Haar instantly turned meek, suddenly remembering where he was and who he was yelling at.

"Nothing, Ma'am," Haar's manner was reminiscent of a young child who had just gotten in MAJOR trouble with his parents, "I'm sorry."

Haar clenched his eyes tightly, waiting for Anna to eat him or something. After three minutes with nothing happening, Haar slowly peeked open one eye to discover that Anna was once again engrossed in his cellphone. Now Haar just HAD to know what was going on.

An idea occurred to him. Opening his laptop again, Haar navigated to his cellphone's account. He navigated to the "Text message logs" page and browsed the most recent entries.

No wonder she's so into this. She's having the most techno-geek text conversation I've ever seen! ...That is so HOT!

Gah, what am I thinking?! Sure she's intelligent, pretty, and charming-in a I'm-gonna-kill-you kinda way, but she's also a giant, anger-prone naga who's likely to eat me the instant I make her mad! But still, judging by the conversation she's having on my phone, she'd make a great conversationalist (at least with the techies), and she's VERY easy on the eyes. Gah, I'm so lonely it's pathetic!

Wow, I think I have a crush on Anna! ...Better not let Katrika find out!

Whatever), a girl who he could swore he'd seen somewhere before, a demon, and a green haired bespectacled naga. Is that Ryla? No time to geek out about that now, everyone was looking at him strangely. He puts on his most winning smile and waves.
