This topic shall contain some of my written down ideas for creatures, plants and other stuff, of which I dont think a topic for themselves would be necessary. These are mostly fun ideas and not as developed as the usual stuff I do. ^^

Amaroqs lovely critters, plants and artifacts Hyorrogan_zps728ef734
An extremely rare elderly Hyoroddan, approximately 420 feet long.

Size: 1 to ??? feet
Threat: low to High

Hyorrodan are a armored centipede species who are most notably known for their surpring speed and their ability to cling to any surface, which, combined with their rapidly moving tentacles, can make them extremely dangerous threats. They can most commonly found within evernight forest, even though their hives can be found at any place if enough space and either a soft ground or large enough trees are given as they prefer to live either inside the ground or high above ground inside the tree branches and stumps.

Hyorrodan are an evergrowing species and it is currently unknown to which size these creatures are capable of growing. Their origin is not in Felarya, and in their homeworld, the growth was stopped eventually by the creatures limited lifespan, causing them to never grow further than 2 feet, however, after being brought to Felarya, the felaryan Hyorrodan adapted to the longevity of the felaryan soil. Hyorrodan will continue to  grow for as long as they live and if not taken care of, their hives are said to be capable of causing entire swathes of land to crumble into the earth.
They posess multiple heart tubes and trachae which are located on the back of the creature and will grow more accordingly when the growth of the Hyorrodans body requires it, while new segments will be created at the base of their tails.
Hyorrogans develop a very thick yet lightweight multi segmented chitin armor of a dark brownish to green colour on most of their back and their legs, that is complimented by a grey leathery skin underneath. Their legs end in claws, that have multiple smaller claws attached to then, partially on a microscopic level, despite their size. These allow the Hyorrodan to climb on any surface, even upside down, as long as the structure is able to withstand its weight. The sharp claws also allow for quick and efficient digging and even though they are too short to be effectively used as a weapon.
Hyorrogans evolved from a purely underground living species, even though familiarities to tonorions cannot entirely be ruled out, and thus posess no eyes nor ears. They are completely blind and deaf in the common sense, but make up for the lack of senses by sporting highly developed whiskers which are protruding from their back and inner legs. These sensors allow them to feel even slightest vibrations in the ground  and even the air and the significant clicking sound they make when moving generates some sort of sonar they can use in order to make out obstacles. The most notable of these whiskers are the massive antennae on top of their head as well as at their rear, which are even more sensitive, allowing their "sonar" to also form a relatively distinct picture of their further away surroundings.

Their most feared trademark however is their maw, as unlike most arthropodae, they not only posess a pair of mandibles to crush and break their meal, but also a large array of extremely long and flexible tongues. A Hyorrodan can always be seen sticking out a few of its tongues in order to smell and identify even the faintest odor in its surroundings and their constant wiggling and flexing enables them to even smell the air in search for prey.
Using these elongated tongues, the Hyorrodan is capable of identifying potential meals and pulling them into their maw. If unsure whether something is edible or not, like when a prey wears non organic clothing, the Hyorrodan will pull the object in question into its maw and examine it closely with the tentacle-like tongues, often in an attempt to remove any indigestable remains while keeping all organic matter inside its maw to swallow it after proper segregation has been performed. Since the Hyorrodans tentacles are capable of both smelling and tasting, they will often seek out notable sections on their meals form and examine it closely before devouring it. Whether this is part of a learning process or it is simply enjoying the taste cannot be said for certain.
The Hyorrodan also sports a single, especially large tentacle, which is much less flexible than the others, but extremely thick and capable of stretching a long distance in the blink of an eye. At its tip, it posesses a second maw, surrounded by mandibles and much smaller tentacles, which it can use to both penetrate a victims armored hide and dig into it, causing it to not get away anymore, or, if the prey is too large to be swallowed whole, to thrust the smaller maw into the victim and tear off chunks of meat for easier consumption. The penetration power of this extremely quick organ is strong enough to even burst open steelbeton or adamant, if the creature is large enough.
Both, the main maw and the second maw posess their own esophagus, leading to the stomach. Cilia like protrusions of varying length extend from the stomach walls, to immobilize the often still alive prey and thus preventing it from causing inner damage and rub the digestive acids all over and even into its body, before the nutrience mush is sucked further into their digestive system and processed as normal.

The species is known to only posess a limited intellect. It is capable of communicating in very basic  ways with its specimens by using the clicking of their feet or mandibles as what is some sort of morse code, and they are able to very slowly learn and adapt to preys behavior. Hyorrogan begin theiir lives with an instinct knowledge of hunting techniques, most notably either hiding underground just barely below the surface or on top of trees, to shoot their tentacles or their second maw at unsuspecting prey, however, depending on the region and prey avaiable, other hunting methods have been spotted. Hyorrogan live in hives, yet show no particular refrain from cannibalism, causing small Hyorrogan to live in hives while larger specimen are expelled and can be seen as loners in the forest in order to prevent the extinction of the entire hive after a certain growth of its oldest individual. Whether this exile is the result of instinct or adapted behavior cannot be said for certain, as this problem only appeared when the felaryan version grew large enough to eat smaller members of their own species.
Hyorrogans are hermaphrodites, posessing both reproduction organs at the same time. they are located just below their cloaka, requiring them to crawl up onto each other backwards when mating, before the eggsack inside are fertilized. A Hyorrogans body will produce several hundred fist sized eggs and eventually deposit them from their ovipositor, usually underground or in small crevices. If a hive is present, other Hyorrogans will take care of the breeding and feeding of the young, otherwise they are left to themselves, causing many if not the entire breed to die, while hives grow extremely quickly and could be a serious threat to an entire region if not for other predators to decimate their count and keeping their population at bay.

I like it. It's a good complement to the existing Tonorions - now we have more than one large predatory arthropod species to worry about ^^

So... anyway to deal with it? If you are naked, it eats you. If you wear clothes and armors, it strips you : d

I imagine that since they are blind, they would stand still for most of the time, and when hearing noises, they will quickly rush in and use their sense of smell and touch to examine and grabs anything edible. This would make throwing a rock and move silently a good way to distract them : P

Good job on this one. The idea is interesting and detailed. They look a pretty nightmarish species if you try and explore the underground.
