms, such as fish, many of which can be quite large themselves. These creatures live out their lives and reproduce within the moving River Snake. The River Snake, though little understood means, sustains itself on the life-force of these creatures. In return it provides them with food - the River Snake will eat almost anything, plant or animal, which then passes into its watery body and is in turn eaten by the creatures living there, wether herbivores or carnivores. River snakes grow larger the older they are, every so often returning to the water source from where they were born and taking on new water and passengers. The very oldest ones are extremely huge and contain fish that could easily gobble up an adventurer. Even being eaten by a smaller River Snake is dangerous if you are not a top quality swimmer - currents inside them flow backwards, to disperse food and keep it from escaping through the sides of the River Snake.

Well, I tried a re-write for the Elven Pantheon (in my ideas thread). Maybe this version makes them better.

I meant people commenting on it - more especially Karbo, since he's the only one who can authorize our ideas as canon.

Well the wiki is closed for the time being. It's on a pause of sort.
I did some work on it recently though, especially on those blank entries.

Yeah, you've done some great work with it.

I'm not sure if I understand the point and purpose of the wiki closing. It's not like it was open to everyone to start with and updates are still being made to it.

Archmage Bael : mhh I think that Lacidriote is nice but maybe a little generic at this stage ? ^^ ; in their appearance and in that ability to eat without digesting. That idea could be more devleopped I think. for example what they are doing with those memories ?

And also take the occasion of that pause for everyone to reflect on the fact that the wiki should never be considered an end in itself. I worry that some people are starting to get obsessed by it. Helping and giving ideas should remain a light and, first and foremost, enjoyable thing, not a dead serious business ^^;

I'm not too sure when it will open again exactly but it's only temporary, not more than a few weeks or so.
And ideas are not being ignored. I'm still looking and commenting at them.

I think that really only applies to newer members who see the wiki as some kind of prize, or the idiots over on DA who think that all ideas make it into the wiki, and that their idea is terrible if it doesn't. I know I haven't seen anyone among the forum regulars who thinks that way.

Honestly, I think part of the problem with the current community is that too many people don't take Felarya serious enough. But then again, I actually care about the world and doing what is good for it. You can enjoy yourself and have fun, while being serious and respectful to the setting.

Either way, it'll be nice to see the wiki opened up again. Its closure was just a knee-jerk reaction to the drama afterall. If nothng else, at least its letting you catch up on some of the back-log.

I just wanna say that I was going through the wiki and I saw the page for the character Q'Tada'x'silath, and I got curious. This character is mentioned nowhere, has no info on its page aside from the fact that it is an insect, is never mentioned or used or anything. Hell, I don't even know how to pronounce that D:
